Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
Taurex is who it says it is. The problem is how it has marketed its service and treated profitable clients, and one regulator has said so on the record.
- A regulator alert names its own website. The Securities Commission Malaysia lists Taurex, with tradetaurex.com and its Instagram, Facebook and X accounts, for carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities. The entry was added on 10 October 2025.
- The history carries over from Zenfinex. The same list has carried Zenfinex, with zenfinex.com and a Zenfinex Malaysia Facebook page, since 2022. Zenfinex is the same business under its old name, with the same UK company, the same FCA reference and the same Seychelles licensee.
- Malaysian marketing continued after the alert. Archived copies of tradetaurex.com from September and November 2025 did not exclude Malaysia, and the site ran Malay and Vietnamese versions. Malaysia was added to the excluded countries by March 2026, yet the Malay homepage still promotes 1:2000 leverage and fund protection up to $1 million. The English pages no longer mention that cover, and no insurer is named.
- Profits removed after the fact. Since October 2023, Trustpilot reviewers describe profits cancelled for alleged bonus abuse, prohibited trading or pricing errors, often with the account closed and only the deposit returned. Taurex's own replies confirm deductions of USD 15,886.21, USD 14,088.87 and USD 1,798.02. The reports describe one mechanism, cluster in mid-2025 and from May to October 2026, and give amounts and account numbers.
- Review integrity. Trustpilot shows Taurex's rating as unavailable for a breach of its guidelines and says it removed fake reviews.
- Thin protection for retail money. Retail accounts are with Taurex Global Limited in Seychelles, which has no investor compensation scheme. The FCA authorisation covers professional clients and eligible counterparties only, and client payments go through a Cyprus payment agent registered in August 2025. Taurex does not link its licences to the regulators' registers, so we found each entry by searching the registers.
- How the number is set. Across our six scored areas Taurex averages 52% risk. Under our method, a regulator warning list that names the broker's own website sets a minimum of 70%, and so does such a listing on an earlier brand of the same company. Both apply here, so we publish 70%.

E1Securities Commission Malaysia added Taurex to its Investor Alert List on 10 October 2025, naming https://www.tradetaurex.com/ and Taurex's Instagram (trade_taurex), Facebook and X accounts, with the remark: carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities.
E2The same SC list carries an entry for Zenfinex dated 2022, naming https://www.zenfinex.com/ and a Zenfinex Malaysia Facebook page, for the same unlicensed dealing. Zenfinex is Taurex's former brand: same UK company number, same FCA reference, and the Seychelles licensee still lists Zenfinex as a trade name.
E3An archived copy of tradetaurex.com from 1 November 2025, three weeks after the SC alert, excluded only the US, Canada, North Korea, Iran, Belgium and Japan, and the site offered Malay and Vietnamese versions. Malaysia appears in the excluded list by 4 March 2026.
E4Taurex's live Malay-language homepage markets leverage up to 1:2000 and fund protection up to $1 million on a platform regulated by multiple parties, while its own disclaimer says the site is not directed at residents of Malaysia. The English pages no longer mention the $1 million cover, and no insurer is named.

E7FSA Seychelles Securities Dealer list: Taurex Global Limited at Suite 3, Office 4, Third Floor, KB Emporium, Providence, Mahé, with trade names Zenfinex, Taurex and Taurex Prime and websites taurexprime.com, tradetaurex.com and global.mytaurex.com. ModerateUK Companies HouseE10Trustpilot shows Taurex's rating as unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and says it removed a number of fake reviews. 320 reviews remain, 67% five-star and 17% one-star, with 52 posted in the last 12 months.
ModerateTrustpilot, www.tradetaurex.comE11One- and two-star Trustpilot reviews from June 2025 to October 2026 repeatedly describe profits cancelled and accounts closed after profitable trading, over alleged bonus abuse, prohibited trading or failed checks, with only deposits returned. Taurex's public replies confirm profit deductions of USD 15,886.21, USD 14,088.87 and USD 1,798.02 and cite its terms.
E12On the older Zenfinex Trustpilot page, October 2023 reviews describe profits of about EUR 17,800 and USD 29,828.34 removed over alleged pricing errors, with the traders saying they took the matter to the FSA Seychelles.
ModerateTrustpilot, www.zenfinex.comE13Taurex answers complaints publicly. It reports returning deposits to source and paying a delayed withdrawal, credited USD 161 after a server issue, and rebutted a USD 27,000 blocked-deposit claim with account data showing about USD 999 deposited.
E14Registry records date zenfinex.com to 7 March 2018, zenfinex.co.uk to 11 January 2019, tradetaurex.com to 5 January 2023 and taurex.asia to 12 April 2023. zenfinex.co.uk, tradetaurex.com and taurex.asia share the same Cloudflare name servers, and zenfinex.com now redirects to tradetaurex.com.
ModerateRDAP domain registry recordsE15The site disclaimer names Taurex Global Limited (Seychelles) as issuer of the products, says the Dubai affiliate holds a ranking and advice licence and cannot hold client money, and names XRT Capital Solutions Limited in Cyprus as the payment agent receiving client funds.
E16Cyprus registry: XRT CAPITAL SOLUTIONS LTD, HE 479928, registered 27 August 2025. The payment agent that receives client funds is about a year old.
E17The homepage promotes Multi-Regulated Security, trusted by multiple regulators, and withdrawals processed in under 15 minutes, while the retail entity holds one offshore licence and the funding page lists up to 3 business days for bank wires.
E18IOSCO's alert network returns five Taurex items: the SC Malaysia listing of tradetaurex.com, and impostor sites flagged by New Zealand's FMA (taurexyd.com, tradetaurexltd.com), the FSA Seychelles (taurexshl.com) and the FCA (taurexweb.com).
ModerateIOSCO I-SCANE19The UAE Capital Market Authority licensed-company list shows Taurex Financial Services LLC as Active. Taurex describes this licence as category 5, ranking and advice only.
E20The FSCA register shows TAUREX SA (PTY) LTD, FSP 55597, authorised on 30 March 2026 as a Category I intermediary for derivatives only. Taurex's own site does not mention this company, so we have not counted it as this broker's licence.
E21The funding page lists cards, bank wire, Skrill, Neteller, crypto and Apple or Google Pay, and the Taurex app on Google Play has over 100,000 downloads.
E22FX News Group reported on 24 April 2025 that Taurex denied fraud and withdrawal allegations circulating online, and named taurexjp.com, taurex3vvip.com and taurex1vvip.com as sites not connected to it.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
There is a serious case that Taurex is an aggressive offshore broker rather than a scam, and we weighed it.
- It is real and traceable. The UK company dates to 22 November 2017 and has been FCA-authorised since 11 March 2019. The FSA Seychelles lists Taurex Global Limited with the same websites and address, and in April 2026 publicly called it an entity licensed and regulated by the FSA.
- It is a target of clones. The FCA lists five clone domains using Taurex's details, and the FSA Seychelles and New Zealand's FMA have flagged more impostors. Some scam stories online involve these sites, not Taurex.
- The Malaysian listing is about licensing, not fraud. The SC remark is unlicensed dealing in securities. The same list carries several internationally licensed brokers with the identical remark, and Taurex now excludes Malaysian residents in its disclaimer.
- Profit reversals have a stated basis. Taurex cites bonus and abusive-trading clauses that clients accept and says deposits are returned. It reports paying at least one delayed withdrawal, credited USD 161 after a server fault, and rebutted a large blocked-deposit claim with account data.
- Normal broker infrastructure. Card, bank wire, Skrill and Neteller funding, MetaTrader 4 and 5, and an app with over 100,000 Google Play downloads point to a working brokerage.
None of this removes the Malaysian listings or the profit-reversal pattern, which keep the rating in the likely-scam band. It is why we do not call Taurex a clone or a fake.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
The rating would fall with evidence on the two issues that drive it, and rise if the conduct gets worse.
- The Securities Commission Malaysia removing Taurex and Zenfinex from its Investor Alert List, or Taurex obtaining a Malaysian licence.
- Taurex taking down its Malay-language marketing, or naming the insurer and terms behind the $1 million fund-protection claim.
- An independent finding, such as a published FSA Seychelles complaint outcome, that upholds Taurex's profit reversals under clear terms.
- Retail accounts moving to a company supervised by a top-tier regulator with a compensation scheme.
- In the other direction, deposits withheld rather than returned, a demand for fees before a withdrawal, or FSA Seychelles enforcement action would push the figure higher.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Taurex a scam?
Taurex is a real broker group with a verified Seychelles licence and an FCA-authorised UK sister company, so it is not a fake or a clone. We still rate it a likely scam risk at 70%, because Malaysia's Securities Commission lists its website for unlicensed dealing and clients repeatedly report profits removed after the fact. Treat it as a high-risk offshore broker.
Is Taurex a fraud?
We found no regulator or court finding of fraud against Taurex Global Limited or Taurex Limited. The regulator action on record is the Securities Commission Malaysia listing for unlicensed dealing in securities. Separately, clients describe profits cancelled under bonus and abusive-trading clauses, and we assess the risk to retail traders as high.
Is Taurex regulated?
Yes, but retail clients are covered only by an offshore licence. Taurex Global Limited is on the Seychelles FSA's Securities Dealer list under licence SD092. The UK company Taurex Limited is FCA-authorised (FRN 816055) for professional clients and eligible counterparties only, and the Dubai company holds an advice-only CMA licence.
Does Taurex's FCA licence protect retail clients?
No. The FCA register limits Taurex Limited to professional clients and eligible counterparties, and Taurex's own site names the Seychelles company as the issuer of its retail products. A retail account opened through taurex.asia or tradetaurex.com is not covered by the UK Financial Ombudsman Service or the FSCS.
Why is Taurex on the Securities Commission Malaysia alert list?
The SC added Taurex on 10 October 2025 for carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities, naming tradetaurex.com and Taurex's Instagram, Facebook and X accounts. The earlier Zenfinex brand has been on the list for the same reason since 2022. Taurex added Malaysia to its excluded countries by March 2026, but its Malay-language site is still online.
Can I withdraw my money from Taurex?
Many clients report normal withdrawals by card, bank wire, Skrill, Neteller and crypto, and Taurex says it returns deposits to their source. The repeated problem is profits: since 2023, traders report profits cancelled after the fact, sometimes with the account closed. Withdraw profits regularly and avoid bonus offers.
Why do traders say Taurex removed their profits?
Taurex cites bonus abuse, prohibited trading such as hedging under a bonus, and pricing errors, under clauses including 15.1, 29.2, 29.6, 30.1 and 30.2 of its terms. In public replies it confirmed deducting USD 15,886.21, USD 14,088.87 and USD 1,798.02 in profits from three accounts while returning deposits. The traders dispute that they broke any rule.
Is my money safe with Taurex?
Your account is held by an offshore company, and payments are received through XRT Capital Solutions Ltd, a Cyprus payment agent registered in August 2025. The Seychelles licence comes with no investor compensation scheme. The Malay homepage advertises fund protection up to $1 million, but the English pages no longer mention it and no insurer has been named.
Who is behind Taurex?
The FSA Seychelles register lists Nicholas Cooke against Taurex Global Limited, and a 2022 industry report named Nick Cooke as founder of Zenfinex. The operating companies are Taurex Global Limited (Seychelles), Taurex Limited (UK), Taurex Financial Services L.L.C. (Dubai) and a Cyprus payment agent. Beneficial ownership is not published.
How old is Taurex, and is it the same as Zenfinex?
Yes, it is the same business. The UK company was incorporated on 22 November 2017 as Zenfin Limited, became Zenfinex Limited in 2018, was FCA-authorised on 11 March 2019 and was renamed Taurex Limited in March 2025. The retail brand switched to Taurex in 2023, and zenfinex.com, registered in March 2018, now redirects to tradetaurex.com.
Is Taurex a clone, and are there fake Taurex websites?
Taurex itself is not a clone, but it is heavily cloned. The FCA lists zfxtrade.com, taurexweb.com, tradetaurexfx.com, taururchl.com and taureanpal.com as clones, and the FSA Seychelles warned about pc.taurerxus.com, taureanpal.com and taurexgy.com in April 2026. Only use taurex.asia, tradetaurex.com and the portals they link to.
What should I do if I have a problem with Taurex?
Put your complaint in writing to Taurex's compliance team and keep statements, tickets and screenshots. If it is not resolved, complain to the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles, which licenses Taurex Global Limited. If a site or social account using the Taurex name contacted you, check it against the FCA and FSA records and report it to the regulator and your bank.
What should I check before depositing with Taurex?
Confirm that you live in a country Taurex accepts and that your account is with Taurex Global Limited under FSA licence SD092. Read the bonus and abusive-trading clauses before you accept any bonus, and avoid leverage near 1:2000. Start small, and test a withdrawal of profits, not just of your deposit.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
If you trade with Taurex or are considering it, treat it as a high-risk offshore broker.
- Do not open an account if you live in Malaysia or any other country Taurex excludes.
- Decline bonuses. Most reported profit reversals involve bonus or prohibited-trading clauses, so read those terms before you trade.
- Withdraw profits regularly and keep statements, tickets and chat logs.
- Check the domain before you log in. Use taurex.asia, tradetaurex.com and the portals they link to, and ignore anyone who contacts you on social media in Taurex's name.
- For disputes, complain in writing to Taurex's compliance team first, then to the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles.
This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears.
