Regulation
10/10 · CriticalNo licence from any authority, a published NFA membership number that is on no NFA record, and an FCA warning naming this exact website.
Identity & transparency
9/10 · CriticalNo named management at all, a Saint Vincent address alongside a claimed Hong Kong office and a Bulgarian phone, and the only verifiable registration for the entity name dissolved in March 2022.
Withdrawals & conduct
5/10 · ModerateFour fund-integrity reports describe profits withheld and accounts blocked, but they sit on one platform and nearly all advertise recovery services, so the pattern is unconfirmed.
Reputation
8/10 · CriticalA regulator warning plus a uniformly negative and now closed review footprint, with no credible positive accounts anywhere, though the overall volume is thin.
Website claims
9/10 · CriticalIt published a specific US regulatory membership number that does not exist and left another broker's name and template placeholder text in its own onboarding copy; it did at least carry a plain risk warning and promised no guaranteed returns.
Operational history
8/10 · CriticalStarted September 2020, but the contracting company was dissolved after 17 months and both websites have since been abandoned, so the history is a churned and now defunct operation.
Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.
- Brand: Wisdom, also presented as Wisdom Forex.
- Legal entity: Wisdom Technology Services Limited. The only corporate registration found for that exact name is UK company 12918938, incorporated 1 October 2020 and dissolved 8 March 2022, with a sole director, Benjamin Gimson, and a registered office at 10 Queen Street, Ipswich.
- Registered address given to clients: Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre, Beachmont, Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with a second office claimed in Central, Hong Kong.
- Websites: fxwisdom.co.uk, which no longer resolves, and wisdom-forex.com, which now sits on a domain auction page.
- Contact published: a Bulgarian mobile number, +359 876 112 340, and info@fxwisdom.co.uk.
- Only licence claimed: National Futures Association membership number 0544538, which is not on the NFA register. No other authority was named.
- Offered: MetaTrader 4, live and demo accounts, and CFDs on currencies, metals, indices, shares, energy and cryptocurrencies, with a managed or copy-trading pitch to let top traders do the job for you.
- Age: the brand dates from September 2020. The domain wisdom-forex.com was registered on 14 September 2020 and the UK company was incorporated on 1 October 2020.
- Status now: defunct. Both websites are gone and the UK company is dissolved.

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
Four findings, each from a primary source, drive this verdict.
- A regulator named this exact website. The FCA published a warning for fxwisdom.co.uk on 22 September 2023, listing the Saint Vincent address and the Bulgarian telephone number that this operation used. The FCA states that the firm is not authorised by it and is targeting people in the UK, and that anyone dealing with it has no access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and no protection from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. A warning that names the domain, not just the brand, is the strongest single piece of evidence available in this kind of case.
- The US registration it advertised does not exist. The site's legal footer read: 'Wisdom Forex is a trading forex broker name of Wisdom Technology Services Limited. Business company in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and registration member with the National Futures Association (NFA #0544538)'. We searched the NFA register by that number and then by firm name. The number returns nothing, and the full list of NFA entities containing the word Wisdom contains no Wisdom Technology Services Limited and no Wisdom Forex. The NFA register keeps historic and withdrawn members on file, so an absence here is meaningful rather than a timing gap.
- It kept trading after its company was dissolved. UK Companies House shows Wisdom Technology Services Limited, company number 12918938, dissolved on 8 March 2022. The operation's own site was still serving broker content in June 2022, the .co.uk site appeared in December 2022, and the FCA warning followed in September 2023. Selling accounts in the name of a company that has ceased to exist leaves a client with no identifiable counterparty.
- The site itself was assembled carelessly from someone else's material. The homepage was built on a business consultancy template with the placeholder text left in place, including a heading for a consultancy in New Milton and a block of filler prose, and the footer still read copyright 2020 Wisdom Consultancy. Its sign-up section instructed visitors to sign up for a Skilling account, wording taken from an unrelated broker. A firm that cannot be bothered to remove another company's name from its own onboarding page is not running a real brokerage.
Two further points add weight without carrying the verdict. The identity does not hold together: a Saint Vincent registered address, a Hong Kong office, a UK domain aimed at UK residents and a Bulgarian phone number, with no named management anywhere on the site. And the operation has now disappeared on both of its domains. Clients wrote that they made a profit and were then ignored, with accounts blocked while holding a balance, but nearly every one of those reviews also advertises a so-called fund recovery service, which is the signature of a second wave of operators farming victims. We therefore record the withdrawal pattern as unconfirmed rather than proven, and it is not what the verdict rests on.
One correction to our own file matters here. Our record carried a tier-one US licence for this broker, NFA number 0336784. That number is genuine, but it belongs to Wisdom Trading Inc of Newport Beach, California, an introducing broker whose forex registration was withdrawn in January 2012. It is a different company and this operation never claimed it. We have removed it from this broker's regulatory profile.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1The FCA published a warning on 22 September 2023, updated 25 September 2023, naming the website fxwisdom.co.uk and listing its address as Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre, Beachmont, Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with telephone 359876112340. The notice states the firm is not authorised by the FCA and is targeting people in the UK, and that clients have no access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and no FSCS protection.
Hard proofFinancial Conduct Authority warning listE2The operation's own legal footer stated: 'Wisdom Forex is a trading forex broker name of Wisdom Technology Services Limited. Business company in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and registration member with the National Futures Association (NFA #0544538)'. This is the only regulatory claim it ever made, and it names a United States tier-one body.
E3The NFA register returns no record for membership number 0544538. A firm-name search for Wisdom on the same register lists every NFA entity containing that word, and it includes no Wisdom Technology Services Limited and no Wisdom Forex. The register retains withdrawn and historic registrations, so the absence is not a timing gap.
E4UK Companies House records Wisdom Technology Services Limited, company number 12918938, incorporated 1 October 2020 and dissolved 8 March 2022, registered office 10 Queen Street, Ipswich, with a single director and a stated business of fund management. The website was still serving broker content in June 2022 and was the subject of a regulator warning in September 2023, after that dissolution.
StrongUK Companies HouseE5NFA ID 0336784, the number carried on our own record for this broker, is a genuine registration held by Wisdom Trading Inc of Newport Beach, California, formerly Wisdom Financial Inc, as an introducing broker. Its forex firm registration was withdrawn on 31 January 2012. It is a different company in a different country and this operation never claimed it, so the tier-one United States licence on file was a record error and not the broker's own claim.
E6The homepage was built on an unmodified business consultancy template: it carried a heading for a smart business consultancy in New Milton, a block of filler prose, service headings for audit and assurance, and a footer reading copyright 2020 Wisdom Consultancy. Its own sign-up instructions told visitors to sign up for a Skilling account, which is the name of an unrelated broker.
E7The published identity does not line up across jurisdictions. The site gave an office at Suite C, Level 7, in Central, Hong Kong, a registered address in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a UK domain aimed at UK residents, and a Bulgarian mobile number, and it named no directors, managers or owners anywhere.
E8A review platform holds nine reviews for fxwisdom.co.uk, all one star with a zero per cent recommendation rate. Four describe fund-integrity failures: profits made and then withdrawal requests refused or ignored, and an account blocked while holding a balance. Almost every review also promotes a named fund recovery service, which is the hallmark of recovery operators harvesting victims, so the set is treated as an unconfirmed pattern rather than proof.
E9Both of the operation's websites are gone. fxwisdom.co.uk does not resolve and its registration has lapsed. The other domain, wisdom-forex.com, was registered on 14 September 2020, had its hosting suspended as early as October 2022, was reduced to a bare default server page by February 2024, and now displays a GoDaddy auction page offering the name for sale.
E10A third-party broker review published on 6 October 2023 and tied to fxwisdom.co.uk records the operation as unlicensed, notes that no proof of regulation appeared anywhere on its website by that date, and cites the FCA warning. It also records that the site published no withdrawal policy, limits, fees or processing times.
ModerateChainBits broker reviewE11Several unrelated operations share the Wisdom name and were excluded after checking them against this broker's domain and legal entity: Wisdom Finance of Uxbridge, which carries its own separate FCA warning dated 9 June 2023 for the website wisdomfinance.co.uk; wisfx.com, which has been the subject of an Italian blocking order; and Wisdom Trading Inc of California. None of their findings is recorded against this broker.
E12Trustpilot holds no reviews at all for fxwisdom.co.uk and records that the company's website has closed. No regulator enforcement action, no fine, no court record and no credible specific demand for an advance payment to release funds was found naming this entity or either of its domains.
E13The archived homepage carried a plain risk warning stating that its services inevitably entail significant risk and can result in the loss of invested funds. We found no guaranteed-profit or fixed-return promise, no fake celebrity endorsement and no upfront fee demanded on the operation's own pages.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
The case in this broker's favour, tested honestly.
- Could it be a regional arm of the real US firm? There is a genuine NFA-registered firm called Wisdom Trading Inc in Newport Beach, California, run by principals whose family name is Wisdom. We checked for any link and found none: a different country, a different legal entity, a forex registration withdrawn in 2012, and no mention of this operation on its record. Nothing connects them beyond a common English word.
- Could the NFA absence be a register lag? No. The claim was published by mid-2022, and the NFA register retains historic and withdrawn registrations, as the 2012 withdrawal on the California firm's own entry shows. A real membership granted at any point would still appear.
- Could this be a name collision? This is a crowded name, so we pinned every finding to the domain or the exact legal entity. Several unrelated operations share the word: Wisdom Finance of Uxbridge, which carries its own separate FCA warning from June 2023; wisfx.com, which has been the subject of an Italian blocking order; and Wisdom Financial Service Limited of Saint Lucia. None of those findings is included here, and none of them is this broker.
- Could it be a prop firm or an introducer that needs no licence? No. It offered live accounts, MetaTrader 4 and CFDs on its own platform, and it held itself out as one of the world's leading forex brokers. That is deposit-taking brokerage, so authorisation in the markets it solicited was required.
- What it did do properly. The site carried a plain risk warning telling visitors that its services could result in the loss of their invested funds, and we found no guaranteed-profit or fixed-return promise, no fake celebrity endorsement and no demand for an upfront fee on its own pages. We also found no regulator enforcement action and no court record naming this entity. The case against it is unauthorised business and a false registration claim, not a proven theft.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Concrete findings that would move this verdict.
- The NFA register showing membership 0544538, or any registration for Wisdom Technology Services Limited, would remove the central false-claim finding and force a rewrite.
- The FCA removing the fxwisdom.co.uk entry from its warning list, or recording the website against an authorised firm, would remove the hardest item in the ledger.
- A corporate registry record showing Wisdom Technology Services Limited as an active company in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with continuity through the period the site was selling accounts, would answer the dissolved-entity finding.
- Documented evidence that clients were paid out in full when the sites closed, for example a liquidator's account or payment confirmations, would overturn the fund-integrity concern entirely.
- Conversely, a regulator or court finding of fraud, or a credible and specific account of a demand for an extra payment before funds were released, would push this to a confirmed verdict.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Wisdom a scam?
Our assessment is that it very probably was. The UK Financial Conduct Authority placed fxwisdom.co.uk on its warning list in September 2023, saying the firm is not authorised and is targeting people in the UK. The operation also advertised a National Futures Association membership number that does not appear on the NFA register. Both of its websites are now gone.
Is Wisdom a fraud?
No court or regulator has made a finding of fraud against this entity, so we do not state that as fact. What we can report is that the FCA warned the public about this exact website, that the US registration number it published is on no NFA record, and that clients reported profits being withheld. On that evidence we assess the risk of fraud as high.
Is Wisdom regulated?
No. We found no licence from any authority. The only regulatory claim the operation ever made was National Futures Association membership number 0544538, and the NFA register holds no record of that number or of any company by this name. Describing itself as a business company in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a company registration claim, not financial regulation.
Was Wisdom really a member of the NFA?
No. We searched the NFA BASIC register by the number printed in the site's own footer, 0544538, and then by firm name. The number returns nothing, and the complete list of NFA entities containing the word Wisdom contains no Wisdom Technology Services Limited and no Wisdom Forex. The NFA keeps withdrawn members on file, so this is a genuine absence and not a delay in updating.
Is Wisdom the same company as Wisdom Trading in California?
No, and the distinction matters. Wisdom Trading Inc of Newport Beach, California holds genuine NFA ID 0336784 as an introducing broker. It is a separate company in a different country with different owners, and it has no connection to the Saint Vincent operation that ran fxwisdom.co.uk. Our own file previously carried that California firm's number against this broker, and we have corrected it.
Can I still withdraw my money from Wisdom?
There is no working platform to withdraw from. fxwisdom.co.uk no longer resolves and wisdom-forex.com is listed for sale at a domain auction. The company name behind the brand was dissolved in March 2022. Your realistic routes are your bank or card issuer and a report to the authorities, not the broker.
Is the fxwisdom.co.uk website still working?
No. The domain does not resolve at all, and its registration has lapsed. The operation's earlier site, wisdom-forex.com, had already been reduced to a bare default server page by early 2024 and is now parked for sale. If a site using this brand appears again, it is a new operator, not a revival of this one.
Who was behind Wisdom Technology Services Limited?
The only corporate record we could open for that exact name is UK company 12918938, which lists a single director, Benjamin Gimson, and a registered office at 10 Queen Street, Ipswich. The company was dissolved on 8 March 2022. The website itself named no directors, no managers and no owners, which is unusual for a firm asking the public for deposits.
What does a Saint Vincent and the Grenadines registration actually mean?
Very little for a trading account. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines issues no forex licences and its authority does not supervise forex brokers, so a company registered there is simply an incorporated company. It carries no capital requirement, no segregation of client money, no compensation scheme and no complaints body. It should never be read as regulation.
Did any regulator take action against Wisdom?
The FCA published a consumer warning naming fxwisdom.co.uk on 22 September 2023, updated three days later. We found no enforcement action, fine or court judgment against this entity. A warning list entry is a public alert rather than a prosecution, but it is a regulator stating that the operation had no permission to approach UK residents.
What should I do if I deposited money with Wisdom?
Contact your bank or card provider straight away and ask about a chargeback or payment recall, since time limits apply. Report the loss to the FCA and, in the UK, to Action Fraud. Gather your deposit receipts, statements and any messages from account managers. Do not pay anyone who contacts you offering to recover the funds.
What should I check before depositing with any broker?
Find the licence number on the broker's site, then search it on the regulator's own register rather than following the broker's link. Confirm that the website address on the register entry is the exact site you are using, and that the status is current. Then check whether the company behind it exists and is active in a corporate registry. Wisdom failed all three of those tests.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Treat this as a closed operation and do not attempt to deal with it.
- Do not deposit. There is nothing left to deposit into, and any site or person now inviting payments under the Wisdom Forex name should be treated as an impersonation.
- Ignore anyone offering to recover your money for a fee. Most of the reviews left about this broker are advertisements for recovery operators. Paying one is how a first loss becomes a second.
- If you lost money, report it to the authorities rather than to a private service. UK residents should report to the FCA and to Action Fraud. Report the payment to your bank or card issuer immediately and ask about a chargeback or recall, which has a far better record than any recovery agent.
- Keep your records. Deposit receipts, platform statements, account manager names and chat logs are what a bank or a regulator will ask for.
- Before using any broker, check the register yourself. Search the regulator's own database for the licence number and confirm the website on the entry matches the site you are on. A number printed in a footer with no link to a register is a claim, not a licence.
This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed October 11, 2026.
