Independent safety report

Is WB Invest a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Updated August 17, 2026
Offshore-licensed broker with an unverifiable payout record

WB Invest is not a proven scam. It holds a real Seychelles licence that we confirmed on the regulator's own register, but its offshore-only status and near-invisible public track record mean we cannot call it safe either.

  • The Seychelles FSA register lists the operating company, Legacy Capital Ltd, together with the exact website, address, phone and email that WB Invest publishes. Everything matches.
  • This is not a clone. No regulator warning names WB Invest or wbinvest.com anywhere we looked.
  • The licence is offshore and low-tier. There is no compensation scheme and no meaningful protection for your deposit if the firm fails.
  • We found only three independent reviews in total, two of them about money. That is almost no trace for a broker whose website has been running since 2021.
  • We could not find a single confirmed report of a client being paid out, which is the one thing that would settle the main question.

Regulation

6/10 · High

A genuine Securities Dealer licence, SD229, confirmed on the Seychelles FSA register and correctly matched to this operation, but offshore and low-tier with no compensation scheme and no self-published verification link.

Identity & transparency

3/10 · Low

Legal entity, registered address, phone and email all match the regulator's record exactly, which is strong; marked down for undisclosed ownership, no named leadership and an undisclosed operational link to another broker group.

Withdrawals & conduct

4/10 · Moderate

Two isolated fund-integrity reports, one alleging a loss of $2,135.00 and one describing delayed withdrawals, on a single platform with different mechanisms and no checkable detail; no advance-fee demand found.

Reputation

5/10 · Moderate

Almost no independent footprint: no Trustpilot profile, no Reddit discussion, an app with no ratings and only three third-party reviews averaging 3.6 out of 5, which leaves the payout record unverifiable.

Website claims

4/10 · Moderate

Honest about its offshore licence and claims no false founding year or tier-one regulator, but advertises an unevidenced $1,000,000 client-funds insurance and leverage up to 1:2000.

Operational history

3/10 · Low

Main domain registered July 2021 giving roughly five years of website history, but the contracting entity could not be dated because the Seychelles registry is closed, so the figure is an upper bound.

Licences the broker publishes

Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA)

VerifiedTier 3Limited relevance
A genuine Securities Dealer licence issued under the Seychelles Securities Act 2007, permitting the firm to deal in securities as principal or agent. We confirmed the licensed entity on the FSA's own register, where it is listed with this broker's website and contact details. It is real regulation, but offshore and light: there is no investor compensation scheme and limited practical recourse if client funds are not returned.
Protection: Low. No compensation scheme and no deposit guarantee. Disputes fall under Seychelles law and Seychelles courts.Official register

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We landed on high risk rather than scam, and also rather than safe. Here is the reasoning in order of weight.

  • The licence is real and it belongs to this operation. We opened the Seychelles FSA register of licensed Securities Dealers and found LEGACY CAPITAL LTD. The entry carries the address CT House, Office 9C, Providence, Mahe, the phone +248 4263714, the email [email protected] and the website https://www.wbinvest.com. That is the identity check passed on all three legs: name, domain and contacts. Very few suspect brokers survive this test, and it rules out the clone theory outright.
  • No regulator has flagged them. We searched for warnings against the brand, the domain and the legal entity and found none. We want to be precise about one thing: the UK FCA has published a warning against a firm called WB TRADING, at wbtrading.co.uk. That is a different company with a different website and we have not counted it against WB Invest. The same goes for Winvest Brokers and Legacy Capital Management, which are also unrelated firms with similar names.
  • But the licence is worth much less than it sounds. The Seychelles FSA is a low-tier offshore regulator. There is no investor compensation scheme. If this firm fails or refuses to pay you, a Seychelles licence gives you very little practical recourse, and you would be pursuing the matter in Seychelles courts under Seychelles law.
  • The public trace is unusually thin. There is no Trustpilot profile for the domain at all. We found no discussion on Reddit. The mobile app has passed 500 installs and carries no ratings. In total we located three third-party reviews. For an operation whose website has been live for five years, that is a very small footprint, and it means there is almost nothing independent to confirm that clients get their money back.
  • Two of those three reviews are about money. One user reported being scammed out of $2,135.00 in February 2026. Another, in November 2025, said withdrawals required extra documents, funds were delayed and support was dismissive. The third was about the platform freezing, which is a service complaint, not a money complaint. We tested these against our pattern rules and they do not form a pattern: they describe different failures, they sit on a single platform, they are spread across four months and none carries a date, ticket number or transaction detail we could check. So we have recorded them as unconfirmed and they carry moderate weight only. They are not enough to call this a scam, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. They are also not nothing.
  • The firm does not link its own licence to the register. A regulated broker can normally send you straight to the regulator's record. WB Invest publishes its licence number but no verification link, so we had to locate the register entry ourselves.
  • One claim we could not stand up. The site advertises $1,000,000 insurance on client funds. No insurer is named and no policy is evidenced, so treat that as marketing until proven.

On age, one caveat matters. The main domain dates to July 2021 and the client portal domain to October 2022, so the website leg of the track record is about five years. We could not date Legacy Capital Ltd itself because the Seychelles company registry is not open to public search. Five years is therefore an upper bound on the operating history, resting on the domain alone.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case for WB Invest being a legitimate, ordinary offshore broker is genuinely reasonable, and we tested it seriously.

  • The regulator's own register ties the licence to this exact website. That is the single hardest thing for a fake broker to arrange, and it is the strongest evidence in this report. It points towards a real, licensed business.
  • Every detail the broker publishes matches the register. The entity name, the street address, the phone number and the email are identical across the site and the regulator's record. Deceptive operations almost always show a crack somewhere in that chain. This one does not.
  • The broker makes no false regulatory claims. It does not pretend to hold a UK, Cyprus or Australian licence. It states plainly that it is a Seychelles company under a Seychelles licence and that it does not serve the USA or the EEA. That is honest positioning.
  • It advertises no founding year at all, so there is no inflated history to catch it on. Many suspect brokers claim a decade of trading on a two-year-old domain. This one claims nothing.
  • There is an established operator behind the technology. The mobile app is published by WIT IT Solutions Ltd, a Cyprus company registered in May 2018 that also operates the website of the long-running Windsor Brokers group. Whatever the exact corporate relationship, this is not an anonymous shell built last month.
  • The complaints could easily be noise. Three reviews is a tiny sample, the reviewer locations are scattered, and a single unhappy trader alleging a loss is not evidence of theft. Traders lose money at honest brokers too.

What stops us going further is simple. To certify a broker as low risk we look for evidence that withdrawals actually work, and here there is none in either direction. The absence of a payout record is not proof of wrongdoing, but on an offshore licence with no compensation scheme, it is the difference between safe and unproven.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

This verdict is not fixed. Concrete things that would move it.

  • Towards safe: a body of independent reviews from real clients confirming that withdrawals are paid on time. Even a modest Trustpilot profile with a normal spread of experiences would substantially raise our confidence.
  • Towards safe: the broker publishing a direct verification link to its Seychelles FSA register entry, and naming the insurer behind the $1,000,000 client-funds claim.
  • Towards safe: a public, verifiable statement of the corporate relationship between Legacy Capital Ltd and the Windsor group whose IT company builds its app, along with an incorporation date for Legacy Capital Ltd.
  • Towards scam: three or more detailed withdrawal-refusal reports, on at least two different platforms, describing the same mechanism with amounts and dates.
  • Towards scam: any credible report that a client was asked to pay a tax, fee or insurance charge before their funds would be released. That single pattern would change this report immediately.
  • Towards scam: a warning list entry from any regulator naming wbinvest.com or Legacy Capital Ltd, or the Seychelles FSA suspending or cancelling licence SD229.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

15 questions
Is WB Invest a scam?

We found no evidence that WB Invest is a scam. It holds a genuine Seychelles licence that we confirmed on the regulator's own register, and no regulator has issued a warning against it. However, we also could not confirm that clients reliably get their withdrawals, so we rate it as high risk and unverified rather than safe.

Is WB Invest regulated?

Yes, but only offshore. Legacy Capital Ltd, which trades as WB Invest, holds Securities Dealer licence SD229 from the Seychelles Financial Services Authority. We opened the FSA register and found the company listed with the wbinvest.com website. This is a real licence, but Seychelles is a low-tier jurisdiction.

Is my money safe with WB Invest?

Your deposit is not protected by any compensation scheme. A Seychelles licence carries no investor compensation fund, so if the firm fails or refuses to pay, there is no safety net and you would be pursuing the matter under Seychelles law. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.

Can I withdraw my money from WB Invest?

We could not establish this either way, which is our main concern. We found no confirmed reports of successful payouts, and one user in November 2025 reported that withdrawals required extra documents and that funds were delayed. Test a small withdrawal before building a balance.

Who owns WB Invest?

WB Invest is the trading name of Legacy Capital Ltd, a Seychelles company registered at CT House, Office 9C, Providence, Mahe. Beneficial ownership is not disclosed publicly and the Seychelles company registry is not open to public search, so we could not identify the individuals behind it.

How old is WB Invest?

The main website domain was registered in July 2021 and the client portal domain in October 2022, so the operation is around five years old on the website measure. We could not date Legacy Capital Ltd itself, so five years is an upper bound rather than a confirmed figure.

Is WB Invest connected to Windsor Brokers?

There is an operational link but no disclosed corporate one. The WB Invest mobile app is published by WIT IT Solutions Ltd, a Cyprus company that also operates the Windsor Brokers group website, and its developer contact is a windsorbrokers.com address. Neither WB Invest nor Windsor Brokers lists the other as a group company.

What is a Seychelles FSA licence worth?

It is a real licence but a weak one. The Seychelles FSA is a tier-three offshore regulator with lighter supervision than the UK FCA, Australia's ASIC or Cyprus CySEC. It requires capital and reporting, but it offers no compensation scheme and limited practical protection for client deposits.

Is WB Invest a clone of another broker?

No. We ran the full clone check and it passed. The Seychelles register lists Legacy Capital Ltd with the exact website, address, phone and email that WB Invest publishes, so the licence belongs to this operation and is not borrowed from another firm.

Is WB Invest the same as WB Trading?

No, and this matters. The UK FCA has published a warning against WB TRADING at wbtrading.co.uk, which is a completely different company. We did not count that warning against WB Invest. Winvest Brokers and Legacy Capital Management are also unrelated firms with confusingly similar names.

Are the complaints about WB Invest serious?

They are worth knowing about but they do not form a pattern. We found three reviews in total: one alleging a loss of $2,135.00, one about delayed withdrawals and document demands, and one about the platform freezing. They describe different problems, sit on a single platform and lack checkable detail, so we treat them as unconfirmed.

Why does WB Invest have so few reviews?

We do not know, and that is itself a finding. There is no Trustpilot profile for the domain, no Reddit discussion and the mobile app has only passed 500 installs with no ratings. A five-year-old brokerage with a real client base normally leaves more of a trace than this.

Does WB Invest accept clients in the UK, EU or USA?

No. The broker states that it offers services worldwide except in the USA and the EEA. If you are in the UK or the European Union, you would not receive the protections that a locally regulated broker provides.

What should I check before depositing with WB Invest?

Open the Seychelles FSA register and confirm Legacy Capital Ltd is still listed. Read the withdrawal terms and any bonus conditions in full. Deposit a small amount first and successfully withdraw it before committing more. Ignore the advertised leverage of up to 1:2000.

What do I do if WB Invest will not pay me?

Put your complaint in writing to the broker first and keep every reply. Then complain to the Seychelles Financial Services Authority, which issued licence SD229. If you paid by card or bank transfer, contact your bank promptly about a chargeback or recall. Never pay an upfront fee to anyone promising to recover your funds.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

If you are thinking about depositing, treat this as a higher risk offshore broker and act accordingly.

  • Check the licence yourself. Open the Seychelles FSA register of Securities Dealers and look for LEGACY CAPITAL LTD before you send anything.
  • Understand what the licence does not give you. There is no compensation scheme. If the money goes, no regulator will make you whole.
  • Do not deposit more than you can afford to lose outright, and test a small withdrawal early, before you build a balance.
  • Ignore the leverage. Rates as high as 1:2000 are a marketing device and a fast route to losing your capital, not a benefit.
  • Be careful with the no-deposit bonus offers promoted for this brand on affiliate sites. Read the withdrawal conditions attached to any bonus before accepting it.
  • If you are in the UK, the EU or Australia, note that this firm does not serve the EEA or the USA and gives you none of the protections your local regulated brokers do.
  • If you have already been refused a withdrawal, gather your dates, amounts and correspondence and complain in writing to the Seychelles FSA, which is the authority that issued SD229.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears.
