Broker Summary

What Wikilix has recorded about CentFX: its history, the licences it holds, its trading conditions and its fees.

CentFX Broker Overview

CentFX is the trading brand of CentFX Limited, a company registered in Anguilla under registration number A000000971, with a registered office at No. 9 Cassius Webster Building, Grace Complex, The Valley. The profile records the company as established in November 2019. CentFX offers forex and CFD trading on MetaTrader 5, supported by its own client portal and account app, and publishes its website in nine languages. Accounts open from a 500 USD minimum deposit, leverage reaches 1:1000 on the entry tier. Two group companies hold licences confirmed on the issuing authorities' registers, an Australian licence for wholesale clients only and a Mauritius licence, but neither belongs to CentFX Limited, the company that takes client deposits.

CentFX Regulation and License

CentFX's licences are held by other companies in its group, not by the company clients pay. Australian Financial Services Licence 516246 is confirmed on the ASIC register in the name of CENTFX GLOBAL PTY LTD, and its conditions limit it to wholesale clients, so it does not cover retail trading. Mauritius FSC licence GB23201644, an Investment Dealer licence, is confirmed on the FSC register in the name of Cent Markets Limited, and the register links it to no website. CentFX Limited in Anguilla, which runs the client accounts and takes deposits, holds no financial licence. CentFX's standing is recorded as offshore.

The Anguilla number A000000971 is a company registration with the Anguilla Registry of Commercial Activities. It establishes that the company exists and nothing more: it is not financial regulation, and it carries no supervision of client money or trading conduct.

Is CentFX Regulated?

The company a CentFX client deals with holds no financial licence. The two confirmed licences belong to other group companies, and the Australian one covers wholesale clients only, while the Anguilla entry behind the brand is a corporate registration rather than a trading licence. A client dealing with CentFX should not assume the segregation rules, investor compensation or complaints escalation that an onshore licence would bring with it.

CentFX Limited

CentFX Limited in Anguilla is the entity the website's own footer names, and it is not the only company on the record. CENTFX GLOBAL PTY LTD is recorded in Australia under company number ACN 631 408 609, Cent Markets Ltd in Mauritius, and CENT FX FINANCING BROKER L.L.C in the United Arab Emirates under number 1248955. None of these registrations has been checked against the corresponding corporate registry, so the group structure is as stated by the broker, not independently established.

Is CentFX Safe?

The company that holds CentFX clients' money carries no financial licence, and that is the single most important factor in weighing it. Its operating company sits in Anguilla, a jurisdiction whose company registry records corporate existence without supervising how a broker treats client funds. Against that, the broker publishes a detailed per method payment schedule, a named compliance contact, and a full set of legal documents, and it runs its own client portal and mobile apps rather than an unbranded white label. How client withdrawals are handled in practice has not been assessed, and none of this is a verdict on the broker.

CentFX Account Types

CentFX publishes five live account tiers. Standard and CFT both open at 500 USD, Standard carrying leverage to 1:1000 with no commission, CFT capped at 1:100 with commission charged. ECN opens at 3,000 USD with leverage to 1:500 and commission charged. Arbitrage opens at 10,000 USD at 1:100, and Swap Free opens at 10,000 USD at 1:500 with no commission. The effect is that the cheapest entry point also carries the highest leverage, while the tiers aimed at more experienced traders require far larger balances.

One trading policy applies across all of them. The site prohibits high frequency trading, latency arbitrage, arbitrage, Expert Advisors and scalping held for less than 180 seconds, and allows one account per verified client. Traders who rely on automation should note that the prohibition on Expert Advisors sits alongside an account tier named Arbitrage.

CentFX Spreads, Commissions and Fees

Spreads are variable. The Standard tier is commission free with spreads from 2.0 pips, and the ECN tier, which charges commission, has spreads from 0.0 pips; the 0.0 on the homepage banner is the ECN figure. Commission applies on the CFT, ECN and Arbitrage tiers, but no per lot rate is published for any of them. Deposits are free on every channel except Sticpay, which charges 1%. Withdrawals are charged on every channel.

CentFX Leverage

Maximum leverage is 1:1000 on the Standard tier. ECN and Swap Free cap at 1:500, and CFT and Arbitrage at 1:100. These levels sit far above the caps onshore regulators apply to retail clients, and they magnify losses as readily as gains.

CentFX Trading Platforms

CentFX distributes MetaTrader 5 and no other trading platform: a Windows terminal, the MT5 MultiTerminal, mobile builds for Android and iOS, and a macOS build linked from the site. There is no MetaTrader 4 offering. Alongside MT5 the broker publishes its own CentFX app for Android and iOS, which handles account management, deposits, withdrawals and transaction history rather than being a second trading platform. Account administration runs through the broker's client portal at member.centfx.com.

CentFX Deposits and Withdrawals

Funding is built on local payment rails rather than international ones. Bank transfers cover Malaysian, Indonesian and Thai banks, cards cover Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay, and the wallet and QR list runs to Touch n Go, DuitNow, ShopeePay, Link Aja, QRIS, PromptPay, VietQR, PerfectMoney, Sticpay and Samsung Pay, with UZcard and Humocard for Uzbekistan. Supported currencies include USD, MYR, IDR, THB, VND and UZS.

Deposits are instant or arrive within 15 minutes, and are free apart from Sticpay at 1%. Withdrawals carry a charge on every method: 1.5% on PerfectMoney, 2.5% on bank transfers and most wallets, 4% on cards and Samsung Pay, 5% on the Uzbek domestic cards, and up to 5% on Sticpay. Bank transfers and most wallets are quoted at up to three days, cards at up to one day, and the Uzbek cards at one to two hours. Several of those charges exceed the up to 2.5% figure the broker's own funding summary quotes, so confirm the withdrawal cost for your method before depositing.

CentFX Support

Live chat is offered around the clock and the broker states a 24 hour response target. Email runs through support@centfx.com for general enquiries and compliance@centfx.com for complaints, with a listed telephone number of +971 4 878 6270. Support is offered in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Malaysian, while the website itself is published in nine languages, adding Arabic, Bengali, Persian, Hindi, Nepali, Russian, Sinhalese and Uzbek to English.

CentFX Pros and Cons

The main strengths:

  • A genuinely local funding list across Southeast Asia and Central Asia, with instant or near instant deposits that are free on almost every channel.
  • Five distinct account tiers including a swap free option, with a 500 USD entry point.
  • MetaTrader 5 across Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, plus the broker's own account app and client portal.
  • Round the clock live chat, five support languages and a named compliance address.

The limitations that matter:

  • No licence held by the company that takes deposits: the confirmed ASIC and FSC licences belong to other group companies, and the ASIC one covers wholesale clients only.
  • A withdrawal charge on every funding method, several of them above the broker's own summary figure.
  • Leverage to 1:1000 without onshore supervision.
  • No published per lot commission rate on the CFT, ECN and Arbitrage tiers.
  • A trading policy that bars Expert Advisors, arbitrage and scalping under 180 seconds.

CentFX Review and Assessment

CentFX presents as an offshore brand built for retail clients in Southeast Asia and Central Asia, and its payment rails, language coverage and MetaTrader 5 distribution all fit that. The proposition is accessible: 500 USD opens an account, deposits are quick and mostly free, and support is staffed around the clock. The counterweight is that the company clients deal with holds no licence of its own, so a client is relying on that company rather than on a supervisor behind it. Two things are worth settling before funding an account: what a withdrawal will actually cost on the method you intend to use, and whether your own country is served, since the published restricted regions statement names nine countries while the registration form still accepts applicants from several of them.

What our check found

A genuine Australian Financial Services Licence held by CENTFX GLOBAL PTY LTD. The conditions authorise general financial product advice only, plus dealing in and issuing derivatives and securities, and close with the words 'to wholesale clients'. It does not authorise a retail trading business, and this is not the entity that receives client deposits. Client protection: None for a retail client of centfx.com. The licence covers wholesale clients only and belongs to a different company from the one that holds the money. Effective: 26 Mar 2020.

Client protection under this licence

  • No compensation schemeNo mandatory insurance (but strict fund segregation)
  • Negative balance protection
  • Complaints routeAFCA
  • Maximum leverage1:28

These are the rules ASIC sets for the firms it licenses. They are not a statement about how CentFX applies them, or about which of its companies would hold your account.

A licence record describes what an authority published. It is not an endorsement, and Wikilix does not issue authorisations.

How we know — 11 sources
  1. 1Refused countries: the broker publishes a restricted-regions statement site-wide, reading "Restricted Regions: CentFX Limited does not provide services for citizens/residents of USA, UAE, India, China, Cuba, Iraq, Myanmar, North Korea, Sudan." (https://centfx.com/, repeated in the footer of every page). Four of the nine named are also missing from the live registration country selector, so the two sources agree and these four are confirmed refusals: the United States, China, Cuba and North Korea.
  2. 2The United States is stated three times over: the restricted-regions line above, a separate site-wide sentence "In compliance with guidelines, we are not offering our services to clients or citizens residing in the United States", and a dedicated FAQ entry at https://centfx.com/faq-account asking "Do you accept US clients?" and answering "No, CentFx does not accept US clients."
  3. 3Conflict, recorded rather than resolved silently: five of the nine jurisdictions named in that restricted-regions statement - UAE, India, Iraq, Myanmar and Sudan - are nevertheless offered as selectable countries in the live registration form at https://member.centfx.com/register. The registration form is what actually governs who can open an account, so those five are recorded as accepted, but the broker's own published statement at https://centfx.com/ says the opposite and an applicant from one of them should expect the restriction to be applied at verification.
  4. 4Accepted jurisdictions: the registration form at https://member.centfx.com/register presents a closed list of 232 selectable countries, identical whether the Anguilla or the Mauritius entity is chosen. 230 of those entries match current countries and are listed as accepted.
  5. 5Two selector entries, "Netherlands Antilles" and "Serbia and Montenegro", are in neither list, because these countries were dissolved in 2010 and 2006. Their successor jurisdictions are missing from the selector for the same reason, as are Aland Islands, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and South Sudan - every one of which postdates the vintage of the country list the form uses. None of those absences is evidence of a block.
  6. 6Likely blocks: Belarus, Russia and Venezuela are absent from the registration selector even though the neighbouring entries of the same vintage are all present, and no page of the broker's site names them anywhere. The block is inferred from the selector alone rather than read in the broker's own text, so it is recorded as unconfirmed.
  7. 7No dependent territories are recorded. Although the United States and China are refused, the registration selector offers Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, the US Minor Outlying Islands, Hong Kong and Macao by name, so none of them falls under those refusals.
  8. 8The client agreement at https://centfx.com/src/legal/account-opening-agreement.pdf names no country anywhere: its Client Acceptance Policy (clause 4), Capacity (7), Assurances and Guarantees (8), Services (9) and Representations and Warranties (25) make acceptance wholly discretionary and put the burden on the client to be lawful in their own jurisdiction. The Terms of Business at https://centfx.com/src/legal/Terms-of-Business.pdf adds only that "the Company reserves the right to impose additional due diligence requirements to accept Clients residing in certain countries".
  9. 9The anti-money-laundering statement (https://centfx.com/src/legal/AML-Policy.pdf), the deposit and refund policy (https://centfx.com/src/legal/deposit-and-refund-policy.pdf) and the withdrawal policy (https://centfx.com/src/legal/withdrawal-policy.pdf) name no restricted jurisdiction. https://centfx.com/payment-methods states only that "Different deposit and withdrawal methods are available based on your country of residence", without listing which.
  10. 10The broker publishes no dedicated countries page. All six FAQ pages were read and only https://centfx.com/faq-account carries a country-specific answer, the US one noted above.
  11. 11Iran is recorded as accepted on the strength of the broker's own registration form at https://member.centfx.com/register, which offers Iran as a selectable country. Iran is named nowhere in the restricted-regions statement, and the broker publishes a full Persian-language variant of the site at https://fa.centfx.com/ whose footer carries the same nine-country restricted list, again without Iran; its funding, FAQ, legal and contact pages name neither Iran nor rial or toman funding rails, and its registration link points to the same form.
Recorded by WIKILIX research, not published by the broker, and not a guarantee. A country listed nowhere above is not thereby accepted — check CentFX's own terms before you open an account.

Common questions about CentFX

Most Popular Questions

CentFX Limited is recorded as established on 29 November 2019, which is the earliest documented date on the profile. That date comes from the company record behind the brand rather than from a founding statement on the website.

Yes. The site's trading policy prohibits high frequency trading, latency arbitrage, arbitrage, Expert Advisors and any scalping where the position is held for less than 180 seconds, and it allows one account per verified client. Traders who depend on automated strategies should note that the prohibition on Expert Advisors sits alongside an account tier the broker itself names Arbitrage.

Live chat is available around the clock, and the broker states a 24 hour response target. Email is support@centfx.com for general enquiries and compliance@centfx.com for complaints, and the listed telephone number is +971 4 878 6270. Support is offered in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Malaysian, and the broker keeps its own FAQ at https://centfx.com/faq-centfx.

CentFX publishes a restricted regions statement naming the United States, the United Arab Emirates, India, China, Cuba, Iraq, Myanmar, North Korea and Sudan. The United States block is stated three separate times across the site and is confirmed, as are China, Cuba and North Korea. Five of the nine, the United Arab Emirates, India, Iraq, Myanmar and Sudan, are nevertheless still selectable in the broker's own registration form, so an applicant from one of those should expect the restriction to be applied at verification. Belarus, Russia and Venezuela are absent from the registration form although the broker names them nowhere.

Yes. The Swap Free account requires a 10,000 USD minimum deposit, carries leverage to 1:500 and is advertised as commission free. It shares the highest minimum of the five tiers with the Arbitrage account, so the swap free option is not the cheapest way into the broker.

Yes, on every method. The published schedule is 1.5% on PerfectMoney, 2.5% on bank transfers and most wallets, 4% on cards and Samsung Pay, 5% on the Uzbek domestic cards, and up to 5% on Sticpay. Several of those figures exceed the up to 2.5% that the broker's own funding summary quotes, so confirm the charge for your method before depositing.

One to two hours on the Uzbek domestic cards, up to one day on cards and Samsung Pay, and up to three days on bank transfers and most wallets. Sticpay is quoted at within 15 minutes. These are the broker's own published processing times rather than measured outcomes.

Through local payment rails rather than international ones. Bank transfers cover Malaysian, Indonesian and Thai banks, cards cover Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay, and the wallet and QR options include Touch n Go, DuitNow, ShopeePay, Link Aja, QRIS, PromptPay, VietQR, PerfectMoney, Sticpay and Samsung Pay, with UZcard and Humocard for Uzbekistan. Deposits are instant or arrive within 15 minutes and carry no charge on any channel except Sticpay, which charges 1%. Supported currencies include USD, MYR, IDR, THB, VND and UZS.

MetaTrader 5 only. CentFX distributes a Windows terminal, the MT5 MultiTerminal, a macOS build and mobile builds for Android and iOS, and there is no MetaTrader 4 offering. The broker also publishes its own CentFX app for Android and iOS, which handles account management, deposits, withdrawals and transaction history rather than trading.

Spreads are variable. The Standard account is commission free with spreads from 2.0 pips, and the ECN account, which charges commission, has spreads from 0.0 pips, the figure the homepage banner advertises. Commission is charged on the CFT, ECN and Arbitrage accounts, but no per lot rate is published for any of them, and the Swap Free account is also advertised as commission free.

Up to 1:1000, available on the Standard account. The ECN and Swap Free accounts cap at 1:500, and the CFT and Arbitrage accounts at 1:100. Leverage at 1:1000 sits far above the limits onshore regulators set for retail clients, and it increases losses at the same rate as gains.

500 USD on the entry level Standard and CFT accounts. The ECN account requires 3,000 USD, and the Arbitrage and Swap Free accounts both require 10,000 USD. The published tier list has nothing below the 500 USD level.

There is no published WIKILIX finding that CentFX is a scam. What the record does establish is that CentFX Limited is a real company registered in Anguilla, that it runs its own client portal, mobile apps and payment rails, and that it holds no financial licence itself: the confirmed ASIC and Mauritius licences belong to other group companies, and the ASIC one covers wholesale clients only. Anyone funding an account is relying on the company itself rather than on a supervisor, and that is the central risk to weigh.

CentFX is operated by CentFX Limited, a company registered in Anguilla under number A000000971 with a registered office at No. 9 Cassius Webster Building, Grace Complex, The Valley. Three other companies appear on the record: CENTFX GLOBAL PTY LTD in Australia under ACN 631 408 609, Cent Markets Ltd in Mauritius, and CENT FX FINANCING BROKER L.L.C in the United Arab Emirates under number 1248955. None of these registrations has yet been checked against the relevant corporate registry.

Not the company you would deal with. CentFX Limited in Anguilla, which runs the client accounts and takes deposits, holds no financial licence. Two other group companies hold licences confirmed on the issuing authorities' registers: Australian Financial Services Licence 516246, held by CENTFX GLOBAL PTY LTD and limited by its conditions to wholesale clients, and Mauritius FSC Investment Dealer licence GB23201644, held by Cent Markets Limited. Neither licence covers a retail client of centfx.com. CentFX's regulatory standing is recorded as offshore.
