What we checked

This authorisation is in force but limited — it does not carry the same protections as a full trading licence.

Register says
Active as a Central Counterparty licence; not a retail trading licence

Finding

A genuine Central Counterparty licence, meaning authorisation to act as a clearing house between member brokers. SERC's register lists Global Liquidity Exchange Co., Ltd under Central Counterparty and not under Derivative Broker, so this licence does not permit taking deposits from retail traders or operating their trading accounts. It was nonetheless the only regulatory credential shown on a site selling retail CFD accounts. Client protection: Low. Cambodia operates no investor compensation scheme, and this authorisation does not extend to holding or protecting retail client deposits.

SERC is classed as an offshore regime. An offshore registration can be entirely legitimate, but it typically means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about this licence

Answered from this register entry and the authority’s own record.

Most Popular Questions

There is no way to do so through anything on record. GLX publishes no account opening link, and the web addresses held for it serve domain sale pages rather than a brokerage. Anyone being offered a GLX account through some other channel is being offered it by a route nothing on record supports.

The contact points on record are the email address info@glexchange.com, the telephone number +852 936 132 67 and one Facebook page. English is the only language recorded and no support hours are recorded. The email address uses the glexchange.com domain, which is one of the two addresses now offered for sale.

GLX's trading costs are not established. No spread figure, no spread type and no commission schedule is recorded, and the single account entry on record says only that commission may apply on some instruments. With no published pricing page, there is nothing current to quote.

The maximum leverage on record for GLX is 1:1000. It is unconfirmed, because GLX publishes no trading conditions page, and it is hard to reconcile with the Cyprus licence the record names, since retail leverage under that regime is capped far lower. One account entry on the record carries a 1:1 figure instead, so the record is not internally consistent on this point.

No. The two web addresses on record for GLX, glexport.com and glexchange.com, no longer serve a GLX website, and each now lands on a page offering that domain for sale. There is no current GLX site on which its licence, terms, fees or platforms can be checked.

GLX is the trading brand of Global Liquidity Exchange Co., Ltd., a company registered in Cambodia with registration number 00037736. The address on record is 462 Monivong Blvd, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. That registration shows the company exists; it is not a financial licence and does not by itself authorise brokerage activity.

GLX publishes no account opening or verification terms at present, so its own KYC requirements cannot be stated. The record notes only that verification is required for some funding channels, such as e-wallets and local banking options. Identity verification is a standard requirement for firms handling client money, but what GLX itself asks for is not documented anywhere we can point to.

The minimum deposit on record for GLX is 200 USD. That figure is not confirmed by anything GLX publishes, because it has no working website, and it is not consistent across the record: the cryptocurrency funding entries show a 10 USD minimum instead. It is best read as the account minimum previously recorded rather than as a current, confirmed requirement.

The funding channels on record are credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay, e-wallets including Neteller, Skrill and Perfect Money, bank wire transfer, local bank and mobile banking options, and cryptocurrency including Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT. The fees and processing times held against those channels contradict one another and are supported by nothing GLX publishes, so no figures are quoted here. GLX has no working funding page at present, so none of these options can be confirmed as still available.

MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are the platforms on record for GLX. MetaTrader 5 is listed for desktop, mobile and web, and MetaTrader 4 for desktop and web. No platform server or download link is recorded, and GLX has no working website at present, so neither platform can be obtained from the company today.

No GLX licence has been confirmed on a regulator's own register, so its regulatory standing is a claim rather than a verified licence. The record names the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission and licence number 6042/11, which WIKILIX has not confirmed, alongside a Cambodian company registration, number 00037736, which is not financial regulation. GLX also has no working website at present, so nothing it publishes can be checked and its safety cannot be established.

Licence 005 was issued by Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), the financial authority for Cambodia.
GLX holds this SERC licence. A licence on record means the authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement.
We located this entry on the SERC register. Note that confirming a register ENTRY is not the same as confirming a live licence — the register’s own wording on this page is what states its current standing.
Wikilix rates SERC tier 3. Supervision is lighter-touch and client protections vary.
Yes, SERC is classed as an offshore regime. That can be a legitimate registration, but it usually means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.
This page links straight to the SERC register. Search it for 005, and for the name GLX rather than the trading brand.
