MetaQuotes has released MetaTrader 5 Build 6180, an update that widens the range of platform tasks its AI Assistant can carry out and adjusts how the web terminal treats stop levels on netting accounts. The company said the update is delivered through the Live Update system, with the new version of the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform released on Friday, September 4, 2026.
The main change is a significantly expanded set of tools available to the AI Assistant for working with the trading platform and the Strategy Tester. The assistant can now retrieve and analyse tester reports and logs, check its current settings, help launch optimisations, add indicators to charts with specified parameters, and work with terminal and Expert Advisor logs.
According to MetaQuotes, the effect is that MT5 users can delegate more complex tasks tied to the testing, optimisation and analysis of trading robots directly to the MetaTrader 5 agent, with the agent performing more actions inside the platform and the Strategy Tester itself.
MQL5 gains additional matrix and vector methods
For developers, Build 6180 expands the capabilities for working with complex matrices and vectors in MQL5. Support for additional methods is intended to simplify the processing, conversion and validation of complex data in mathematical and analytical tasks.
Web terminal preserves stop levels on netting accounts
The web terminal now handles stop levels on netting accounts differently. When a new trade is placed for an instrument that already has an open position, the terminal keeps the position's current Stop Loss and Take Profit levels rather than allowing them to be removed accidentally.
