FSC is classed as an offshore regime. An offshore registration can be entirely legitimate, but it typically means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.

Most Popular Questions

WIKILIX's scam investigation, published on 21 October 2026, found no evidence that CPT Markets is a scam or a fraud, but rates it high risk (unverified). It notes that accounts opened at cptmarkets.com outside South Africa sit with CPT Markets Limited, an offshore Belize company, and that recent client complaints describe profits cancelled and funds frozen after the broker alleged abusive trading. It found no regulator warning naming cptmarkets.com; the FCA warnings about CPT websites concern clones of the UK firm.

Not for accounts opened at cptmarkets.com. On 21 October 2026 the FCA register listed CPT MARKETS UK LIMITED, firm reference number 606110, as authorised since 31 July 2014. That UK company trades as CPT Markets UK through its own website, cptmarkets.co.uk, and cptmarkets.com does not cite its authorisation. The FCA register also lists clones of the firm, including cpttrades.com, cpttltd.com, pamcptmarket.com and cptmarketsig.com.

CPT Markets' Classic and Prime accounts list forex, stocks, metals, indices, commodities and crypto as tradable products, while its ECN account lists forex, metals, energies, indices and futures. All three accounts trade from 0.01 lot.

Yes. CPT Markets runs copy trading through its Social Trading portal, where signal providers receive a set percentage of the profit on each profitable trade a follower copies. Providers need at least six months of continuous trading history, a maximum historical drawdown of 25% or less, a Sharpe ratio of at least 1.2 and at least 100 recorded trades. Followers can set stop-loss limits and stop copying at any time.

CPT Markets says it does not serve residents of the United States, North Korea, Singapore or any jurisdiction where its services would be unlawful. Its sign-up form also leaves out the United Kingdom, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Myanmar, Angola and Bhutan. Residents of FATF black- and grey-listed jurisdictions, including Russia, Iran and Myanmar, are barred from its cryptocurrency exchange services.

Complaints go to the client support team at cs@cptmarkets.com, according to the broker's Belize complaints notice dated January 2026. The notice promises an acknowledgement within 3 business days and a written response within 14 days, with escalation to the compliance department and then referral to the Belize Financial Services Commission. The South Africa terms direct clients of CPT Markets (PTY) Limited to a separate complaints procedure on cptmarkets.co.za.

CPT Markets says its customer service team is available 24/7, and clients can reach it by live chat or by email at support@cptmarkets.com. The chat opens with an AI assistant and has a tab for human agents, who serve clients in Traditional Chinese, English and Arabic. The contact page also lists a toll-free number, 400-842-8992, given without a country code.

CPT Markets' South Africa terms say approved withdrawal requests are generally processed within one business day after complete instructions are received. That is the time the company takes to process a request, not the time the money takes to arrive, which depends on the payment channel. The global site publishes no withdrawal times for individual payment methods.

CPT Markets' Classic and Prime accounts charge no commission and price trading through floating spreads, while its ECN account combines spreads from 0.0 pips with a volume-based commission whose rate the broker does not publish. A campaign page also refers to an existing 7% fee that still applies when a client deposits without any valid trading activity, without stating what the fee is charged on or when.

CPT Markets offers three live trading accounts: Classic, also called the Standard Account, with floating spreads and no commission; ECN, with spreads from 0.0 pips and a volume-based commission; and Prime, a gold-focused account with no commission and a minimum deposit from USD 500. It also offers MAM and copy trading accounts and a free demo account on MT4 and MT5. Its account pages do not mention a swap-free or Islamic account.

The only minimum deposit CPT Markets publishes is USD 500, for its Prime account, which its site presents as the Premium Gold Account. The Classic and ECN account pages give no figure: Classic is described as having a low entry threshold, and ECN as typically requiring a minimum initial deposit.

Accounts opened at cptmarkets.com outside South Africa are held by CPT Markets Limited, a Belize company. The GLEIF LEI register, with data validated at the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry, shows it under company number 155553, incorporated on 8 July 2015. CPT Markets is a brand used by several companies: the site also names CPT Markets (PTY) Limited, which serves South African clients through its own website, CPT Mena Financial Services LLC in the United Arab Emirates, and two Cyprus companies, CPT Operation Limited and CPTFintech Limited, without stating their role.

Yes. CPT Markets lists a 30% Welcome Bonus on a client's first deposit, up to USD 500 per client, running from 1 January to 31 December 2026; the bonus can be traded but not withdrawn and is removed after the first withdrawal. Clients in India can also receive a USD 5 credit bonus for a single USDT deposit of at least 50 USDT made between 1 October and 31 December 2026.

Yes. CPT Markets' South Africa terms let the company delay a withdrawal until satisfactory documentation has been provided, and they do not permit trading until KYC and anti-money-laundering checks are met. Until verification is complete, a client may be limited to a single deposit of up to USD 300, and the company may also decline withdrawals through certain payment methods or ask for another payment channel.

CPT Markets advertises leverage of up to 1:1000 on its Classic, ECN and Prime accounts. Its MAM account page gives no leverage figure and says sub-accounts can use their own leverage settings.

CPT Markets' global site names only one payment method in text, USDT, which appears in a credit bonus campaign for clients in India; it has no deposits and withdrawals page, and its home page shows payment logos without names. Its South Africa terms say the client pays any bank transfer, intermediary banking or currency conversion charges on a withdrawal.

CPT Markets offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, and its own platform: the CPT App for iOS and Android and CPT Desktop for Windows and macOS. Its platform pages offer no browser-based web terminal. Copy trading runs through a separate Social Trading portal at copytrading.cptmarkets.com.

Three companies using the CPT Markets name hold licences that were confirmed on the regulators' registers on 21 October 2026, each for a different activity: CPT Markets Limited, the company behind international accounts at cptmarkets.com, holds offshore licence 6616058 from the Belize Financial Services Commission (FSC); CPT Markets (PTY) Limited holds Category I authorisation 45954 from South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for advice and intermediary services; and CPT Mena Financial Services LLC holds a UAE Capital Market Authority (CMA) licence for introduction and promotion only, under reference CP-0001163. The licence number the site prints for the UAE company, 20200000245, returns no result on the CMA register. A separate UK company, CPT Markets UK Limited, holds FCA authorisation 606110, which does not cover accounts opened at cptmarkets.com.

Licence 6616058 was issued by Financial Services Commission (FSC), the financial authority for Belize.
CPT Markets holds this FSC licence. A licence on record means the authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement.

Wikilix rates FSC tier 3. Supervision is lighter-touch and client protections vary.
Yes, FSC is classed as an offshore regime. That can be a legitimate registration, but it usually means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.
