Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

- Only licence: None. No regulator authorised this site, and CySEC warned against it.

- Age claim: 'Present since 2009', which is false. The domain dates to December 2024.

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
Two things settle this: a regulator warned against the exact website, and the people who deposited money could not get it back.
- A named regulator warning. CySEC, the Cyprus regulator, listed athloscapitalinvest.com on 19 May 2025 among websites that hold no authorisation to provide investment services. A warning against the exact domain is the strongest single signal we look for.
- A borrowed identity. The name is a near-copy of a real licensed firm. Athlos Capital Investment Services Ltd holds CySEC licence 348/17 and its approved websites are athloscapital.com and usesophic.com. This site took the name but is a separate, unauthorised operation.
- The theft pattern. Users describe a small first deposit, pressure to pay more, then a demand for an extra payment to 'unlock' a withdrawal, and a blocked account when they refused. One reviewer named an account manager, Alex Devos, who then disappeared.
- Claims that do not hold up. It called itself 'safe and regulated' with no licence to show, claimed 200,000 investors and a Lloyd's of London insurance policy, and said it had traded 'since 2009' although the domain is from December 2024.
- A mass-produced kit. Its sign-up button even pointed at a shared client panel used by a separate brand that impersonates the broker JustMarkets, a sign of one operator running several look-alike sites.
- On this record we assess the risk of fraud as high. The site is now offline and its domain has lapsed, which is how these operations usually end.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1CySEC issued an investor warning on 19 May 2025 naming athloscapitalinvest.com among 14 websites with no authorisation to provide investment services in or from Cyprus.
E2CySEC licence 348/17 belongs to Athlos Capital Investment Services Ltd (authorised since 11 Dec 2017, Nicosia), whose approved sites are athloscapital.com and usesophic.com. The suspect domain is not on that licence.
Hard proofCySEC public registerE3Trustpilot users report deposits accepted then withdrawals refused, accounts blocked, and a demand for a further payment after a EUR 200 deposit before funds would be released; an account manager named Alex Devos then vanished.
Hard proofTrustpilot (athloscapitalinvest.com)E4The archived homepage advertised the site as a 'safe and regulated' broker relying on 'our Licence', while no licence was ever verifiable.
E5The site's footer claimed 'Presenti Dal 2009' (present since 2009), but the earliest web archive capture is 21 December 2024 and the domain is now deregistered.
E6The registration button linked to a shared client panel also used by a JustMarkets-impersonator brand (panel.justmarketsltd.eu.com), and the site ran a mass-produced WordPress broker kit, indicating one operator behind several look-alike sites.
E7The legal documents were generic auto-generated boilerplate containing an unfilled placeholder ('prevailing law of af') and named no operating company, address or jurisdiction.
E8athloscapitalinvest.com and panel.athloscapitalinvest.com no longer resolve (NXDOMAIN) and the domain is no longer registered; the operation is defunct.
ModerateGoogle Public DNSE9The site ran a full Italian-language brokerage with tiered accounts requiring EUR 10,000 to EUR 100,000 deposits and dedicated account managers, soliciting EU residents without authorisation.
E10The genuine Athlos Capital Investment Services Ltd is CySEC-authorised and unconnected to this site, confirming the suspect impersonated a real firm rather than being a branch of it.

The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
We looked hard for an innocent explanation. None survived.
- A branch or rebrand of the real, licensed Athlos Capital? No. CySEC's register shows the licensed firm's sites are athloscapital.com and usesophic.com, and CySEC separately warned that athloscapitalinvest.com is not authorised.
- A new firm awaiting a licence? No. CySEC did not say 'not yet listed'; it stated the site is not authorised, and the complaints describe money being taken and withheld.
- Just competitor noise? The complaints carry specific detail, a EUR 200 deposit, a named account manager, blocked withdrawals, and sit alongside a regulator warning and independent news coverage, so they are not manufactured outrage.
- Is 'no licence' innocent, as with a prop firm? No. This site solicited trading deposits with tiered live accounts, so a licence was required, and it had none.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Our view would change only if the core facts were wrong:
- CySEC removing athloscapitalinvest.com from its unauthorised list and confirming the site was licensed.
- Evidence that the site was an authorised arm of Athlos Capital Investment Services Ltd, with that firm confirming the connection.
- A consistent record of clients withdrawing their funds without extra 'fees', replacing the current pattern of refusals.
None of these exists at the time of writing.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Athlos Capital Investment (athloscapitalinvest.com) a scam?
Yes. CySEC publicly warned on 19 May 2025 that this website is not authorised, and users report deposits taken and withdrawals refused. Treat it as unsafe. Note that the separate, genuine firm at athloscapital.com is not the subject of this warning.
Is athloscapitalinvest.com regulated by CySEC or anyone else?
No. CySEC listed the site as unauthorised. The licence 348/17 that shares this name belongs to a different company, Athlos Capital Investment Services Ltd, whose approved website is athloscapital.com.
Is Athlos Capital Investment a fraud?
CySEC warned that the website is not authorised to provide investment services, and users report money taken and then withheld. We do not have a court ruling, so we describe what the evidence shows rather than name a crime: we assess the risk of fraud as high. Do not deposit.
Can I withdraw my money from athloscapitalinvest.com?
Users report they could not. The common account is a deposit that is accepted, then a demand for a further payment to 'release' the funds, then a blocked account. Paying more does not free the money; it feeds the scam.
They are asking me to pay a tax or fee to unlock my withdrawal. Is that real?
No. A demand to pay money before a withdrawal is released is a classic advance-fee scam. A real broker deducts costs from your balance; it never asks for a new payment to give you your own funds. Do not pay it.
Is my money safe with this site?
No. There is no licence, no investor-compensation cover and no disclosed company standing behind it. Money sent to an unauthorised operation like this is usually lost.
Who owns Athlos Capital Investment?
The site disclosed no owner or operating company. Its legal pages were generic templates with an unfilled placeholder, and no real address or director was named.
Is this the same company as Athlos Capital at athloscapital.com?
No. Athlos Capital Investment Services Ltd (athloscapital.com) is a genuine CySEC-licensed firm, licence 348/17. The site athloscapitalinvest.com copied the name but is a separate, unauthorised operation that CySEC warned against.
What is CySEC licence 348/17, and does this site hold it?
It is a real Cyprus investment-firm licence, but it belongs to Athlos Capital Investment Services Ltd, not to athloscapitalinvest.com. A shared name is not a shared licence. This site holds no licence.
The website is offline now. Does that mean it is safe?
No. The domain has lapsed and the site is gone, but operators of these schemes often reopen under new names. The risk moves to a new site rather than disappearing.
Someone contacted me offering to recover my funds. Should I trust them?
Be very cautious. Recovery firms that ask for an upfront fee target people who were already scammed and are usually a second scam. Report to your regulator and bank instead, and do not pay a recovery fee.
What should I check before depositing with any broker?
Search the regulator's own register for the exact company and website, not just the brand name. Confirm the domain you are on is the one the licence lists. If a regulator warning names the site, walk away.

What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Treat this site as unsafe.
- Do not deposit money, and do not send any 'fee', 'tax' or 'insurance' payment to release funds. That demand is itself the scam.
- If you already deposited, stop paying, gather your records (emails, chat logs, transfer receipts, the account manager's name) and contact your bank or card provider about a chargeback.
- Report it to CySEC and to your local financial regulator or police.
- Be wary of 'recovery' firms that promise to get your money back for an upfront fee. They target earlier victims and are usually a second scam.
- Check any broker on the regulator's own register before depositing. The genuine licensed firm here is at athloscapital.com, not athloscapitalinvest.com.
This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears.
