STB Provider LTD replaced its whole English legal set in September and left the Persian set on its August files. The contract then says that where a document is translated, the English version wins. The text you can read is not the text that binds you.
Why this matters
If you read Persian, you are agreeing to a document you have never seen. Any difference between the two versions is resolved against you.
Exhibit 1Every flagged clause gets its own number so you can point at this one. The number does not change, so a link to it keeps working.CriticalHow much this clause can cost you, in our reading. Critical can take your money or your profit. Warning can delay or limit it. Notice is simply worth knowing before you sign.Rarely seenHow ordinary this wording looks next to the contracts we read. This is our reading of the clause, not a count of other brokers.1The figure this clause puts a number on, taken from the broker's own words.NewThis wording was not in the version we read last time. It was added or changed since then.

Where it sits: section 25 of 46 in the Client Agreement, Persian version, 54% of the way through. We counted the numbered sections in the Client Agreement, Persian version. This clause sits in section 25 of 46, about 54% of the way through. A fee written on the first page and the same fee written near the end are not the same disclosure.
Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must give a retail client the contract terms in good time, in a language the client understands and in a form they can keep. STB gives Persian readers an older revision and reserves the final say for a newer English one.
Epic Pips is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.
Our readingOur own comment on the clause, not the broker's words. Anything we quote is marked as a quotation. An English prevails clause is ordinary. Running the two language shelves on different revisions at once is not: the prevailing text and the readable text are known to differ, and only the broker knows how.
- Worse together with Exhibit 2Read these two clauses together. Each one costs more because the other exists. The version that wins is also the one published as unreadable images, so no client can check what changed.
