The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has issued a new warning against a group of websites that are offering, or appear to offer, investment services without the necessary authorisation in Cyprus.
In a notice dated 14 August 2026, CySEC stated that the identified websites do not belong to entities authorised to provide investment services or perform investment activities under Article 5 of Law 87(I)/2017. As such, they fall outside the regulator’s supervisory framework.
Websites named in CySEC’s latest warning
The latest warning lists the following websites:
- m4-platform.com
- m4-markets-latam.vercel.app
- waltonmarketltd.com
- investiumlimited.com
- evercrest.capital
- gofx.com
- tazerpro.com
- quantacfd.com
- cypriantrustbank.com
- omnixmarkets.com
CySEC noted that these domains are not associated with entities authorised under Cypriot law to provide investment services. The regulator did not disclose further information on the operators behind the websites.
Similarities with regulated brands
Some of the named websites use names that resemble existing or regulated financial brands. CySEC’s public register lists Investium Limited as a licensed CIF with licence number 421/22, but its approved domain is flexinvest.com, not investiumlimited.com. Similarly, the approved-domain list includes www.m4markets.eu for Harindale Ltd, the operator of the M4Markets trade name, while the warning refers to m4-platform.com and m4-markets-latam.vercel.app.
The regulator’s notice underlines that the listed domains are not connected to the authorised entities recorded in its register, despite the similarities in naming.
Investor protection and verification
CySEC reiterated its call for investors to consult its official website before engaging with any investment firm. The regulator maintains a public register of regulated entities, where investors can verify company names, licence numbers, approved domains and contact details before opening an account or transferring funds.
Firms operating without authorisation in Cyprus are not supervised by CySEC, meaning clients may not have access to the protections that apply when dealing with licensed investment firms. The warning forms part of the regulator’s ongoing practice of updating the public on websites that are not connected to authorised entities but present themselves as brokers or financial service providers.
