Register says
In force but under MFSA directives freezing all client transactions, with a Competent Person appointed

Finding

A genuine EU investment services licence held by Trive Financial Services Europe Limited, with authorised branches in Germany and Spain. The licence remains in force but is subject to MFSA directives: no new clients since 1 September 2026, all client transactions frozen since 24 September 2026, and a Competent Person in control of the company's assets since 7 October 2026. Client protection: Normally moderate to good, with EU conduct rules and an investor compensation scheme, but currently constrained because client transactions are frozen and an outside firm controls the company..

Verification note

Confirmed on the MFSA register as TRIVE FINANCIAL SERVICES EUROPE LTD. (Investment Firm). Two hard keys agree on the same record. Key 1 (website domain): the record prints Website https://trive.com, whose registrable domain trive.com equals the domain of the broker mainWebsite https://www.trive.com/int/. Key 2 (corporates[] registration number): the record prints MBR Registration Code C 60473, which normalises to the registrationNumber C60473 of our corporate entity TRIVE FINANCIAL SERVICES MALTA LIMITED (country Malta). The name half of key 4 does NOT close, because our DB spells that entity TRIVE FINANCIAL SERVICES MALTA LIMITED while the register prints TRIVE FINANCIAL SERVICES EUROPE LTD.; the shared company number C 60473 is what ties them. The register records the licence as effective from 12 June 2013.

About this MFSA licence

What this authorisation is, what it establishes, and what it leaves open.

The Malta Financial Services Authority, the MFSA, lists this authorisation under TRIVE FINANCIAL SERVICES EUROPE LTD., a Maltese company carrying registration code C 60473, rather than under the Trive brand. Its Financial Services Register showed Investment Firm with the status Licence Authorised as at this check on 8 October 2026, issued 12 June 2013. No licence number is published for this entry.

The MFSA is Malta's single integrated financial services regulator and its national competent authority under MiFID II, so an Investment Firm authorisation is a statutory investment services licence rather than a company registration or a trade body membership. The catalogue for this entry lists Dealing on own Account, Execution of orders on behalf of the other person, Reception and Transmission of Orders, and Trustee, Custodian or Nominee, each shown for Eligible Counterparties, Professional Clients and Retail Clients.

A register entry records an authorisation and is not a statement about a firm's solvency or conduct. The authorisation sits with the named Maltese company, one of this broker's registered corporate entities, and does not automatically extend to every website operated under the Trive brand.

At this check the register printed a registered address at Floor 5, The Penthouse, Lifestar, Testaferrata Street, Ta Xbiex XBX1403, a business address of Malta, the website https://trive.com and a company registration date of 17 May 2013, which is the company's incorporation rather than a licence date. It printed no telephone number and no expiry date. The record also carried a penalties entry dated 24 September 2026 setting out regulatory directives and an update of 7 October 2026 recording the appointment of a Competent Person over the firm.

This can be repeated at fsr.mfsa.mt by searching the code C 60473 and opening the Investment Firm authorisation. Record pages carry a per session token rather than a fixed address, so the search must be run again each time. The answer would change if the status moved away from Licence Authorised or the authorisation were surrendered or cancelled.

Most Popular Questions

Trive International covers forex, commodity, index, share and cryptocurrency CFDs, with 37 forex pairs and three cryptocurrencies published on its international site. Trading is through MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 accounts.

The international site is operated by Trive International Ltd, registered in the British Virgin Islands at Sea Meadow House, P.O. Box 116, Road Town, Tortola. Other companies carry the brand elsewhere, including Trive Financial Services Malta Limited (registration C60473) and Trive Financial Services Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 159 166 739), and the site at trive.com is run by a separate group company, Trive Financial Services Europe Ltd.

Which company holds an account decides which rules and protections apply to it, so it is worth checking before funding one.

Card, e-wallet and cryptocurrency withdrawals are processed within 24 hours on business days, and bank transfers take 2 to 5 business days. The minimum withdrawal is 20 USD and funds must go back to the method used for the deposit.

Spreads are variable on the international site and only one account type carries a commission: ECN Zero charges 10 USD per lot, while Standard, Cent, VIP and Pro Leverage are commission free. Trive charges no deposit or withdrawal fee of its own, though a bank, card issuer or wallet provider may add one.

Trive International lists five account types: Standard, Cent, ECN Zero, VIP and Pro Leverage.

  • Standard, Cent and VIP run at up to 1:500 leverage and are commission free, with VIP requiring 2,000 USD to open.
  • ECN Zero also goes up to 1:500 and charges 10 USD commission per lot.
  • Pro Leverage is commission free and goes up to 1:2000.

Trive International publishes a minimum deposit for only one of its account types: the VIP account starts at 2,000 USD. Its Standard, Cent, ECN Zero and Pro Leverage accounts are listed without a stated minimum, so the amount needed to start on those tiers is not published on the international site.

Trive International's support is reached by live chat during business hours, by email at support_int@trive.com, and by phone on +44 1460944002, with separate lines for India, South Korea, China, Germany and Türkiye. A WhatsApp number is also published.

Published service hours are 24 hours a day, five days a week, in English. The brand's international accounts on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok are linked from its own site.

Trive International publishes a maximum of 1:500 on its Standard, Cent, ECN Zero and VIP accounts, and up to 1:2000 on its Pro Leverage account. Leverage is set by account type on the international site, so the figure that applies depends on the tier you open.

Trive's international site funds accounts by Visa and Mastercard, bank transfer, the Skrill, Neteller and Sticpay wallets, and Tether USDT on the ERC20, TRC20 and BEP20 networks plus Binance Pay. Trive itself charges no deposit or withdrawal fee, although a card issuer, bank or payment provider may.

Withdrawals must return to the method used for the deposit and start from 20 USD. Card, wallet and cryptocurrency withdrawals are processed within 24 hours on business days, while bank transfers take 2 to 5 business days.

Trive offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 trading platforms, both available on desktop and other supported devices. These platforms provide advanced charting, automated trading options, and multi-asset trading capabilities suitable for Forex, stocks, and derivatives.

Trive International Ltd operates from the British Virgin Islands and publishes licence SIBA/L/14/1066 from the BVI Financial Services Commission, a claim that is unconfirmed on the regulator's own register. Other group companies are presented under the Malta Financial Services Authority, South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSP 27231) and the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (GB21026295).

The Australian licence associated with the brand, AFS licence 424122, is held by Trive Financial Services Australia Pty Ltd and ASIC's register shows it ceased on 1 July 2026. A licence held by one company in a group does not cover an account opened with another, so check which entity your account is with.

Licence CRES IF 5048 was issued by Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), the financial authority for Malta.
Trive holds this MFSA licence. A licence on record means the authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement.
We located this entry on the MFSA register. Note that confirming a register ENTRY is not the same as confirming a live licence — the register’s own wording on this page is what states its current standing.
The MFSA register prints it under TRIVE FINANCIAL SERVICES EUROPE LTD., not Trive. Licences are often held by a subsidiary rather than the trading brand, which is why searching a register for the brand alone can return nothing.
Wikilix rates MFSA tier 2: a well-established regime with real supervision, usually with lower compensation limits than a tier-1 authority.
This page links straight to the MFSA register. Search it for CRES IF 5048, and for the name TRIVE FINANCIAL SERVICES EUROPE LTD. rather than the trading brand.
Trive has 5 other licences on record with Wikilix, across 5 jurisdictions. They are listed further down this page.
