Regulation
9/10 · CriticalThe FCA warning list names this exact entity and domain as unauthorised, and the only licence held, Comoros T2023376, expired on 28 September 2025. Credit given that the registration was genuine rather than fabricated.
Identity & transparency
9/10 · CriticalThe entity, address and beneficial owner are disclosed on the register, but the advertised London and Dubai offices sit behind no UK company, the brand and domain moved mid-collapse, and every site is now dark.
Withdrawals & conduct
10/10 · CriticalSystematic fund-integrity failure: accounts locked while holding balances, withdrawals refused, unauthorised trades, and repeated demands for a further payment of around 20 per cent before release.
Reputation
9/10 · CriticalOne profile runs 94 per cent one-star across 16 reviews, the platform flags the predecessor for regulatory attention, clients were offered cash to delete reviews and threatened with legal action for posting them.
Website claims
10/10 · CriticalAdvertised an expired licence number in its own page title months after expiry, claimed multi-jurisdictional regulation and segregated funds, published testimonials claiming years of service on a domain under three months old.
Operational history
8/10 · CriticalAround three and a half years at most on the domain leg, and that is an upper bound because the Comoros company cannot be dated. The operation churned brands during a complaint wave and is now defunct.
Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.
- Brand: Expert-B, previously traded as B-Investor.
- Legal entity: ExpertB LTD, company number HY00923042.
- Registered: Bonovo Road, Fomboni, Island of Moheli, Comoros Union. A Downtown Dubai address on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and a London presence were also advertised; clients who tried to use them describe them as shells.
- Controlled by: the Comoros register records one individual, resident in Bulgaria, as both chief executive and ultimate beneficial owner.
- Website: expert-b.com, which no longer resolves. Also expert-b.co.uk and the earlier b-investor.com, now suspended at the registrar.
- Only licence: Comoros registration T2023376 from the Mwali International Services Authority, issued 28 September 2023 and expired 28 September 2025.
- Offers: contracts for difference, shares, crypto, ETFs and commodities, with Basic, Standard, Professional and Diamond account tiers and a copy-trading feature.
- Not accepted: the site listed Russia, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Cuba and Crimea, and stated its services were not directed at UK residents.
- Age claim: testimonials on the site said clients had been with Expert-B for years. The domain was under three months old when that page was captured.

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
Four findings carry this verdict, and each one is checkable from a primary source.
- The FCA warning is an exact identity match. It names ExpertB LTD, the Expert-B brand and expert-b.com together, alongside b-investor.com, a Dubai telephone number and a UK telephone number. It was first published on 6 January 2025 and has been kept updated through 2026. The FCA states the firm is not authorised and may be targeting people in the UK, and that clients have no access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
- The one licence expired before the brand existed. The Mwali International Services Authority's own verification record for ExpertB LTD gives licence T2023376 an issue date of 28 September 2023 and an end date of 28 September 2025. The summary list still carries an Active label, but the licence record itself is what states the end date. expert-b.com was registered on 7 November 2025, six weeks after that expiry.
- The expired number was still being advertised. The Expert-B homepage captured in February 2026 carried Reg. No.T2023376 in its page title, told visitors it offered multi-jurisdictional regulations and segregated client funds, and its footer named ExpertB LTD as licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority. In June 2026 the company was still replying to complaints in public with the statement that Expert B is a regulated broker. By then the licence had been expired for nine months and the FCA warning had been live for eighteen.
- Clients were asked to pay before they could withdraw. This is the most serious pattern in the file and it recurs in detail. One client was told to pay 20 per cent of a balance, around 16,000 US dollars, to release the funds. Another was told a legal department would repatriate money on receipt of a 30,000 dollar transfer to free escrowed funds, and the transfer was never returned. A third was told a liquidity provider required fresh funds to unlock the account. Under the earlier B-Investor brand, a client was told to add 1,400 pounds to revive a plan before withdrawing. There is no legitimate version of this request.
Around it sits a consistent mechanism. Clients describe being contacted by telephone, starting small, being shown growing profits on the platform, being pressed to deposit more, and then losing access. Accounts were locked while trades continued to appear on them. One client reports unauthorised positions opened across silver, natural gas and currencies, producing losses above 3,000 dollars. Reviewers name the same handlers repeatedly across unconnected accounts, which is what a real sales floor looks like from the client side.
Two further details speak to intent. Clients were offered 15 pounds and then 25 pounds to take down negative reviews, and others were threatened with legal action for posting them. Separately, the website told readers it did not actively market in the UK while the firm published a UK telephone line and drew the clear majority of its complainants from Britain.
On history, a rename does not clear a record. ExpertB LTD is the same legal entity that traded as B-Investor, the Comoros register still lists b-investor.com as the licensed website, and the FCA covers both in one warning. b-investor.com was registered in March 2023 and is now held by its registrar; Expert-B's domain was registered the very day that record last changed. The complaint pattern under B-Investor through October and November 2025 is the same lockout-and-pay-to-withdraw mechanic that continued under Expert-B. We can date the domains but not the incorporation of the Comoros company, so the figure of roughly three and a half years is an upper bound on how long this operation has run.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1The FCA warning list names ExpertB LTD, the Expert-B brand and expert-b.com together with b-investor.com, a Dubai number and a UK number, and states the firm is not authorised and may be targeting people in the UK. First published 6 January 2025 and maintained through 2026.
E2The issuing authority's own licence record for ExpertB LTD, company number HY00923042, licence T2023376, issued 28 September 2023 with a licence end date of 28 September 2025, listing b-investor.com as the licensed website and naming a chief executive and beneficial owner resident in Bulgaria.
E3The Expert-B homepage as it stood in February 2026 carried Reg. No.T2023376 in its page title, promised multi-jurisdictional regulations and segregated client funds, and named ExpertB LTD of Bonovo Road, Fomboni, Comoros Union as owner and operator. The licence in that title had expired four months earlier.
E4Several clients independently describe being told to pay before funds would be released: 20 per cent of a balance, around 16,000 US dollars; a 30,000 dollar transfer to free escrowed funds, promised in writing by a legal department and never returned; and a liquidity provider said to require fresh funds to unlock an account.
Hard proofClient reviews for expert-b.comE5Clients report being locked out of accounts that still held balances while trades continued to appear on them, account managers becoming unreachable, and one account showing unauthorised positions across silver, natural gas and currencies producing losses above 3,000 dollars.
E6In replies dated June 2026, the company answered clients who could not withdraw by stating that Expert B is a regulated broker committed to transparency. At that date its licence had been expired for nine months and the FCA warning had been public for eighteen.
E7The website stated that its services were not directly targeted at residents of the United Kingdom and that it did not actively market there, while the firm published a UK telephone line and drew the clear majority of its complainants from Britain.
E8expert-b.com was registered on 7 November 2025 through OrangeHost LLC, while the site published testimonials from clients claiming to have worked with Expert-B for years and carried a 2025 copyright.
E9b-investor.com was registered on 8 March 2023 and now carries a client hold status at its registrar. Its record last changed on 7 November 2025, the same day expert-b.com was registered, dating the move from one brand to the other.
E10Under the earlier B-Investor brand the same mechanic is documented through October and November 2025: accounts blocked without warning, logins refused, and one client told to add 1,400 pounds to revive a plan before withdrawing. The review platform marks the business as having received regulatory attention and records a Downtown Dubai address.
E11The expert-b.co.uk profile runs 94 per cent one-star and zero five-star across 16 reviews, with a single three-star entry written in garbled text that reads as planted. Clients report being offered 15 pounds and then 25 pounds to delete reviews, and others report being threatened with legal action for posting them.
E12A UK company search returns no ExpertB financial company, despite the firm advertising a London presence and a UK telephone line to British clients.
E13ExpertB LTD appears as entry 107 on the Comoros list of authorised brokerage companies under its own exact legal name, with licence T2023376 against the b-investor.com website. The licence number is the firm's own and is not borrowed from another company.
E14The website footer named the operating legal entity, its registration jurisdiction and its registered address, and the register discloses a named chief executive and beneficial owner rather than a nominee. The firm disclosed more about itself than many failed operations do.
E15expert-b.com no longer resolves, b-investor.com is held at its registrar, and expert-b.co.uk returns nothing. The review platform carrying the Expert-B feedback has closed the profile to new reviews on the basis that the company's website has shut down.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
We looked for the innocent reading before settling on this one. These points are genuine and we record them.
- The licence was real, not invented. T2023376 exists on the issuing authority's own register under the exact entity name ExpertB LTD. This is not a borrowed number and not a forged one, and the firm is not impersonating anybody else.
- The company disclosed itself. The site named its legal entity, its registration jurisdiction and its registered address in the footer, and the register discloses a named chief executive and beneficial owner rather than a nominee. Plenty of worse operations disclose nothing at all.
- An offshore licence is not by itself proof of wrongdoing. Hundreds of real brokers hold only low-tier offshore permissions. Weak regulation on its own would make a firm risky, not criminal, and we did not treat it as proof.
- Some complaints came with a competitor attached. At least one negative review ended by recommending a rival by name, which is a known marker of planted content, and we discounted it. The handful of positive reviews read as planted in the other direction, so we discounted those too rather than crediting them.
- The firm did respond publicly. It answered just over half of its negative reviews on one profile, which is more than many failed operations manage.
None of this survives contact with the central facts. A real licence that expired in September 2025 does not authorise anything in 2026, and a firm that keeps printing the number is not making a filing error. The FCA warning is specific to this domain and this entity, so it cannot be explained away as confusion with a similarly named firm. Above all, the requests for a further payment before a withdrawal would be released have no legitimate counterpart anywhere in this industry.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
We would revise this assessment on any of the following, and each is a concrete, checkable thing.
- The FCA removing or correcting its warning against ExpertB LTD, Expert-B and expert-b.com.
- The Mwali International Services Authority publishing a current, unexpired licence for ExpertB LTD with an end date in the future.
- Credible, documented evidence that clients who were asked for a percentage of their balance were in fact paid out in full without making that payment.
- A regulated entity in a jurisdiction with real investor protection taking over the client book and honouring the balances.
- Proof that the accounts describing the 20 per cent release demand and the escrow transfer are fabricated, for example matching text appearing under unrelated brands.
What would not change it: a new website, a new brand name, a fresh set of five-star reviews, or a replacement offshore registration in another low-tier jurisdiction. Those are continuations of the pattern, not answers to it.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Expert-B a scam?
We assess Expert-B as a scam. The UK Financial Conduct Authority lists ExpertB LTD, the Expert-B brand and expert-b.com as an unauthorised firm that may be targeting people in the UK. Its only licence, a Comoros registration, expired on 28 September 2025, and clients report being asked to pay a share of their own balance before any withdrawal would be released.
Is Expert-B a fraud?
We assess the risk of fraud as high, and we say that as our own assessment rather than as a legal finding. What is documented is this: the FCA warns the firm is not authorised, the licence it advertised had expired, and multiple clients describe deposits taken and withdrawals then refused unless a further payment was made. No court has ruled on the matter at the time of writing.
Is Expert-B regulated?
No, not in any meaningful sense. It held a registration from the Mwali International Services Authority in the Comoros, number T2023376, which expired on 28 September 2025. That authority is not a recognised financial supervisor and the Comoros central bank has publicly distanced itself from these licences. Expert-B was never authorised in the UK, the EU, Australia or any other major jurisdiction.
Can I withdraw my money from Expert-B?
Clients consistently report that they could not. The pattern described is an account locked without explanation, withdrawal requests ignored, and then a demand for a further payment before funds would be released. We found no account of anyone who paid that demand and then received their money.
They are asking me to pay 20 per cent of my balance to release my funds. Should I?
No. This is the core of the scheme and several clients describe exactly this demand. Others were told to transfer money to free escrowed funds, or that a liquidity provider needed fresh funds. No legitimate broker ever requires a payment to release your own balance. Paying it loses you more money and releases nothing.
Is my money safe with Expert-B?
No. There is no compensation scheme, no deposit protection and no ombudsman behind this firm. The FCA states explicitly that clients have no access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. The site's claim that client funds were held separately could not be verified by any supervisor.
Who owns Expert-B?
The operating company is ExpertB LTD, company number HY00923042, registered at Bonovo Road, Fomboni, on the island of Moheli in the Comoros Union. The Comoros register records a single individual, resident in Bulgaria, as both chief executive and ultimate beneficial owner. Advertised offices in Dubai and London sit behind that company rather than above it.
How old is Expert-B?
The Expert-B website was registered on 7 November 2025, so the brand is under a year old. The same company traded as B-Investor from a domain registered in March 2023, which puts the operation at roughly three and a half years at most. That is an upper bound, because the Comoros registry does not publish an incorporation date for the company itself.
Is Expert-B the same company as B-Investor?
Yes. Both are ExpertB LTD. The Comoros licence record still lists b-investor.com as the licensed website, and the FCA covers both names and both domains in a single warning. The b-investor.com domain was placed on hold at its registrar on 7 November 2025, the same day expert-b.com was registered. Clients who traded through the change describe it as a rename of the same operation.
Why is the Expert-B website down?
expert-b.com no longer resolves, b-investor.com is suspended at its registrar, and expert-b.co.uk serves nothing. The review platform carrying its client feedback has marked the business as closed. An operation that disappears while clients are still asking for their balances is the end stage of this pattern, not a technical problem.
What is a MISA or Comoros licence actually worth?
Very little. The Mwali International Services Authority is a registrar on an autonomous island in the Comoros, not a functioning supervisor. It does not monitor how brokers handle client money, it operates no compensation fund, and the Comoros central bank has publicly disavowed these licences. In Expert-B's case the registration had also expired, so even that minimal standing had lapsed.
Is Expert-B a clone of another broker?
No. We checked, and this is not an impersonation case. ExpertB LTD holds its own company registration and its own licence number under its own name, and it is not using another firm's credentials. The problem is not a stolen identity; it is that the firm's own licence had expired and it kept advertising it.
What should I do if I have lost money to Expert-B?
Contact your bank or card issuer straight away and ask about a chargeback or payment recall, mentioning that the firm is on the FCA warning list. Report it to Action Fraud and the FCA in the UK, or your national regulator and police elsewhere. Save every statement, receipt, email and screenshot, and write down the names of the people who handled your account.
Someone has offered to recover my funds from Expert-B. Is that genuine?
Treat it as a second scam. Recovery offers aimed at people who have already lost money are routine after a collapse like this one, and clients have reported being approached. Anyone asking for an upfront fee to get your money back is taking a second payment from the same victim. Only your bank or a regulator can act, and neither charges you in advance.
What should I check before depositing with any broker?
Look the firm up on the regulator's own website rather than following a link from the broker. Confirm the licence is current and has not expired, and check that it names the exact company that will hold your money and the exact website you are using. Then search the regulator's warning list for the brand and the domain. All three checks are free and would have flagged this firm.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
If you are dealing with this firm, treat the money as at serious risk and act now.
- Send nothing more. Any request for a percentage of your balance, a tax, an insurance fee, a margin top-up or fresh funds to unlock an account is the trap itself. Paying it does not release anything.
- Report it. In the UK, report to Action Fraud and to the FCA, which already lists this firm. Elsewhere, report to your national financial regulator and to the police.
- Go to your bank or card issuer immediately. Ask about a chargeback or a recall, and say the payments relate to a firm on the FCA warning list. Act quickly, because these windows close.
- Collect your evidence now. Save statements, transfer receipts, platform screenshots, emails and the names of the people who handled your account. Note any intermediate account you were told to pay into before the money moved on.
- Refuse recovery offers. People who have lost money to this brand are already being approached about getting it back. Firms that ask for an upfront fee to recover funds are a second scam aimed at the same victims. Only your bank or a regulator can help, and neither charges you in advance.
- Before any future broker, check the register first. Look the firm up on the regulator's own site, confirm the licence has not expired, and confirm it covers the company that will actually hold your money.
