Notice1

The numbers in this contractFigures taken from this broker's own clauses, so the labels differ from broker to broker. The four in the panel above are the same on every report.

4 of these 4 figures come from a clause we rate critical, which means it can take your money or your profit rather than only delay it.

What the documents say

21 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from CentFX's own files

01

CentFX sells you an account named Arbitrage, with a $10,000 minimum deposit, for arbitrage strategies. Clause 7.1 of its Terms of Business says it does not permit arbitrage and can revoke those trades without notice.

Why this matters

You can fund the account CentFX built for arbitrage, trade exactly as the page describes, and lose the profit. Clause 27.1(e) lets CentFX close the account and confiscate profits from prohibited trading, returning only your deposit.

Exhibit 1CriticalRarely seen$10000

The Company does not permit the practice of arbitrage on the Trading Platform. Transactions that rely on price latency arbitrage opportunities may be revoked, without prior notice.
Clause 7.1 in Terms of Business, p.11
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

What it costsThe Arbitrage account asks for $10,000 before you place a trade. Clause 27.1(e) returns that $10,000 and keeps everything you made above it.

Our readingBrokers commonly ban arbitrage or tolerate it quietly. Selling a named account type for the one strategy the contract punishes puts a client in breach on the day they fund it.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 5The prohibited practices document also bans grid trading and hedging, so several ways of running the Arbitrage account are forbidden too.
02

The About page tells you your funds sit in segregated accounts with top tier banks, for maximum protection. The General Risk Disclosure says segregation may not afford complete protection, and the Risk Disclaimer calls you a general creditor.

Why this matters

If CentFX fails, your deposit joins the queue behind creditors who rank ahead of you. Clause 12.1 holds every client's money in one omnibus account, so your balance may not be separable from anyone else's.

Exhibit 2CriticalHarder than usual

The Company may be required to hold your money in an account that is segregated from other Clients and the Company’s money in accordance with current regulations, but this may not afford complete protection.
Clause 4.1 in General Risk Disclosure, p.6
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must hold retail client money in segregated client bank accounts and belong to a compensation scheme that pays out if the firm fails. These documents name no compensation scheme, and the risk disclosure says segregation may not give complete protection.

CentFX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 20No regulator is named for the company holding the money, so there is nobody to ask whether the segregation claim is true.
03

CentFX can delay, reject or cancel your withdrawal, shut you out of your account and withhold your funds if it sees activity it calls abusive. Its Withdrawal Policy says that decision is final and binding on you.

Why this matters

No clause puts a deadline on that review, and no appeal is written anywhere. Once a termination notice goes out, clause 36.7(d) lets CentFX refuse your withdrawal entirely.

Exhibit 3CriticalHarder than usual

Such actions may include, but are not limited to, delaying, rejecting, or cancelling withdrawal requests, disabling account access, and/or freezing or withholding funds.
Clause 4. Dispute in Withdrawal Policy, p.4
Downloaded from the broker's site on Open the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must return retail client money promptly on request, and must give the client a free route to an independent ombudsman when they refuse. This policy makes CentFX the only judge and calls its own decision final.

CentFX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 9The policy that would tell you how to challenge a frozen withdrawal is the one document CentFX does not publish.
04

CentFX lists fourteen prohibited trading practices and ends the list with Etc. One of them is trading in one direction without what CentFX judges to be proper market analysis.

Why this matters

Clause 27.1(e) lets CentFX confiscate profit made through prohibited trading, and take it from your other accounts if you already withdrew it. You cannot know in advance which trade counts.

Exhibit 5CriticalHarder than usual14

To maintain a fair, stable, and transparent trading environment, the following (but not limited to) trading strategies and behaviors are strictly forbidden:
Clause 2. Description in Prohibited Trading Practices, p.2
Downloaded from the broker's site on Open the reference
  • Worse together with Exhibit 3The same judgement that decides a trade was abusive also freezes the withdrawal, and both decisions are described as final and binding.
05

CentFX publishes its whole site in eight languages besides English, including Hindi, Bengali, Nepali and Sinhalese. Its own footer says it does not serve residents of India.

Why this matters

If you open an account from India after reading the Hindi pages, CentFX has already written down that you are not eligible. Clause 25.1(m) then makes you warrant that no restriction applies to you.

Our readingMarketing a brand in a language while excluding the country that speaks it is a mismatch the landing page never shows. The academy's Hindi and Russian pages serve the same English text, and all twelve contracts exist only in English.

06

The payment methods page promises a Zero Fees Policy with no hidden charges, and a withdrawal headline of up to 2.5%. The table lower down the same page charges 4% on cards and 5% on UZcard and Humocard.

In plain words

Remuneration means payments it receives.

Why this matters

Your withdrawal can cost double the figure the page advertises. The Deposit and Refund Policy gives a third answer: no transfer fees at all for CentFX's own methods.

Exhibit 4WarningHarder than usual5%

The Company does not charge for any transfer fees for using its deposit/withdrawal methods, but intermediary banks, E wallets or gateway companies may do so, which is beyond the Company’s control.
Clause 2. Deposit Procedure in Deposit and Refund Policy, p.2
Downloaded from the broker's site on Open the reference

What it costsA $1,000 withdrawal to a Visa card at the table's 4% costs $40. The headline figure of up to 2.5% would have cost $25.

Three business days to object, and no published way to complain

Clause 18.3 makes a CentFX trade confirmation conclusive unless you object within three business days. Three documents send disputes to a Complaint Handling Policy that CentFX does not publish. The Deposit and Refund Policy lets it interpret, apply or amend the rules while deciding your case.

Challenge window3 clauses flagged

You get three business days to tell CentFX in writing that a trade confirmation is wrong. After that, clause 18.3 treats the document as conclusive.

In plain words

A manifest error means an obvious mistake by the broker.

Why this matters

The clock starts when the document reaches you, not when you spot the error. Miss it and the broker's own record of your trade becomes the agreed version.

Exhibit 8CriticalHarder than usual3 working days

Such documents shall, in absence of manifest error, be conclusive unless the Client notifies the Company in writing to the contrary within three (3) Business Days of receiving such document.
Clause 18.3 in Account Opening Agreement, p.25
Read from the broker's site on Archived copyOpen the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must accept a retail complaint and give a final answer within eight weeks, and the client then has months to take it to an independent ombudsman. This agreement closes the window after three business days.

CentFX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Three documents send your dispute to a Complaint Handling Policy that CentFX says is on its website. Its legal page lists twelve documents and that is not one of them.

Why this matters

Your only route to challenge a frozen withdrawal runs through rules you cannot read. The Deposit and Refund Policy also lets CentFX amend those rules at its own discretion while it decides your case.

Exhibit 9CriticalRarely seen12

Any dispute arising with or in connection to any of the terms and conditions of the Withdrawal Policy shall be dealt by the Company as per the Company’s Complaint handling policy, which is available on the Company’s website.
Clause 4. Dispute in Withdrawal Policy, p.4
Downloaded from the broker's site on Open the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must publish a complaints procedure and tell retail clients how to reach an independent ombudsman free of charge. CentFX names a complaints policy in three documents and publishes none of it.

CentFX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingA broker naming its complaints policy in three contracts, and publishing eleven other policies instead, is unusual. The document that would tell you how to complain is the one that is missing.

Reporting a transaction as fraudulent can cost you a $150 research fee. An unsuccessful chargeback costs $300, and clause 32.4(d) lets CentFX seize any profits or revenues.

Why this matters

Your bank's dispute process becomes expensive to use, and the Deposit and Refund Policy asks you to give it up entirely. CentFX also informs credit bureaus, and says your rating can carry it for seven years.

Exhibit 11CriticalRarely seen$300

The Client acknowledges that the Company reserves the right to charge the Client a “150 USD research fee” in order to conclude the investigation.
Clause 32.1 in Account Opening Agreement, p.40

Our readingCharging a client to investigate their own fraud report, then charging again when the bank decides against them, turns a consumer protection into a bill.

The fee you pay is not the fee the page advertises

CentFX advertises withdrawals at up to 2.5% and charges 4% on cards and 5% on UZcard. Withdrawing money you never traded can cost 3% or more, with no ceiling written anywhere. Clause 6.7 of the Terms of Business says the spread built into your price will not be revealed to you.

Cost disclosure1 clause flagged

Deposit, change your mind, and withdraw without trading. CentFX can then charge 3% or more of the withdrawal, and its Withdrawal Policy sets no upper limit.

Why this matters

A $5,000 deposit you never traded costs at least $150 to get back. Card withdrawals are also capped at $2,000 per transaction, so a larger balance comes back in pieces.

Exhibit 10CriticalRarely seen3%

If a Client requests to withdraw funds after no trading activity, the Company reserves the right to charge the Client an equivalent amount of any banking or other payment gateway fees incurred or 3% or more of the total withdrawal amount.
Clause 3. Withdrawal Procedure in Withdrawal Policy, p.3
Downloaded from the broker's site on Open the reference

What it costsA $5,000 withdrawal at 3% costs $150. The clause allows more than 3%, and never says how much more.

Our readingBrokers often pass on the real payment cost when a client deposits and withdraws without trading. A floor of 3% with no ceiling lets the firm pick the number after the request arrives.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 7Not trading triggers both clauses: the percentage charge on the way out, and the dormancy fee if you leave the money where it is.

CentFX takes the deposit first and verifies at the exit

Clause 4.6 lets you deposit and trade before your identity check is finished. Clause 4.8 blocks any withdrawal until CentFX approves it. At withdrawal time you get seven days to produce fresh documents, and failing to send a card copy puts your funds in CentFX's sole custody.

Verification timing2 clauses flagged

CentFX lets you fund an account and trade while your identity check is still open. Clause 4.8 says you cannot withdraw anything until CentFX approves that check.

Why this matters

At withdrawal time CentFX can ask for fresh documents and give you seven days, then cancel the request. If you cannot produce a card copy, your funds go into its sole custody until proven otherwise.

Exhibit 12CriticalHarder than usual7 days

Partially Approved Clients, are not entitled to withdraw any amount until they provide their KYC documents and their account to be Approved by the Company.
Clause 4.8 in Account Opening Agreement, p.11
Read from the broker's site on Archived copyOpen the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must finish identity checks before a retail client can deposit or trade, not when the client asks for their money back. CentFX takes the deposit first.

CentFX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

CentFX lists your mobile device call log among the personal data it may collect. It asks for that permission to verify your phone number.

Why this matters

A call log shows who you speak to and when, which a phone number check does not need. CentFX keeps your records for six years after the relationship ends.

Exhibit 18WarningRarely seen

Information in relation to the client's mobile device Call log with the permission of the client.
Clause 2. Collection of Personal Data in Privacy Policy, p.5

Our readingReading a client's call log is a permission a messaging app asks for, not a broker. Nothing in confirming that a number belongs to you needs the list of calls made on it.

A dormant CentFX account is charged until nothing is left

Six months of no activity starts a $5 monthly charge on your balance, and the charge grows every year you stay away. Clause 16.3 takes the whole remaining balance once it no longer covers the fee. The Withdrawal Policy adds that CentFX may freeze an inactive account instead.

In plain words

Dormancy means an account left unused.

Dormancy1 clause flagged

Six months with no deposit, withdrawal or trade makes your account dormant. CentFX then takes $5 a month from the balance, rising every year, until the balance reaches zero.

Why this matters

A forgotten $100 balance is gone in under two years. Clause 16.5 lets CentFX charge for months it missed, and clause 16.3 takes the rest once the fee no longer fits.

Exhibit 7CriticalHarder than usual$5

6 months - 1 year: a monthly Dormant Fee of 5 USD (Five US Dollars) (or the equivalent amount of the base currency of the Account at the date of the charge) on the remaining balance of the Account until the balance is 0 (zero).
Clause 16.2(a) in Account Opening Agreement, p.23
Read from the broker's site on Archived copyOpen the reference

What it costsA $100 balance loses $5 a month for the first year, which is $60. The second year costs $10 a month, so the money runs out in month 16.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK)

Firms licensed by the FCA must set out a charge like this in the costs information a retail client receives before opening the account. Here the ladder sits at paragraph 86 of 179 in the account opening agreement.

CentFX is not licensed by this regulator, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

The Arabic and English pages sell a Sharia compliant Swap Free account with no commission, at a $10,000 minimum. Clause 10.1 lets CentFX add commission fees to Islamic accounts without prior notice.

Why this matters

CentFX is your counterparty, and its conflicts policy does not say so

Clause 6.5 of the Terms of Business lets CentFX hold positions against yours as a market maker. Clause 6.4 lets it keep them to make trading profits. The Conflicts of Interest policy instead describes a firm acting as agent, and says it forms no part of your contract.

In plain words

On a principal basis, as your counterparty, means the broker takes the other side of your trade itself. Your loss is then the firm’s gain, so it has an interest in how your trade ends.

Who is on the other side2 clauses flagged

The About page says CentFX gives you no requotes and no dealing desk interference. Clause 6.5 of the Terms of Business says CentFX may act as market maker and hold positions against yours.

Why this matters

When CentFX is on the other side of your trade, your loss can be its income. Clause 6.4 lets it keep a position with the intention of making trading profits from it.

CentFX's Conflicts of Interest policy says it forms no part of any contractual agreement with a client. The account opening agreement still treats your acceptance of it as a waiver of prior disclosure.

Licence picture1 clause flagged

Eight CentFX documents give an Anguilla company registration and name no regulator. The four newest claim a Mauritius investment dealer licence, and the website footer claims regulation by Australia's ASIC.

Who the contract is with

CENTFX LTD

You contract with CENTFX LTD, an International Business Company registered in Anguilla, and the agreement names no financial regulator for it. Clause 40.1 puts the relationship under Anguilla law. Four of the twelve documents instead claim a Mauritius investment dealer licence, and one calls the regulated firm Cent Markets Ltd. The Terms of Business cover carries a Dubai company, CENT FX FINANCING BROKER L.L.C. The website footer names CENTFX GLOBAL PTY LTD in Australia. None of those three is the company you contract with, and clause 1.2 says the group consists of CENTFX LTD alone.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

Clause 17.4 wipes a negative balance after a stop out, so a bad trade cannot leave you owing CentFX money. Few offshore brokers write that down. Clause 27.1(e) returns your original deposit even where it confiscates profit. The payment methods page publishes a fee and timing table for every method, with named banks and real percentages. All twelve legal documents download without a login.

Four of the twelve documents are published as pictures of text. They are the deposit and refund policy, the withdrawal policy, the conflicts of interest policy and the prohibited trading practices. Every quotation from them comes from the rendered pages. We report where a clause sits only for the five files that break into countable paragraphs. The contract keeps several fee tables inside the member area, behind a login. The Islamic carry charge table, the volume limits and the spreads schedule are therefore not covered. The review covers the English, Hindi and Arabic versions of the site, not the Persian, Bengali, Nepali, Sinhalese, Uzbek or Russian ones. The academy glossary never loaded its definitions. No earlier copy exists of the client agreement, the Terms of Business or the four picture documents, so we cannot say when their clauses appeared.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the CentFX file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

macOS or Linux:
  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document CentFX publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge CentFX on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Oct 5, 2026.

If you represent CentFX and a clause has changed, been withdrawn, or is being read out of context, tell us and we will re-read the documents and update this page. Corrections from the broker are welcome and are published with the reading they change. Contact us.

This is a reading of a contract, not legal advice and not a ruling on CentFX. Whether its licence is real and current is a separate check on the broker profile.
