ATFX's Hong Kong licence is held not by the brand but by AT Global Financial Services (HK) Limited, one of its registered corporate entities. The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) public register lists that company under central entity number BUM667 as a licensed corporation for a single regulated activity, Leveraged Foreign Exchange Trading, effective since 22 July 2024 and open-ended as of 20 October 2026.
The SFC, Hong Kong's statutory securities and futures regulator, licenses firms activity by activity under the Securities and Futures Ordinance. Leveraged Foreign Exchange Trading is Type 3 in that scheme. The record lists neither Type 1, Dealing in Securities, nor Type 2, Dealing in Futures Contracts.
Two licensing conditions, both effective 22 July 2024, narrow that scope. The licensee may only provide services to institutional professional investors, as specified in paragraph 15.2 of the SFC's Code of Conduct, and may not provide discretionary account services for its Type 3 activity. The entry evidences the authorisation and its limits, not the company's solvency or conduct, and covers this Hong Kong company, not every entity or website trading as ATFX.
The register also printed a date of licence of 22 July 2024, a principal place of business at Room 1103, 11/F, 303 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, and an email address at atghk.com. It shows no website, telephone number, Chinese name or previous name, and no licence under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance. No public disciplinary action was shown; the register omits any that took effect over five years ago.
To check independently, search BUM667 on the SFC public register and open the Licence record and Conditions tabs. The register gives no expiry date for SFC licences, so the position changes only if the Type 3 period is closed, the conditions are varied, a disciplinary action is recorded or the company is renamed.
