Opofinance Broker Overview
Opofinance is an online forex and CFD broker operating since 2021. Its client agreement names OPO GROUP LLC, a Saint Vincent and the Grenadines company, as the company clients deal with, while the group's licences are held by sister companies in Seychelles, South Africa and Australia. The broker offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradingView and its own OpoTrade app, with accounts from 100 USD, floating spreads and leverage of up to 1:2000. Funding runs through cryptocurrency, e-wallets and cards, and the site has a Persian version addressed to Iranian traders.
Opofinance Regulation and License
A licence check on 24 October 2026 confirmed three licences on the regulators' own registers, each held by a different Opofinance group company:
- Opo Group Ltd, registered in Seychelles under number 8430865-1 according to the broker's site, holds licence SD124 from the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA), an offshore securities dealer licence. The FSA register lists it as active, together with the websites opofinance.com and opoforex.com and the company's CT House address in Providence, Mahe.
- OPO FINANCE (PTY) LTD, South African company 2024/235157/07, holds Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) licence 54594, a Category I licence for derivative instruments authorised for intermediary services only. It gives no advice permission and is not an over-the-counter derivatives provider licence. The register dates it from 19 May 2025, while the broker's footer gives 20 May 2025.
- OPO FINANCE PTY LTD, Australian company ACN 050 569 250, holds Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) licence AFSL 402043, which allows general financial product advice on derivatives, foreign exchange contracts and securities to retail and wholesale clients, but not dealing in, making a market in or issuing CFDs. The licence dates from 21 April 2011 and came with a company renamed from Harvard Markets Pty Ltd in May 2024.
Is Opofinance Regulated?
Not the company its client agreement places clients with: OPO GROUP LLC holds none of the group's three licences, and the broker's site names no financial regulator for it. Of the licences the group does hold, only the Seychelles one is a securities dealer licence; the South African licence covers intermediary services and the Australian licence advice. The site also names the ASIC-licensed Australian company although its client agreement (clause 5.9) and FAQ say Australian residents are not accepted.
OPO GROUP LLC
OPO GROUP LLC is the company named in the client agreement on Opofinance's terms page, which calls Opofinance its business brand, is governed by the laws of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and gives that country's courts exclusive jurisdiction (clause 28.2). According to the broker's site, the company is registered under Saint Vincent's Limited Liability Company Act with number 866LLC2021 and has its registered office at Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre, Beachmont, Kingstown. The agreement calls that number a licence number, but registration under a company law is not a licence from a financial regulator. The site's footer adds that clients onboarded under OPO GROUP LTD and OPO FINANCE PTY LTD are given access to trading through cTrader and TradingView.
Is Opofinance Safe?
Opofinance's safety turns on two points: the client agreement places clients with OPO GROUP LLC, which holds none of the group's licences, and the protection attached to those licences is limited. The licence check found no investor compensation scheme and no deposit insurance behind the Seychelles licence, the FSCA's conduct rules and the FAIS Ombud protect only clients of the South African company, and the Australian licence covers advice rather than dealing in the products clients trade.
The client agreement also gives OPO GROUP LLC wide discretion. If it has grounds to suspect arbitrage, sniping or another strategy it treats as abusive, it may void profitable trades while enforcing losing ones and confiscate the profits (clause 34.2); after an event of default it may remove illicit profit, which the agreement defines to include profit made during abnormal market conditions such as rapid price movements or price gaps (clause 24.2); it may void a trade when its liquidity provider cancels the matching hedge (clause 17.22); and on termination it may hold back whatever it considers appropriate for future liabilities before paying out the balance (clause 20.13). A deficit on one trading account can be settled from the client's other accounts (clause 13.3).
Opofinance Account Types
All accounts are in US dollars with market execution, a margin call at 80% and a stop out at 20%, although one FAQ answer gives 40% for MetaTrader accounts.
- MetaTrader: Standard (100 USD minimum, no commission, spreads from 1.8 pips), ECN (100 USD, 6 USD per lot, from 0.8 pips), ECN Pro (5,000 USD, 4 USD per lot, from 0.0 pips), Social Trade (200 USD), Social Pro (5,000 USD) and Black (100,000 USD, raw spreads, no commission).
- cTrader: cTrader ECN (200 USD, 6 USD per lot, from 1 pip), cTrader ECN Plus (5,000 USD, 4 USD per lot, from 0.0 pips) and cTrader Copy (200 USD, from 2.2 pips).
- OpoTrade: OpoTrade STD, ECN and ECNPRO, with the same minimums, commissions and spreads as the MetaTrader Standard, ECN and ECN Pro accounts.
- Prop: a one-phase live challenge with partner FORFX from 1,000 USD, funded with the client's own deposit rather than an entry fee, at 1:30 leverage with an 8% total stop-loss; a pass leads to a funded account on the FORFX platform with an 80% profit split. The Prop page shows three plans and the home page four.
Swap-free status is requested in the user panel, but the broker's pages disagree on who can have it: one FAQ answer limits it to 14 days and excludes ECN Pro, Prop and Social Trade Pro, another excludes only ECN Pro, and the account pages mark it available on every account, with ECN Pro needing a 30,000 USD balance. The client agreement adds a swap-free charge that the broker sets and may change, and lets it discontinue the swap-free account without further warning (clause 33.1).
Opofinance Spreads, Commissions and Fees
Spreads float on every account. Several commissions differ between the broker's own pages: the comparison table gives Social Trade spreads from 1.5 pips with no commission and the social trading page gives Social Pro spreads from 0.0 pips at 4 USD per lot, while the home page shows both at 6 USD per lot from 0.8 pips; the cTrader Copy page shows 6 USD where the table says none; and Prop commissions are 6 USD on the home page but 3 USD on the larger plans on the Prop page.
Outside trading, the client agreement lets the broker charge transfer costs of usually 3% to 6% on a withdrawal made without trading activity and recover any deposit fees in that case (clauses 6.14 and 9.10(a)), debits payment charges to the account and pays out no closing balance smaller than the bank charges (clause 15.6), charges 5 USD a month after six months without trading (clauses 9.11 and 27.13) and lets a balance of up to 1 USD on an account closed or inactive for more than 90 days go to charity (clause 6.11). On share and index CFDs, short positions are debited the dividend, while long positions are credited it only at the broker's discretion (clause 9.14).
Opofinance Leverage
Leverage reaches 1:2000 on the MetaTrader Standard, ECN and ECN Pro accounts and the three OpoTrade accounts; on MetaTrader the client chooses at account opening between normal leverage of 1:100 to 1:500 and high leverage of 1:1000 to 1:2000. The cTrader accounts run from 1:100 to 1:500, although the cTrader ECN page itself says up to 1:2000. Social Trade, Social Pro and Black go up to 1:500, and the Prop account is set at 1:30. The client agreement lets the broker apply a dynamic leverage model, higher margin requirements or other trading restrictions to clients it classes as high-risk (clause 14.11).
Opofinance Trading Platforms
MetaTrader 4 (server OpogroupLLC-Real1) and MetaTrader 5 (server Opogroup-Server1) run the MetaTrader accounts. The site links MT5 builds for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android but only mobile builds for MT4, whose desktop buttons on the platforms page download the MT5 installer. cTrader serves cTrader accounts only, with desktop and mobile builds and built-in copy trading. OpoTrade, the broker's own platform with TradingView charts, runs in the Opofinance app for iOS and Android and from the client dashboard. The TradingView page explains how to connect an account to TradingView, though an older FAQ answer still calls this coming soon, and the MetaTrader account pages mention a web terminal that no page links.
Opofinance Deposits and Withdrawals
The deposit and withdrawal page lists USDT (TRC20), other cryptocurrencies, Top Change (used for Iranian rials), Volet and Visa or Mastercard cards; the FAQ also names Advcash and Perfect Money, and no page offers bank transfer. Deposits are credited instantly, with minimums of 1 USD for Top Change and Volet and 50 USD for cards, while the USDT minimum is given as 10 USD, 15 USD and 1 USD on different pages. The table charges 2.5% (minimum 1 USD) on card deposits, 3 to 6 USD on crypto withdrawals and 2% (minimum 1 USD) on Volet withdrawals, although banners on the same page say no fees apply and the Farsi version shows 0.15% on crypto withdrawals. The FAQ says there are no limits, yet the table caps card deposits at 5,000 USD and Top Change withdrawals at 100,000 USD.
Withdrawals require a verified account and normally return by the deposit method, only to the client's country of origin (clause 15.3). The broker gives its processing time as 24 hours in the table, 24 working hours in the FAQ and up to one business day in the footer; that is the time to process a request, not the time the money takes to arrive.
Opofinance Support
Live chat runs Monday to Friday from 05:00 to 21:00 GMT and on weekends from 07:00 to 15:00 GMT. Clients can also write to support@opofinance.com, use a contact form the broker says it answers in less than 24 hours, or message the Telegram support account @opofinancesupport. The contact page lists +248 4374099 for the Seychelles office and +44 7312763042 for the Saint Vincent office, with office hours of 8am to 5pm local time.
The site publishes no complaints email, and the Complaints Management Policy the client agreement refers to (clause 17.2) is not among its legal documents. The agreement says complaints are considered within five business days (clause 17.12) but gives OPO GROUP LLC the absolute right to refuse one (clause 17.13), and trade confirmations become conclusive unless disputed in writing within two business days (clause 35.4).
Opofinance Pros and Cons
Pros
- A wide platform choice: MetaTrader 4 and 5, cTrader, TradingView and the OpoTrade app.
- Standard and ECN accounts from 100 USD, with ECN commissions of 4 to 6 USD per lot.
- Social trading, cTrader Copy and a Prop challenge funded with the client's own deposit.
Cons
- The client agreement makes OPO GROUP LLC, which holds none of the group's licences, the counterparty.
- The South African and Australian licences cover intermediary services and advice only, and the Seychelles licence has no investor compensation scheme behind it.
- Contract terms that let the broker void profitable trades and confiscate profits on suspicion of abusive trading, refuse complaints and hold back funds on termination.
- The broker's pages contradict each other on commissions, payment fees, deposit minimums, limits, leverage and swap-free terms.
- Non-trading charges, including transfer costs on withdrawals made without trading and 5 USD a month on dormant accounts.
- No bank transfer, no published complaints procedure and no round-the-clock live chat.
Opofinance Review and Assessment
Opofinance pairs a broad platform line-up and 100 USD entry accounts with a structure that needs careful reading: its group's three licences are confirmed on the registers, but two of them do not cover dealing, and none is held by OPO GROUP LLC in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the company its client agreement places clients with and gives wide discretion over trades, profits and payouts. Before funding an account, the most important step is to confirm which company holds it and to read the client agreement's profit, fee and withdrawal terms, which in several places differ from the broker's own marketing pages.
