Risk scorecard
Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.
Regulation
10/10 · CriticalNo licence of its own. The Irish authorisation C423427 its branding pointed to is held by Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, an unconnected company, which is another firm's licence rather than a weak one.
Identity & transparency
10/10 · CriticalNo legal entity, company number or address disclosed anywhere, and the identity it did present belongs to a different, supervised company in a different country from its hosting.
Withdrawals & conduct
4/10 · ModerateNo verified fund-integrity complaints are tied to this address and Trustpilot holds no reviews for it, so no pattern was established. The blank record reflects a short-lived site, not a good payout history.
Reputation
8/10 · CriticalNo organic footprint of any kind, no positive reviews, and the only recognition the name carries is as a look-alike of a real broker. No warning list names it, which is why this is not at the top of the scale.
Website claims
10/10 · CriticalThe homepage asserted it was Interactive Brokers Ireland using that firm's own title and description text word for word, which is a false statement of identity rather than an exaggeration.
Operational history
9/10 · CriticalDomain registered 13 January 2026 and no operating company datable, so the track record is under a year, while the borrowed identity implies a long-established regulated group.
Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.
- Brand: presented itself as Interactive Brokers Ireland, a name that belongs to another company
- Legal entity: none disclosed anywhere on the site, and none found in any registry
- Registered: no address published
- Website: ibkrk.com, live from mid January 2026 and no longer serving a page
- Only licence: none of its own. The Irish authorisation its branding pointed to (reference C423427) is held by Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, an unconnected company
- Offers: global multi-asset trading in stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds and funds, described in text lifted from the genuine site
- Not accepted: no country restrictions could be established, because the site's own pages were not preserved
- Age claim: the borrowed identity implies a long-established regulated group. The domain dates from January 2026

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
Two findings settle this, and they come from different places, so neither depends on the other.
- The content was taken from the real firm. The homepage saved from ibkrk.com in January 2026 is titled Home | Interactive Brokers Ireland. The genuine Interactive Brokers Ireland homepage at interactivebrokers.ie carries that same title, and both pages carry the identical description text about leading online trading solutions with direct global access to stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds and funds. The keyword set matches too. This is not a similar name. It is the same text.
- The identity belongs to someone else. The Central Bank of Ireland register shows reference C423427 against Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, authorised as a MiFID investment firm. The register carries nothing for ibkrk.com. Interactive Brokers, on its own fraud and scam page, states that its real web domains are interactivebrokers.com, interactivebrokers.co.uk and interactivebrokers.ie. ibkrk.com is absent from that list, and the same page explains that clone firm scams work by copying a real firm's look and even its web address.
The supporting picture is consistent with a purpose-built look-alike rather than any part of a regulated group.
- The domain was registered on 13 January 2026 through a retail registrar, and a certificate was issued for it the next day by a Chinese certificate authority.
- ibkrk.com and www.ibkrk.com both resolve to an Alibaba Cloud address in Hong Kong. A Dublin investment firm supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland does not run its client-facing site that way.
- The same domain was recycled. Certificate records show an earlier deployment from July 2021, and by 2023 the address was redirecting visitors to a pay-per-click parking host. It was then re-registered in January 2026 and turned into this impersonation.
- The name itself is a single-letter alteration of ibkr.com, the short address Interactive Brokers uses for its own help and product pages.
How the number is reached. Weighted across the six dimensions (regulation and identity count double) the scorecard gives a mean of 8.9, or 89 percent. Two independent findings of impersonation carry the floor to 90, and the corroborating registration, hosting and certificate evidence puts the published figure at 91 percent.
What we did not establish. The site's application files were not preserved, so we cannot say what it did with the people who arrived, whether it accepted deposits, or which licence numbers it displayed. We therefore do not allege any specific loss, and we have not recorded a single withdrawal complaint against this address. The impersonation is what is proven, and for a site wearing a supervised broker's identity that is the mechanism itself.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1The homepage saved from ibkrk.com on 15 January 2026 is titled Home | Interactive Brokers Ireland and carries the description text about leading online trading solutions with direct global access to stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds and funds, together with Interactive Brokers own keyword set. This is the real firm's website text, not a similar name.
Hard proofInternet Archive capture of ibkrk.comE2The Central Bank of Ireland register records reference C423427 against Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, authorised as a MiFID investment firm and as a crypto-asset service provider. The register holds nothing for ibkrk.com, so the identity the site presented belongs to a different, supervised company.
Hard proofCentral Bank of Ireland registerE3The genuine Interactive Brokers Ireland homepage carries the identical page title and the identical description text found on the saved ibkrk.com page, which establishes the direction of copying.
E4Interactive Brokers states on its own fraud and scam page that its real domains are interactivebrokers.com, interactivebrokers.co.uk and interactivebrokers.ie. ibkrk.com is absent from that list. The same page explains that clone firm scams copy a real firm's look, feel and even web address.
E5The domain registration record shows ibkrk.com was created on 13 January 2026 through a retail registrar and expires in January 2027. The impersonation site was live two days after registration, against an identity implying a firm supervised in Ireland since 2020.
E6Both ibkrk.com and www.ibkrk.com resolve to 149.129.124.66, which sits in an Alibaba Cloud Hong Kong network. That is not how a Dublin investment firm supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland runs its client-facing website.
E7Certificate transparency records show a certificate issued for ibkrk.com on 14 January 2026 by a Chinese certificate authority, one day after the domain was registered. Earlier certificates from 2021 cover the domain alongside unrelated non-financial websites, showing the name was recycled rather than continuously operated as a broker.
E8An archived capture from January 2023 shows ibkrk.com redirecting visitors to a pay-per-click parking host at ww25.ibkrk.com, confirming the address was parked for monetisation before it was rebuilt as an Interactive Brokers look-alike.
E9Trustpilot holds an unclaimed profile for ibkrk.com with zero reviews and zero reviews in the last twelve months, so no client complaint pattern and no positive footprint could be established for this address. This is recorded as an absence of data, not as a clean payout record.
ModerateTrustpilot profile for ibkrk.comE10The Financial Conduct Authority warning about an Interactive Brokers clone names a different look-alike web address and a set of Dutch telephone numbers, and does not name ibkrk.com. It was therefore not counted as evidence against this domain, and no warning list we searched names this address.
E11ibkrk.com no longer serves a working website. Its security certificate lapsed and the address returns a server error instead of a page, so the impersonation appears to have run for a matter of weeks from mid January 2026 before being abandoned.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
The case against ibkrk.com is strong, but several things genuinely point the other way and belong on the record.
- No regulator has named this address. We searched the warning lists and found no entry for ibkrk.com. The Financial Conduct Authority does publish a warning about an Interactive Brokers clone, but it names a different look-alike address and a set of Dutch telephone numbers, so we did not treat it as evidence against this domain. Attributing one clone's warning to another would be wrong.
- No victim reports exist. Trustpilot holds an unclaimed profile for ibkrk.com with zero reviews, and searches of discussion forums and scam trackers returned nothing tied to this address. There is no complaint pattern here, and we have not scored one.
- Nobody may have been harmed. The site served a page for a matter of weeks and has been broken since its certificate lapsed. It may have been abandoned before it took a single deposit.
- The operator is unproven. The domain lapsed and was re-registered in January 2026, so whoever ran the 2021 deployment need not be whoever built this one. We have not assumed continuity of ownership.
- The real firm is blameless. Interactive Brokers is a large, long-established and heavily supervised broker. Its licences, its record and its reputation are its own. Nothing in this report is a finding about the genuine group, and a reader should not carry any of it across.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Any one of these would change our conclusion, and we would revise it.
- Interactive Brokers adding ibkrk.com to the list of real domains it publishes on its own fraud and scam page, or naming it in a group entity disclosure.
- The Central Bank of Ireland register recording ibkrk.com as a website of Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited under reference C423427.
- A registry or licence record naming an actual operating company behind ibkrk.com, holding its own authorisation to take client money, and explaining the copied text.
- Evidence that the identical title and description text arrived through a licensed white-label or introducing arrangement with the genuine group rather than by appropriation.
What would not change it: the site coming back online, a new certificate, or a fresh set of positive reviews appearing. None of those would answer the impersonation.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is ibkrk.com a scam?
We assess it as a clone site, which is a form of scam. It copied the name, page title and description text of Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, a firm authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland, while holding no authorisation itself. The domain was registered on 13 January 2026 and is not among the web addresses Interactive Brokers publishes as its own.
Is ibkrk.com a fraud?
No court or regulator has made a finding of fraud against this address, so we do not state one. What we can say is that we assess the risk of fraud as high: the site presented itself as a supervised Irish investment firm using that firm's own website text, and it has no licence of its own. Using another company's identity to attract clients is the core mechanism of investment fraud.
Is ibkrk.com the real Interactive Brokers?
No. Interactive Brokers states on its own fraud and scam page that its real domains are interactivebrokers.com, interactivebrokers.co.uk and interactivebrokers.ie. ibkrk.com is not one of them. The genuine Irish entity, Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, trades at interactivebrokers.ie.
Is ibkrk.com regulated?
No. We found no licence held by whoever operated ibkrk.com. The Irish authorisation its branding pointed to, reference C423427, belongs to Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, a separate and unconnected company. A licence held by another firm gives you no protection at all.
Can I withdraw my money from ibkrk.com?
The address no longer serves a working page, so there is nothing to log into. If you sent money, do not wait. Contact your bank or card issuer immediately about a recall or chargeback, and report it to your police and financial regulator.
Is my money safe with ibkrk.com?
No. Money sent to an unlicensed operation carries no investor protection. Because the site was not authorised, there is no compensation scheme and no ombudsman to complain to, unlike the position with the genuine authorised firm.
Who owns or operates ibkrk.com?
Nobody is named. The site disclosed no legal entity, no company number and no address, and we found no registry record for any operating company behind it. The domain was registered through a retail registrar and the site is hosted on an Alibaba Cloud address in Hong Kong.
How old is ibkrk.com?
The domain was registered on 13 January 2026, making it under a year old at the time of writing. The name had an earlier life, with a certificate from July 2021, but it then spent 2022 to 2024 redirecting to a pay-per-click parking host before being re-registered and turned into this impersonation.
Is ibkrk.com a clone firm?
Yes, that is exactly our finding. Its saved homepage carries the identical page title and the word-for-word description text of the genuine Interactive Brokers Ireland homepage. Interactive Brokers describes this pattern on its own website as a clone firm scam, where fraudsters copy a real firm's look, feel and even web address.
Has any regulator issued a warning about ibkrk.com?
Not that we could find. The Financial Conduct Authority has published a warning about an Interactive Brokers clone, but it names a different look-alike web address, so it does not apply to this domain. Warning lists lag new look-alike sites by months, so the absence of an entry is not reassurance.
Why are there no reviews or complaints about ibkrk.com?
Trustpilot holds an unclaimed profile for ibkrk.com with no reviews at all, and we found no forum or tracker reports tied to it. The site was live for a short window before it broke, which is the likeliest explanation. An absence of complaints is not a good payout record, it simply means few people got that far.
What should I check before depositing with any broker?
Look the firm up on the regulator's own register, not on a link the firm sends you, and confirm the website listed there is character for character the one you are on. Check the licence covers holding client money in your country. Type the address by hand, and treat any request for a fee to release your own funds as a scam.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Treat ibkrk.com as an impersonation of a regulated broker and keep away from it.
- Do not deposit, and do not upload identity documents to ibkrk.com or to any address built on a small alteration of a broker's real name.
- Reach Interactive Brokers only at interactivebrokers.com, interactivebrokers.co.uk or interactivebrokers.ie, and type the address by hand rather than following a link from an email, an advert or a message.
- If you already sent money, contact your bank or card issuer straight away and ask about a recall or chargeback, then report it to your national police and to your financial regulator. Move quickly, because recovery chances fall sharply with time.
- If you sent documents, assume they may be reused, and watch for accounts or credit opened in your name.
- Check any firm on the regulator's own register before paying, and confirm the website shown there matches the one in front of you.
- Ignore anyone offering to recover your funds for an upfront fee. That is a second scam aimed at people who lost money in the first one. Interactive Brokers never charges a fee to release funds and does not run accounts through social media.
This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed September 9, 2026.
