Risk scorecard
Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.
Regulation
9/10 · CriticalNo licence from any financial regulator while taking deposits for leveraged forex and CFDs, combined with an FCA warning notice naming this exact website.
Identity & transparency
8/10 · CriticalCompany name, registration number and registered address are published, but the FCA records a different firm name and UK and Swiss addresses for this domain, no owners or staff are named, the earlier company name is undisclosed, and independent visits found no office at either address given.
Withdrawals & conduct
2/10 · LowWe found no fund-integrity complaints and no service complaints of any kind, so nothing supports a withdrawal-trap finding; this score reflects an absence of reports, not a verified good payout record.
Reputation
7/10 · HighAn outstanding regulator warning alongside a complete absence of independent customer trace after eight years online: no Trustpilot page, no forum threads, no reviews positive or negative.
Website claims
6/10 · HighIt claims no licence it does not hold, which is a real mitigating factor, but it presents a business registration number as its headline credential in place of regulation and excludes its own home jurisdiction while not excluding the market the FCA says it targets.
Operational history
3/10 · LowTrack record of about eight years is verified from the 2018 domain registration and a 2015 company, and the site's own age claim matches, but the operation reached its current brand through a rename from a predecessor that went dark.
Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.
- Brand: GLOBAL FX
- Legal entity: J&M Global Company Group Limited (Chinese name 環球國際金融有限公司), Hong Kong company number 2303039, business registration number 65417268. Formerly named Stumac Team Creation Limited.
- Registered: Unit 303D, 3/F Block A Hung Hom Commercial Centre, 39 Ma Tau Wai Road, Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong. A second business address is given as Flat A100, 3/F Manning Industrial Building, 116-118 How Ming Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon.
- Website: globalfinfx.com, with a client portal at crm.globalfinfx.com and a second domain, jmgfinfx.com, on the same registrar and the same name servers.
- Only licence: none. No regulator anywhere lists this firm, and the site itself claims no licence.
- Offers: spot forex, gold and precious metals, index and commodity CFDs, on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.
- Not accepted: the site says its information is not directed at residents of the United States, Germany, mainland China and the Hong Kong SAR. It does not exclude the United Kingdom.
- Age claim: the site says it was established in 2018 and carries a 2019 copyright line. The domain was registered on 2 August 2018 and the company dates from 3 November 2015, so the age claim is broadly honest.

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
One finding carries most of the weight, and several others point the same way.
- A regulator has already warned about this exact website. On 24 March 2023 the FCA published a notice under the name GLOBAL DIGITAL FINANCE. The website field on that notice reads www.globalfinfx.com, which is the site under review. The FCA says the firm is not authorised and is targeting people in the UK. A warning that names the domain, rather than just a brand word, leaves no room for a mix-up with a similarly named company.
- The identity on that notice does not match the identity on the site. The FCA records a London address at 10 Queen Street Place and a Swiss address in Bern, plus a contact email at globfinfx.com, a near-copy of the main domain that is no longer registered. The site itself presents a Hong Kong company. So UK visitors were shown a British and Swiss front while the contracting company sits in Kowloon.
- There is no licence to fall back on. The site publishes a Hong Kong business registration number where a licence number would normally go. That number proves a company exists. It says nothing about whether the company may hold client money or deal in leveraged products. No regulator we checked lists this firm.
- Its own restricted-country list is telling. A Hong Kong company that excludes Hong Kong residents from its service is arranging things so that its home regulator has little reason to look at it, while keeping the credibility of a Hong Kong address. The United Kingdom, where the FCA says it is active, is not on that exclusion list.
- The brand has been changed once already. The same Hong Kong company previously operated as STUMAC at stumacforex.com. That brand was reported as unregulated and its website stopped working; the domain is no longer registered at all. The company was renamed rather than wound up, so that history belongs to the operation running today.
- The Australian connection is not regulation either. A same-named Australian company, J&M Global Company Group Pty Ltd (ACN 665104950), was recorded as an authorised representative of another firm's licence, AFS licence 421246 held by MGF Capital Pty Ltd, from 25 April 2023. That appointment ceased on 20 May 2025. An authorised representative acts under someone else's licence and never holds one of its own, and this one has ended.
- Independent checks found no office. Field visits reported by a third-party broker directory found no sign of the business at either the Kwun Tong address on the site or the Australian address.
- Nobody is talking about it. After eight years there is no Trustpilot page for the domain, no discussion on Reddit and no threads on the main forex complaint forums. For a firm that describes itself as serving clients in many countries, that silence is itself a problem: there is no body of customers whose experience we can weigh.
We stopped short of calling this a confirmed scam. We found exactly one register-class item against it, and we found no customer reports of money being kept. Those are the two things that would settle it.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1The UK Financial Conduct Authority published a warning notice on 24 March 2023 under the firm name GLOBAL DIGITAL FINANCE. The website field on that notice reads www.globalfinfx.com, the exact site under review. The FCA states the firm may be providing financial services without authorisation and is targeting people in the UK.
E2The site's own footer names J&M Global Company Group Limited, gives the Hung Hom registered address and shows a registration code of 65417268, with no regulator, no licence number and no verification link anywhere on the site. The number is a Hong Kong business registration number, not a trading licence.
E3The identity the FCA recorded for this website does not match the identity the website presents. The notice gives a London address at 10 Queen Street Place and a Swiss address in Bern, plus a contact email on the near-identical domain globfinfx.com, while the site itself presents a Hong Kong company.
E4The same Hong Kong company previously carried the name Stumac Team Creation Limited and traded under the brand STUMAC at stumacforex.com. That brand was reported as unregulated with no licence found in Hong Kong, its website stopped working, and the domain is no longer registered. The company was renamed rather than replaced.
E5A same-named Australian company, J&M Global Company Group Pty Ltd (ACN 665104950), was recorded as an authorised representative, number 1303079, under AFS licence 421246 held by MGF Capital Pty Ltd, from 25 April 2023 until it ceased on 20 May 2025. An authorised representative acts under another firm's licence and holds none of its own, and this appointment has ended.
E6Independent field visits reported by a third-party broker directory found no sign of the business at the Kwun Tong business address published on the site, and no office at the Australian address associated with the operation.
ModerateA third-party broker directory, field survey reportsE7The site's disclaimer says its information is not directed at residents of the United States, Germany, mainland China and the Hong Kong SAR. A Hong Kong company excluding Hong Kong residents keeps the credibility of a Hong Kong address while giving its home regulator little reason to act. The United Kingdom, where the FCA says the firm is active, is not excluded.
ModerateGLOBAL FX website, disclaimerE8A sweep of Trustpilot, Reddit and the main forex complaint forums returned nothing at all for this domain or company: no complaints and no positive reviews. There is no Trustpilot page for globalfinfx.com. For a platform online since 2018 this empty footprint means no independent customer experience exists to weigh.
ModerateComplaint and review sweep across three platformsE9A second domain, jmgfinfx.com, was registered on 26 May 2021 through the same registrar and points at the same two name servers as the main site, tying it to the same operation. It currently serves a default web-server page rather than a working site.
E10The site makes no false regulatory claim. It names no regulator, invents no licence number and borrows no other firm's credentials, and it openly publishes its legal entity, registration number and registered address. This is a genuine point in its favour compared with the typical unlicensed site.
ModerateGLOBAL FX websiteE11The domain globalfinfx.com was registered on 2 August 2018, which matches the site's own statement that the business was established in 2018. There is no age misrepresentation here.
E12An independent website-risk check records the domain as registered in August 2018 and behind a Cloudflare front, notes very low visitor numbers, and flags the site as high-risk financial services. It reports no user complaints on file.
E13The site sells leveraged forex, gold and index CFDs through MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 with account opening and login, so it is a deposit-taking retail brokerage and not a prop firm, an introducing broker or an education seller. No licence exemption applies to this model.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
We looked for the innocent reading, and some of it holds up.
- It does not fake a licence. Most operations in this category invent a regulator or borrow someone else's licence number. This one does not. It publishes its company name, its registration number and its registered address, and leaves the regulation section empty. That is a real difference and we have scored it accordingly.
- It does not lie about its age. The site says 2018. The domain was registered in August 2018 and the company goes back to 2015. Both check out, which is unusual in this queue.
- The company is real. A Hong Kong company with a registration number and a registered address genuinely exists behind the website. That is more than many suspect sites can show.
- No one has reported losing money. We found no complaint anywhere about a blocked withdrawal, a frozen account or a demand for a fee to release funds. Absence of complaints is not proof of good behaviour, but we will not invent a withdrawal problem we did not find.
- The FCA notice is three years old and the firm name on it does not match. A reader could argue the notice concerns a different operation that happened to use this address. We weighed that and rejected it: the notice names the domain itself, and the domain has been continuously registered to the same operation since 2018.
- The Hong Kong register was unavailable. We could not consult the Securities and Futures Commission's public register of licensed persons on the day of this review, so our statement that the firm is unlicensed in Hong Kong rests on the absence of any licence claim by the firm and on the wider search, not on that register.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
We would revise this report if any of the following turned up.
- The FCA removing or correcting the 24 March 2023 notice, or confirming that the website entry on it refers to a different operation. That single item carries most of our conclusion.
- A current licence for J&M Global Company Group Limited on the register of a real financial regulator, in a category that permits dealing in leveraged foreign exchange and holding client money, with this website recorded against it.
- An SFC licence for the Hong Kong entity, which would be the natural home regulator for a company registered in Kowloon and selling leveraged forex.
- Evidence that the current operation is genuinely severed from the STUMAC business: different owners, a different company, and no shared addresses or infrastructure.
- A body of verifiable customer experience showing that deposits and withdrawals work normally, with amounts and dates, on platforms outside the firm's control.
- Conversely, a single credible report of a withdrawal being refused, or of a payment demanded before funds are released, would push this to a confirmed scam finding.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is GLOBAL FX (globalfinfx.com) a scam?
We rate it a likely scam, at 70 percent risk. The UK Financial Conduct Authority published a warning on 24 March 2023 naming this exact website as an unauthorised firm targeting people in the UK. The operator holds no financial licence anywhere. We stopped short of a confirmed finding only because no customer has publicly reported losing money.
Is GLOBAL FX regulated?
No. J&M Global Company Group Limited holds no licence from any financial regulator. The site itself makes no regulatory claim. The number it shows, 65417268, is a Hong Kong business registration number, which proves a company exists but authorises nothing.
What is the FCA warning about?
On 24 March 2023 the FCA added a notice under the firm name GLOBAL DIGITAL FINANCE. The website recorded on that notice is www.globalfinfx.com. The FCA says the firm may be providing financial services without its authorisation and is targeting people in the UK, and advises avoiding it.
Can I withdraw my money from GLOBAL FX?
We found no public reports either way, so we cannot promise you can or warn you that you cannot. What we can say is that if a withdrawal is refused there is no regulator to complain to and no compensation scheme, because the firm is unlicensed. Request everything back now and keep records.
Is my money safe with GLOBAL FX?
No, in the sense that matters. There is no supervisor checking that client money is held separately from the company's own funds, no audit requirement and no compensation fund. If the operation stops paying, there is no formal route to recover anything.
Who owns GLOBAL FX?
The site names J&M Global Company Group Limited, a Hong Kong company registered at Unit 303D, Hung Hom Commercial Centre in Kowloon. No directors, owners or management are named anywhere on the site. The company was previously called Stumac Team Creation Limited.
How old is GLOBAL FX?
The website domain was registered on 2 August 2018, so about eight years. The Hong Kong company behind it dates from 3 November 2015. The site says it was established in 2018, which is consistent with what we found.
Is a Hong Kong business registration number the same as a licence?
No, and this is the key point. A registration number means a company was set up and pays business registration fees. A licence means a financial regulator has examined the firm, imposed capital and client-money rules, and supervises it. Selling leveraged forex in Hong Kong requires a Securities and Futures Commission licence, which this firm does not have.
Is GLOBAL FX a clone of another broker?
We found no evidence of cloning. It does not copy a real regulated firm's name, licence number or branding. What it does do is present a different identity abroad: the FCA notice records the firm as GLOBAL DIGITAL FINANCE with London and Bern addresses, not as the Hong Kong company shown on the site.
What was STUMAC and why does it matter?
STUMAC was the earlier brand of the same Hong Kong company, which was then named Stumac Team Creation Limited and traded at stumacforex.com. That brand was reported as unregulated, its website stopped working and its domain is no longer registered. A change of name does not clear that history, because the company itself was never replaced.
Why are there no reviews of GLOBAL FX anywhere?
We checked Trustpilot, Reddit and the main forex complaint forums and found nothing, not a single complaint and not a single positive review. For a platform that has been online for eight years, that empty footprint is a warning in itself. It means no independent body of customer experience exists to reassure you.
What should I do if I already deposited money?
Request a full withdrawal in writing and keep every reply. Contact your bank or card issuer straight away about a chargeback or payment recall, with dates and amounts. If you were approached in the UK, report it to the FCA on 0800 111 6768. Do not pay any fee, tax or charge presented as a condition of releasing your balance.
What should I check before depositing with any broker?
Find the licence number on the broker's own site, then look it up on the regulator's public register, not on a link the broker gives you. Check that the register entry shows the same company name and the same website. Then check whether the regulator is a serious one and whether the licence actually permits holding client money.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Our advice is to keep your money out of this platform.
- Do not deposit. There is no regulator standing behind this operation, so there is no complaints scheme, no compensation fund and no supervisor to appeal to.
- If you already have money on the platform, request a full withdrawal now and keep written records of every request, amount and reply.
- Never pay a tax, fee, commission or insurance charge in order to release your own balance. That request is the clearest sign of a trap, and paying it does not get the money out.
- If you were approached from the UK, report it to the FCA on 0800 111 6768, since the FCA already has this website on its warning list.
- If you deposited by card or bank transfer, contact your bank immediately about a chargeback or a payment recall, and give them the dates and amounts.
- Ignore anyone who contacts you offering to recover your funds for an upfront fee. Recovery offers that follow a loss are usually a second scam aimed at the same victim.
