Regulation
6/10 · HighA genuine Securities Dealer licence confirmed on the Seychelles regulator's own register with a full identity match, but low tier offshore cover only, no European authorisation despite selling into Europe, and a second Comoros licence whose certificate term ended in June 2025.
Identity & transparency
3/10 · LowEntity, registered address, phone and email all match the regulator's record exactly and the beneficial owner is named on a public licence document, with small deductions for two different Cyprus office addresses across pages and legal documents published as images rather than readable text.
Withdrawals & conduct
4/10 · ModerateOne credible report of an account frozen after profits with withdrawals refused, plus one vague report, both on a single platform, seven months apart and with no amounts or ticket numbers, so an isolated and unconfirmed signal rather than a pattern.
Reputation
5/10 · ModerateAlmost no independent footprint at all, with zero Trustpilot reviews against a claim of more than 3,000 active traders, and only a handful of scattered third party comments, one of which reports a successful payout.
Website claims
6/10 · HighAdvertises trading since 2015 and more than 10 years of service when the domain dates from 2017 and the site was still a back office software vendor in 2019, and describes weak offshore licensing as strict regulatory oversight, alongside unnamed awards.
Operational history
6/10 · HighContinuous operation of the brand and domain since 2017 with no gaps, but the retail brokerage itself dates only from around 2021 to 2022 and neither company could be dated because both registries are closed to public search.

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
We rate this broker high risk rather than a scam. Here is what moved the number in each direction.
- The licence is genuine, and that matters. We opened the Seychelles Financial Services Authority register ourselves and found Connect Financials Ltd on the Securities Dealer list. The register shows the same street address, the same telephone number, the same admin email and, most importantly, the same website as the broker uses. That is the test that catches clones, and this broker passes it cleanly. This is not a company wearing somebody else's credentials.
- But the protection is thin. A Seychelles Securities Dealer licence is a low tier offshore authorisation. There is no compensation scheme behind it and no realistic route to get your money back through the regulator if the firm fails to pay you.
- The second licence appears to have run out. The Mwali authority in the Comoros holds a record for Connect Financials LLC under number T2023300, issued on 14 June 2023. The same certificate gives a licence end date of 14 June 2025, which has passed, while the authority's list still displays the entry as active. The Comoros central bank has publicly disowned this class of licence in any case, so it adds very little.
- The history claim does not survive checking. The about page says the firm has been at the forefront of forex trading since 2015, with more than 10 years of service. The domain was registered on 1 June 2017. More telling, a dated snapshot of this same website from November 2019 shows it selling VertexFX cloud back office software to other brokerages, not running a retail trading business. The first archived retail trading site we found is from May 2022. Whatever the group has been doing since 2015, it has not been running this brokerage for 10 years.
- It sells into Europe on an offshore licence. The broker publishes a European office address and telephone number in Cyprus and markets in English and Arabic, and its restricted list names only the United States, Iran, Turkey and Canada. That means clients in the European Union and the United Kingdom are accepted, while the firm holds no European authorisation. Those clients get no local protection at all.
- The public record is close to empty. Trustpilot has never received a single review for this domain, which is hard to square with the claim of more than 3,000 active traders. We found two user reports on one broker listing site, one from December 2025 describing an account frozen for alleged unauthorised trading after profits were made and withdrawals then refused, and one from July 2026 saying the profits shown in the account were an illusion. Neither carries an amount, a date or a ticket number, they are seven months apart and they sit on a single platform, so this is an unconfirmed pattern rather than a proven one. We also found one positive account of a large cash withdrawal being paid.
- Nothing adverse from any regulator. We swept the UK, German, Italian, Spanish, French and international warning lists for this website and found no entry.
- One caution on the age figure. Neither the Seychelles nor the Comoros corporate registry is open to public search, so we could not date either company. The nine year figure rests on the domain registration alone and should be read as an upper bound, not a confirmed trading record.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1The Seychelles Financial Services Authority lists CONNECT FINANCIALS LTD on its Securities Dealer register, showing House of Francis Room 302, Ile Du Port, Mahe, telephone +248 4372263, [email protected] and the website www.connectfinancials.com. Every field matches the operation under investigation, so the clone test passes on name, address and domain.
E2The Mwali International Services Authority licence verification page for Connect Financials LLC shows company number HY00523008, licence number T2023300, issued 14 June 2023, with a licence end date of 14 June 2025 and the website www.connectfinancials.com. It names Makki Abbas of South Lebanon as chief executive and ultimate beneficial owner.
E3The Comoros authorised brokerage list carries Connect Financials LLC at entry 62 with licence T2023300 dated 14 June 2023 and a status of Active, linking to connectfinancials.com. The same list shows that licence number T2023278, which one review site attributed to Connect Financials, actually belongs to Zetradex Holding Ltd, so that attribution is a third party error and not a claim made by this broker.
E4The registry record for connectfinancials.com gives a registration date of 1 June 2017, an expiry of 1 June 2027 and GoDaddy as registrar, with Cloudflare name servers. This sets the domain leg of the track record at about nine years.
E5A dated snapshot of connectfinancials.com from 15 November 2019 shows the site trading as Connect Financials with the strapline Technology To Prosperity, selling VertexFX cloud back office software to brokerage firms, with a Lebanese telephone number. At that date the business was a software vendor to brokers, not a retail broker, which contradicts the advertised claim of more than 10 years of trading service.
E6A snapshot from 8 May 2022 shows the same domain operating as an Arabic language retail CFD broker offering currency pairs, cryptocurrency CFDs, commodities and indices. This places the start of the retail brokerage between late 2019 and May 2022, giving roughly four years of actual brokerage operation.
E7The broker's own about page states that it was founded in 2015, claims more than 10 years of service, more than 3,000 active traders and multiple unnamed awards, and gives a Cyprus office in Limassol. The homepage footer gives a different Cyprus address in Nicosia.
ModerateConnect Financials about pageE8The homepage footer states that Connect Financials Ltd is registered in Seychelles under licence SD244 and is authorised and regulated by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority. It lists a European office in Nicosia with a Cyprus telephone number and restricts only the United States, Iran, Turkey and Canada, which means European and British clients are accepted without any European authorisation. The legal documents are published as image based PDF files rather than readable text, and no verification link to the register is offered.
E9The Trustpilot page for connectfinancials.com exists but holds zero reviews and a zero rating, with no reviews in the last twelve months. The profile is unclaimed and still categorised as a software company, a leftover from the domain's earlier life. For a broker advertising more than 3,000 active traders this is a very thin public footprint.
E10A broker listing site holds two user reports on Connect Financials. One dated 3 December 2025 states that after making profits the account was frozen for alleged unauthorised trading, withdrawals were denied and support stopped responding. One dated 14 July 2026 states that the profits shown in the account were an illusion. Neither gives an amount, a ticket number or a transaction date, and both sit on the same platform.
E11The UK Financial Conduct Authority warning published on 1 October 2020 concerns a firm called Connect Finances at 3 Pearl Avenue, Salford, using the email domain connectfinances.co.uk. The name, website, address and country all differ from the broker under investigation, so this warning belongs to a separate operation and has not been counted against Connect Financials.
E12A live client login and registration portal runs at portal.connectfinancials.com, confirming that this is an operating deposit taking brokerage rather than a dormant site, a software vendor or a proprietary trading firm.

The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
The fair case for this broker, and it is a real one.
- It holds a licence that we personally confirmed on the issuing regulator's own register, not on a marketing page. Many brokers in this risk band cannot manage that.
- The register entry matches the operation on every field it publishes, including the website. There is no sign of impersonation, no borrowed licence number and no other company's identity in use.
- The named owner is disclosed on the public licence record rather than hidden behind a nominee, and the registered address is the one the regulator holds.
- No financial regulator anywhere has published a warning about this website.
- The brand and the domain have been continuously operated by what appears to be the same Lebanese group since at least 2017, with no gap in the archive record and no evidence of a rebrand to escape a bad history.
- There is a working client portal and a standard MetaTrader 5 offering with a modest 100 dollar minimum, which is normal retail brokerage practice rather than a high pressure funnel.
- The complaint volume is genuinely low, and at least one user reports being paid out. Two loosely worded reports on one website is not a withdrawal scandal, and we have not treated it as one.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Concrete things that would move this verdict up or down.
- Better: the broker publishing a direct verification link to its Seychelles register entry and a readable set of legal terms, instead of the image based PDF documents it currently offers.
- Better: the Comoros licence being shown as renewed past 14 June 2025, or the broker simply dropping the claim if it has lapsed.
- Better: correcting the founding claim so that it describes the group's actual history rather than implying 10 years of retail brokerage.
- Better: a real body of independent reviews over time showing withdrawals being paid.
- Worse: three or more detailed withdrawal complaints, with amounts and dates, appearing across two or more separate platforms within a few months.
- Much worse: any report of the firm demanding an extra payment, described as a tax, fee or insurance, before releasing a client's funds.
- Much worse: a warning naming connectfinancials.com from any national regulator, or the Seychelles register removing or suspending the entry.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Connect Financials a scam?
We found no evidence that it is a scam. It holds a real Seychelles licence that we confirmed on the regulator's own register, and no regulator has published a warning about its website. We still rate it high risk at 46 out of 100, because it is offshore only, its public track record is almost non existent, and it overstates how long it has been a broker.
Is Connect Financials regulated?
Yes, but only offshore. Connect Financials Ltd appears on the Seychelles Financial Services Authority Securities Dealer register, and the broker quotes licence SD244. A second licence, number T2023300, is on record in the Comoros for Connect Financials LLC, though that certificate shows a term that ended on 14 June 2025.
How good is a Seychelles licence?
It is a genuine licence but a weak one. Seychelles is a low tier offshore jurisdiction with no investor compensation scheme, so if the firm refuses to pay you the regulator is unlikely to recover your money. It is far below what the UK, Australian or Cypriot regulators require.
What is the Comoros MISA licence worth?
Very little. The Mwali International Services Authority is an offshore registrar on an autonomous island, not a functioning supervisor, and the Comoros central bank has publicly disowned licences of this kind. In this case the certificate also shows an end date of 14 June 2025, which has already passed.
Can I withdraw my money from Connect Financials?
We found one user report from December 2025 describing an account frozen for alleged unauthorised trading after profits, with withdrawals then refused, and one separate report describing an account paying out a large sum in cash. Two reports on a single website is not enough to establish a pattern either way. Withdraw a small amount early to test the process before you commit more.
Is my money safe with Connect Financials?
There is no compensation scheme covering client funds at a Seychelles licensed broker, so your deposit is only as safe as the company itself. There is no government backed protection if the firm fails or refuses to pay. Only deposit money you could afford to lose in full.
Who owns Connect Financials?
The Comoros licence record names Makki Abbas as both the chief executive and the ultimate beneficial owner, with an address in South Lebanon. That is unusually open compared with many offshore brokers, which hide ownership behind nominees.
How old is Connect Financials really?
The domain was registered on 1 June 2017, so the brand is around nine years old. The retail brokerage is much younger. In November 2019 this same website was selling back office software to other brokers, and the first archived version of the trading site we found is from May 2022.
Why does the website say it has been trading since 2015?
We could not evidence that claim. The domain dates from 2017 and the site was not a retail broker in 2019. We have counted the gap between the advertised history and the verifiable one against the broker in our scoring.
Is Connect Financials a clone of another company?
No. We ran the clone check and it passed. The Seychelles register lists the same company name, address, phone number, email and website that the broker itself uses, which means it is operating under its own credentials rather than borrowing another firm's.
Is there an FCA warning about Connect Financials?
No. The UK regulator published a warning in October 2020 about a firm called Connect Finances, at a Salford address and using connectfinances.co.uk. That is a different company with a different name, website and country, and we have not counted it against this broker.
Can clients in the UK or the European Union use it?
The broker's restricted list names only the United States, Iran, Turkey and Canada, so European and British clients are accepted. It holds no European or British authorisation, however, despite listing a European office in Cyprus. That means no ombudsman access and no compensation scheme for those clients.
Why are there no Trustpilot reviews?
The Trustpilot page for connectfinancials.com exists but has never received a review. For a firm advertising more than 3,000 active traders that is a striking gap, and it is one reason we could not verify how the broker treats its clients in practice.
What should I check before depositing?
Open the Seychelles register entry yourself and confirm the website listed there matches the site you are using. Read the terms before funding, test a small withdrawal early, and never send an extra payment described as a tax or release fee to unlock your own funds.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
If you are considering this broker, or already have money with it, here is our practical advice.
- Treat it as an offshore broker, because that is exactly what it is. Only risk money you could afford to lose entirely.
- Check the Seychelles register entry yourself before depositing. The link is in the sources below, and the entry should show the same website and address as the broker gives you.
- If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, understand that you are dealing with a Seychelles company. Your national regulator, ombudsman and compensation scheme give you nothing here, regardless of the Cyprus office address.
- Do not treat the Comoros licence as meaningful protection. It is a low tier registration and its certificate term has run out.
- Test withdrawals early and with small sums. Withdraw a modest amount soon after your first deposit and confirm it arrives before adding more.
- Keep your own records: deposit confirmations, ticket numbers, statements and all correspondence. If a dispute starts, that evidence is what you will need.
- Be sceptical of the claim that the firm has traded for more than 10 years. The evidence does not support it.
- If withdrawals are refused, or anyone asks you to pay a fee, tax or charge before releasing your funds, stop paying immediately and report it to your local financial regulator and your bank or card issuer.
