Independent safety report

Is Expert-B a scam?

Confirmed scamHIGH confidence
Unlicensed withdrawal-trap and advance-fee scam

Expert-B (ExpertB LTD, also known as B-Investor) is not a legitimate broker and shows the clear hallmarks of a scam. It operates without authorisation, the UK Financial Conduct Authority has published a public warning against it, and dozens of clients describe the same mechanism: money taken, fake profits shown on an in-house dashboard, then withdrawals blocked unless they pay even more.

  • FCA warning: the regulator warns that B-Investor / ExpertB LTD / Expert-B is not authorised, may be targeting people in the UK, and should be avoided.
  • Only licence is offshore and expired: a single Mwali (Comoros) MISA registration, number T2023376, which lapsed on 28 September 2025.
  • Withdrawal trap: clients repeatedly report being told to pay about 20% of their balance, or add fresh funds, before any withdrawal. The money is never released.
  • Pensioners and life savings: several reviewers describe elderly relatives losing five and six figure sums after months of cold calls pushing bigger deposits.
  • We assess the risk of fraud as very high. There is no UK company behind the .co.uk site and London phone number, and the firm has rebranded from B-Investor and cycled through several domains.

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Critical

Regulation

10/10 · Critical

No genuine regulation. The only licence is an expired, disavowed offshore MISA registration, and the FCA has issued an unauthorised-firm warning naming the entity and domains.

Identity & transparency

9/10 · Critical

Hidden ownership, a Comoros mail-drop address, a falsely implied UK and Dubai presence with no UK company, and repeated rebrands and domain changes.

Withdrawals & conduct

10/10 · Critical

Consistent fund-integrity complaints on two platforms describing blocked withdrawals and demands to pay a roughly 20% fee or fresh funds to release money, the advance-fee mechanic.

Reputation

10/10 · Critical

Trustpilot around 2.1 across roughly 50 reviews, an FCA warning, pig-butchering references, and documented attempts to pay off and intimidate reviewers.

Website claims

9/10 · Critical

Claimed Multiple Jurisdiction Regulations and Segregated Funds while holding only one expired offshore registration and systematically refusing withdrawals.

Operational history

5/10 · Moderate

About three years of verified history from the 2023 domain, but the operating company could not be dated and the infrastructure has churned through dead and parked sites.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We reached a confirmed scam verdict because the strongest and most independent evidence all points the same way.

  • The FCA published an unauthorised-firm warning naming ExpertB LTD, Expert-B and b-investor.com directly. It was first issued in January 2025 and was still maintained in September 2026.
  • The firm's only licence is a Mwali (Comoros) MISA registration that expired on 28 September 2025. MISA is an offshore registrar that the Central Bank of the Comoros has publicly disavowed, so even while current it gave clients little real protection.
  • Across roughly 50 reviews on two Trustpilot pages, the same account recurs: deposits taken, profits shown on an in-house dashboard, then withdrawals refused unless the client pays a further fee of about 20% or adds fresh funds. A demand for extra payment before funds are released is the classic advance-fee pattern and has no legitimate counterpart.
  • Clients describe being locked out of accounts, unauthorised trades placed in their names, and in one case being offered small sums to delete a negative review and then sent an intimidating video.
  • No company named ExpertB LTD is registered at UK Companies House, despite the .co.uk site and the London phone number that present the firm as British.

Note on operating history: the 3.6-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

Evidence ledger

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.

8 against0 in favour
  • E1FCA unauthorised-firm warning naming B-Investor, ExpertB LTD, Expert-B and the domain b-investor.com, with a Comoros address, UK and Dubai phone numbers, and the firm's social accounts. First issued 06 Jan 2025, last updated 07 Sep 2026.

  • E2Advance-fee and withdrawal-denial pattern: multiple specific client accounts of being told to pay about 20% of the balance, or add fresh funds, before funds would be released, with named account managers and specific amounts such as 16k, 30k and six-figure balances.

  • E3The issuer's own register lists ExpertB LTD, registration HY00923042, MISA licence T2023376, issued 28 Sep 2023 and expired 28 Sep 2025, with website b-investor.com and owner Yordan Vasilev Kostov.

  • E4The broker's own archived homepage states it is owned by ExpertB LTD, licensed only by MISA (T2023376), yet markets Multiple Jurisdiction Regulations and Segregated Funds, and names a payment sister company EasyBeLtd OU (Estonia).

  • E5No company named ExpertB LTD is registered at UK Companies House, despite the expert-b.co.uk website and the London phone number presenting the firm as UK based.

  • E6Second review platform for the UK-facing domain corroborates the same mechanism (manipulated or simulated platform, blocked withdrawals), confirms MISA is disavowed by the Central Bank of the Comoros, notes virtual-office shells, and reports the owner's other entity was struck off.

  • E7Domain ages: b-investor.com registered 08 Mar 2023 (oldest), expert-b.com re-registered 07 Nov 2025, expert-b.co.uk registered 10 Mar 2026. The operation has cycled domains as older sites went offline.

  • E8Reviewers report the firm offered them money (15 to 25 pounds) to remove negative reviews, sent an intimidating manipulated video, placed unauthorised trades, and threatened to sue a pensioner's family for a bad review.

  • E9Cold-call solicitation and a fake profit dashboard: clients report being contacted by phone after searching for trading bots, shown rising profits to encourage larger deposits, then unable to withdraw.

Trustpilot reviews for the UK-facing expert-b.co.uk domain, same complaint pattern.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness, we tested the innocent explanations before concluding.

  • Is it a regional arm of a regulated group? No. ExpertB LTD is a standalone Comoros entity with no tier-1 parent and no genuine onshore licence.
  • Is the MISA licence genuine? The registration did exist on the issuer's own register. But it expired on 28 September 2025 and was only ever an offshore registration, not meaningful supervision.
  • Could the complaints be planted by a competitor? The volume, the consistency, the specific amounts and named staff, victims organising a class action, and the firm itself offering money to remove reviews all point away from that. These read as first-hand victim accounts.
  • Is this mistaken identity? No. The FCA warning lists the exact domains and legal entity, which match the company under review, so there is no name collision.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Our assessment would change if the underlying facts changed.

  • The FCA withdrawing or correcting its warning against these domains and this entity.
  • A genuine, in-force licence from a recognised regulator (for example the FCA, ASIC or CySEC) held by the entity that actually takes client money.
  • Independently verified proof that clients can withdraw their funds in full and on time, with no demand for extra fees or fresh funds.
  • A real, staffed and verifiable office together with transparent, consistent ownership.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is Expert-B a scam?

Yes, the evidence strongly indicates it is. The FCA has warned it is not authorised, and clients across two review pages describe deposits being taken and withdrawals then blocked. We rate it a confirmed scam.

Is Expert-B a fraud?

We do not label any company a criminal fraud, that is for a court to decide. What we can say is that the FCA warns the firm is not authorised, clients report money taken and withdrawals refused, and we assess the risk of fraud as very high. Several clients say they have reported it to Action Fraud and the FCA.

Is Expert-B regulated?

No, not in any meaningful way. Its only licence was a Mwali (Comoros) MISA registration that expired on 28 September 2025, and MISA has been publicly disavowed by the Central Bank of the Comoros. It holds no FCA, ASIC, CySEC or other recognised licence.

Can I withdraw my money from Expert-B?

Clients consistently report that they cannot. The common experience is that a withdrawal request triggers a demand to pay about 20% of the balance, or to add fresh funds, before anything is released, and the money still never arrives.

Is my money safe with Expert-B?

No. There is no deposit protection, no compensation scheme and no ombudsman behind an unauthorised offshore operation. Reviewers describe losing their entire balances, including life savings and pension funds.

Who owns Expert-B?

The operating company is ExpertB LTD, registered in the Comoros. The beneficial owner recorded on the Mwali register is Yordan Vasilev Kostov, with a business address in Nesebar, Bulgaria. Payments ran through a related entity, EasyBeLtd OU, in Estonia.

What is the MISA licence T2023376 worth?

Very little. MISA is an offshore island registrar in the Comoros, not a genuine financial supervisor, and the Comoros central bank has said so publicly. On top of that, this particular registration expired on 28 September 2025.

Is Expert-B the same as B-Investor?

Yes. Expert-B is a rebrand of B-Investor, run by the same company, ExpertB LTD, using the same licence number. The FCA warning and client reviews cover both names together.

Is Expert-B registered in the UK?

No. Despite the expert-b.co.uk website and a London phone number, there is no company called ExpertB LTD at UK Companies House, and the FCA has not authorised it.

Has the FCA warned about Expert-B?

Yes. The FCA published a warning naming B-Investor, ExpertB LTD, Expert-B and the domain b-investor.com, telling consumers the firm is not authorised and to avoid it. The warning was first issued in January 2025 and remained active in September 2026.

What should I do if I was scammed by Expert-B?

Stop sending money immediately, keep all your records, and report the matter to the FCA and Action Fraud in the UK or your national regulator and police elsewhere. Contact your bank about a chargeback or recall. Ignore anyone promising to recover your funds for an upfront fee.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Confirm the broker holds a current licence from a recognised regulator and that the licence is held by the same entity taking your money. Check for regulator warnings, read independent reviews for withdrawal complaints, and be cautious of cold calls, bonus credits and pressure to deposit more.

Our advice

If you are considering Expert-B, or already have money with it, here is what we recommend.

  • Do not deposit. Do not send any fee, tax or fresh funds to release a balance. Paying more does not get your money out.
  • If you have already deposited, stop sending money and gather your records: transfers, emails, dashboard screenshots and the names used by your account manager.
  • Report it. In the UK contact the FCA and Action Fraud. Elsewhere contact your national financial regulator and the police.
  • If you paid by card or bank transfer, ask your bank about a chargeback or payment recall straight away.
  • Be very wary of anyone who contacts you offering to recover your funds for an upfront fee. That is a common follow-up scam aimed at the same victims.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears.
