Is Caveo FX a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Updated August 14, 2026
No scam pattern found; offshore-licensed broker with a short, overstated track record

We found no evidence that Caveo FX is a scam. Its Seychelles licence is real and we matched it to this exact website on the regulator's own register. We still rate it 51 out of 100 for risk, because the protection behind that licence is thin and the business itself is young.

  • The Seychelles Financial Services Authority lists CAVEO FX LIMITED on its Securities Dealer register, and the register records the website caveofx.com and the same Mahe address the site publishes. Name, website and address all match.
  • That is the firm's only licence. Seychelles is a low tier offshore regulator. There is no compensation scheme and no realistic route to recover money from abroad.
  • The site advertises 15+ years of experience and 10,000+ clients. We could not evidence either. The Caveo FX brand first appeared on this domain in 2024 and the licence reached the register around the end of May 2025.
  • We found no complaints at all, on any platform, about money not being returned. We also found almost no independent reviews: four on Trustpilot, all five stars, all from first time reviewers inside a three week window.
  • Deposits run through cards, bank wire, e-wallets and crypto, not crypto only, and the platform is MetaTrader 5. Both are ordinary for a real brokerage.

Regulation

6/10 · High

A genuine licence we confirmed on the issuer's own register, but Seychelles is a low tier offshore regulator with no compensation scheme and it is the firm's only authorisation.

Identity & transparency

4/10 · Moderate

Entity, company number, licence and address are published and match the register exactly; against that, no management is named and the public phone is a British mobile rather than the registered Seychelles line.

Withdrawals & conduct

3/10 · Low

No complaint of any kind about refused or delayed withdrawals, blocked accounts or advance fees, but the client base is small enough that silence proves little.

Reputation

6/10 · High

Four Trustpilot reviews, all five stars, all from first time reviewers inside three weeks, plus two positive directory comments; no independent coverage at all.

Website claims

6/10 · High

Accurate and unembellished about the licence, but 15+ years of experience, 10,000+ clients and 50+ countries served are advertised without support.

Operational history

6/10 · High

The brand first appeared on the domain in 2024 and the licence reached the register in mid 2025, so about two years of evidenced operation behind a domain registered in 2013.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: Caveo FX
  • Legal entity: Caveo FX Limited
  • Registered: Seychelles, company number 810628-1, IMAD Complex, Office 9, 3rd Floor, Ile Du Port, Mahe
  • Website: caveofx.com, with the client area at my.caveofx.com and a blog at blog.caveofx.com
  • Only licence: Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer licence SD213, held by Caveo FX Limited, confirmed on the regulator's public list
  • Offers: Forex, metals, energies, indices, stocks and crypto CFDs on MetaTrader 5, from a 50 dollar minimum, leverage advertised up to 1:400
  • Not accepted: residents of the United States and other restricted jurisdictions, per the site's own disclaimer
  • Age claim: 15+ years of market experience. The domain dates from 2013 but carried no Caveo FX content until 2024, and the licence is from 2025

Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles

VerifiedTier 3Limited relevance
The financial regulator of Seychelles. A Securities Dealer licence allows the holder to deal in securities and derivatives from Seychelles. It is a real licence, but the regime is light touch and it is not equivalent to authorisation by a major onshore regulator.
Protection: Low. There is no investor compensation scheme in Seychelles, and a client based elsewhere has no practical enforcement route if funds are not returned.Official register

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We landed on high risk rather than scam, and on high risk rather than clean, for four reasons.

  • The regulation is real, and we checked it ourselves. The Seychelles FSA lists CAVEO FX LIMITED among its Securities Dealers, and the entry carries the website caveofx.com, the email [email protected], a Seychelles landline and the exact IMAD Complex address printed on the site. Every leg of the impersonation test passes. This is not a clone and it is not wearing another firm's number.
  • But that licence is close to the weakest kind a real broker can hold. Seychelles runs a light touch regime. There is no compensation scheme. If Caveo FX stopped paying, a client in Europe or the Gulf would have no practical remedy. The licence proves the company exists and is supervised on paper. It does not protect the money.
  • The track record is short, and the site makes it sound long. The domain was registered in 2013, but the archive tells a different story: in late 2021 it served a blank default server page, and as late as August 2024 it was still a holding page reading UNDER CONSTRUCTION. The company only reached the FSA register between 20 May and 1 June 2025, because an archived copy of the register from 20 May does not list it and the next copy does. So the domain is old, the business is roughly two years old, and the advertised 15 years is not this operation's own history. We score the history we could evidence, not the history advertised. Note also that we could not date the incorporation of Caveo FX Limited, because the Seychelles company registry is not open to public search, so the age figure rests on the domain alone and should be read as an upper bound.
  • There is almost nothing independent to go on. Trustpilot holds four reviews, every one five stars, every one from an account with a single lifetime review, posted between 20 April and 7 May 2026 on a profile the company claimed in April 2026. A third party broker directory adds two more positive comments. That is a marketing footprint, not a track record. On the other side, we found no complaint of any kind about withdrawals, blocked accounts or demands for extra payments, and no regulator anywhere has published a warning naming this brand or this domain. A clean sheet on a firm this young and this quiet means less than it would on an established one.

Two smaller things we noted. The public support number is a British mobile, while the number on the regulator's record is a Seychelles landline, which is an odd mismatch for a firm that presents itself as Seychelles based. And a separate Kuwaiti brokerage trades under the Caveo name at a different domain and a different legal entity. It looks like the source of the 15 years claim, but caveofx.com never names it, so we have treated it as a different operation and have not carried anything, good or bad, across from it.

  • E1The Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer register lists CAVEO FX LIMITED and records the website https://caveofx.com, the address IMAD Complex, Office 9, 3rd Floor, Ile Du Port, Mahe, the phone +248 4243178 and the email [email protected]. Name, website and address all match the operation we investigated, so the licence belongs to this firm and not to someone else.

  • E4An archived capture of caveofx.com from 30 August 2024 shows only a holding page reading UNDER CONSTRUCTION, naming CAVEO FX Limited as the domain owner. An earlier capture from November 2021 shows a blank default web server page. The trading business did not exist on this domain before 2024, despite the domain dating from 2013.

    ModerateInternet Archive capture of caveofx.com
  • E5An archived copy of the Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer list from 22 June 2025 includes CAVEO FX LIMITED, while copies from 22 January and 22 April 2025 do not. The licence reached the public register between late May and early June 2025.

ModerateInternet Archive capture of the Seychelles FSA register
  • E6The about page advertises 15+ Years Experience, 10K+ Global Clients, 300+ Trading Instruments and 50+ Countries Served, and describes the firm as building on up to 15 years of market experience. None of these figures is supported by anything we could verify, and the licensed entity is about a year old on the register.

  • E7Trustpilot holds four reviews for caveofx.com, all five stars, all from accounts with a single lifetime review, posted between 20 April and 7 May 2026 on a profile the company claimed in April 2026. This is a thin and possibly solicited review base, not an independent track record.

  • E8Deposits and withdrawals run through Visa and Mastercard, bank wire, e-wallets including Sticpay and cryptocurrency, with stated withdrawal processing inside 24 hours. • E9Certificate transparency records for the domain show trade, live1 and live2 subdomains alongside the client area and blog, which is consistent with a real MetaTrader 5 server deployment rather than a website with no trading system behind it.

    WeakCertificate transparency logs for caveofx.com
  • E10The published support number on the contact page is a British mobile, +44 7447 190930, while the number the regulator holds for the company is a Seychelles landline. For a firm that presents itself as Seychelles based, that is an inconsistency worth noting, though it is not evidence of wrongdoing.

  • E11A separate Kuwaiti brokerage trades under the Caveo name from a different website and a different legal entity, Caveo Trading Service, registered with Kuwait's Ministry of Trade and Industry under commercial register 336413. It is the likely origin of the 15 years claim, but neither company publishes a link to the other, so we have treated it as a different operation and have carried nothing across from it in either direction.

  • E12We swept the international warning and alert lists and searched for both the brand and the domain. As at 14 August 2026 no regulator has published a warning naming Caveo FX, Caveo FX Limited or caveofx.com. Warning lists lag new operations, so this records the position today rather than clearance.

ModerateWarning and alert list sweep, 14 August 2026
  • E13Across the review platforms and forums we swept we found no complaint about a refused or delayed withdrawal, a blocked account, a deleted balance or a demand for an extra payment before funds are released. We also found no substantive independent coverage of the firm at all.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

Here is the honest case for Caveo FX.

  • It passed the check that catches most fake brokers. We searched the Seychelles regulator's own register and found the exact company, pointing at the exact website, at the exact address. Most operations we investigate fail that test.
  • Its disclosure is consistent. The entity name, company number, licence number and registered address are the same on the homepage, in the legal documents and on the register. Nothing contradicts anything.
  • Nobody is complaining. Across every platform we swept we found no report of a refused withdrawal, a frozen account, a deleted balance or a fee demanded before funds are released. That last one is the classic scam mechanic and it is completely absent here.
  • The plumbing looks like a working brokerage, not a shell. Visa and Mastercard rails require an acquiring bank to have done its own checks, and the site is not crypto only. It runs MetaTrader 5, and its certificate records show live trading subdomains consistent with a real server deployment. The blog carries dated market commentary under named authors, current to this month.
  • The site refuses bonuses, states its offshore licence plainly rather than dressing it up as a tier one one, and excludes United States residents. Those are the choices of an operator trying to stay inside its permissions.
  • The 15 years claim may be a clumsy reference to a genuine affiliate rather than an invention. A Kuwaiti firm trading as Caveo has been registered with Kuwait's Ministry of Trade and Industry since around 2010 and has been covered by trade press. If Caveo FX is that group's offshore arm, the experience claim is loose marketing rather than a lie. We simply could not confirm the connection from either company's own disclosures.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

These are the specific things that would move our rating in either direction.

  • Lower risk: a year or two of independent, specific reviews from real traders describing completed withdrawals, spread across more than one platform.
  • Lower risk: the company publishing, and us verifying, the corporate link to the Kuwaiti Caveo business, which would turn an unevidenced experience claim into a real one.
  • Lower risk: a licence from a tier one or tier two regulator, or client funds held with a named segregated custodian we can confirm.
  • Lower risk: the site replacing the 15+ years and 10,000+ clients figures with what it can actually evidence.
  • Higher risk: any regulator warning naming caveofx.com or Caveo FX Limited.
  • Higher risk: two or more independent, detailed reports of withdrawals refused or delayed, especially any demand for a tax, fee or deposit before funds are released. One credible report of that kind would change this report substantially.
  • Higher risk: the Seychelles FSA removing Caveo FX Limited from its Securities Dealer list, or the site continuing to advertise SD213 after any such removal.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

13 questions
Is Caveo FX a scam?

We found no evidence that it is. Its Seychelles licence is genuine and we matched it to this exact website on the regulator's own register, and we found no complaints about money not being returned. We still rate it 51 out of 100 for risk because the operation is young and the licence offers very little protection.

Is Caveo FX regulated?

Yes, by one authority only. Caveo FX Limited holds Securities Dealer licence SD213 from the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles. We confirmed the entry on the FSA's public Securities Dealer list, which records the website caveofx.com and the company's Mahe address.

How good is a Seychelles FSA licence?

It is a low tier offshore licence. It confirms the company is registered and supervised on paper, but the regime is light touch, there is no investor compensation scheme, and pursuing a complaint from another country is impractical. It is not comparable to a licence from the FCA, ASIC or CySEC.

Can I withdraw my money from Caveo FX?

We found no report of anyone being unable to. We also found very few reviews of any kind, so there is not much evidence either way. The safest approach is to deposit a small amount first and test a withdrawal before committing more.

Is my money safe with Caveo FX?

There is no compensation scheme behind a Seychelles licence, so your deposit is not protected by any fund. The company states it segregates client money with tier one banking partners, but we could not independently verify that. Treat any deposit as capital you could lose in full.

Who owns Caveo FX?

The operating company is Caveo FX Limited, registered in Seychelles under company number 810628-1. The site names no directors or beneficial owners, and the Seychelles company registry is not open to public search, so we could not establish who is behind it.

How old is Caveo FX?

The business is roughly two years old. The domain was registered in 2013, but archived captures show it serving a blank default page in 2021 and still an under construction holding page in August 2024. The licence reached the FSA register around the end of May 2025.

The site says 15 years of experience. Is that true?

Not for this company. We could not evidence 15 years of trading by Caveo FX Limited. A separate Kuwaiti brokerage has used the Caveo name since around 2010, and that is likely where the figure comes from, but caveofx.com never names it, so the claim is unsupported as written.

Is Caveo FX a clone of another broker?

No. We ran the full impersonation check. The licence number, the company name, the website and the registered address all match one another on the regulator's record, and the licence is recorded as held exclusively by this firm. It is not using another company's credentials.

Has any regulator warned about Caveo FX?

Not as of 14 August 2026. We swept the international warning lists and searched for both the brand and the domain and found no entry. Warning lists lag new operations by months, so this is not a clean bill of health, only the position today.

What platform and payment methods does Caveo FX use?

MetaTrader 5, with accounts from a 50 dollar minimum. Deposits go through Visa and Mastercard, bank wire, e-wallets including Sticpay, and cryptocurrency. It is not a crypto only operation, which is a mildly reassuring sign.

What should I check before depositing with Caveo FX?

Confirm CAVEO FX LIMITED on the Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer list yourself, read the client agreement for the withdrawal terms, deposit a small amount by card rather than crypto, and test a withdrawal before you scale up. Never pay a fee to release your own funds.

What do I do if I think I have been scammed by a broker?

Stop depositing immediately and do not pay any recovery or unlock fee, since those are almost always a second scam. Gather your receipts, ticket numbers and chat logs, ask your card issuer or bank about a chargeback, and report the firm to your national financial regulator and to the licensing authority named on its site.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

If you are considering Caveo FX, treat it as an unproven offshore broker.

  • Check the licence yourself before you deposit. Open the Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer list and look for CAVEO FX LIMITED. Do not rely on the badge on the broker's own site.
  • Understand what the licence does not do. There is no compensation scheme in Seychelles. If the money is not returned, there is no fund to make you whole.
  • Deposit only what you can afford to lose entirely, and prefer a card over crypto or bank wire. A card payment can sometimes be disputed with your bank. A crypto transfer cannot.
  • Test a withdrawal early. Put in a small amount, trade briefly, then take it out. Do it before you commit a meaningful sum.
  • Never pay a tax, fee, insurance or verification charge to release your own funds. No legitimate broker asks for that.
  • Keep records: deposit receipts, ticket numbers, chat logs and the name of anyone who contacts you.
  • If you are in a country with its own regulator, remember that this licence gives you nothing there. Check whether a locally supervised broker suits you better.
