Independent safety report

Is Zenith a scam?

Likely scamHIGH confidence
Updated September 22, 2026
Unlicensed broker with false regulatory claims, now defunct

Zenith Wealthex advertised a US regulatory registration that does not exist, and the operation is now defunct. The brand took deposits for MetaTrader 5 forex trading without holding a forex licence from any regulator, anywhere. We assess the risk of fraud as high.

  • The NFA registration number it advertised, 0530061, returns nothing on the NFA's own BASIC register. Searches for the firm name return nothing either.
  • Its second credential, a Canadian FINTRAC registration, is real but covers virtual currency only, never forex dealing, and it has been marked Ceased since 1 June 2021.
  • The UK company behind the brand filed dormant accounts for the year to 31 March 2021, the same period clients reported depositing money and failing to get it back.
  • Both companies are gone: the UK entity was struck off in August 2022, the Canadian one dissolved for non-compliance in November 2023.
  • zenithwealthex.com no longer resolves. Anyone contacted today by someone using this brand is not dealing with the original business.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Critical
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

9/10 · Critical

No forex licence anywhere while taking MetaTrader 5 deposits, plus an advertised NFA number that returns zero results on the NFA's own register.

Identity & transparency

9/10 · Critical

Serviced-office registered address, no phone or office address published, sole director resident in a third country, and a New York founding claim contradicted by UK and Canadian incorporation records.

Withdrawals & conduct

6/10 · High

Three fund-integrity reports with specific amounts and dates describing the same failure, withdrawals deducted but never received, but confined to one platform so the pattern is credible rather than confirmed.

Reputation

7/10 · High

Every independent source that covers this domain rates it unregulated and high risk, with no positive client reviews found, though the overall footprint is small.

Website claims

9/10 · Critical

Published a non-existent NFA registration number and presented a lapsed anti-money-laundering registration as forex regulation.

Operational history

7/10 · High

Corporate record verified from March 2020, but the operation churned: dormant accounts filed, both entities struck off, registration ceased and the domain deleted.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: Zenith, trading as Zenith Wealthex
  • Legal entity: Zenith Wealthex Global Limited, UK company 12522271, incorporated 17 March 2020, dissolved 23 August 2022. A second company of the same name existed in Canada, federal corporation 1204296-7, incorporated 5 May 2020 and dissolved 17 November 2023.
  • Registered: 50 Grosvenor Hill, Mayfair, London W1K 3QT, a serviced office address. The Canadian entity used 4300 Steeles Avenue, Markham, Ontario.
  • Website: zenithwealthex.com, which no longer resolves
  • Only licence: none. No forex licence was ever held. The two credentials advertised were an NFA number with no register entry and a lapsed Canadian anti-money-laundering registration.
  • Offers: forex on MetaTrader 5, floating spreads, minimum deposit around 100 US dollars, card and wire funding
  • Not accepted: marketing was aimed at Chinese-speaking clients; no public restricted-country list was published
  • Age claim: the site described itself as founded in New York. Both of its companies were in fact incorporated in 2020, in London and Ontario.

Regulation

No proof found

Proof of regulation on an official register: No

We could not confirm this broker on any genuine regulator’s register.

Licences the broker publishes

National Futures Association (NFA)

UnverifiedTier 1
The US self-regulatory body for futures and retail forex. Retail forex dealing to US residents requires RFED or FCM registration. The number this broker advertised does not appear on the NFA's public BASIC register, and neither does the firm name.
Protection: None. There is no register entry, so no NFA oversight, no arbitration route and no protection of any kind applies.Official register

Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC)

Ceased 1 June 2021, and limited to virtual currency servicesNot a forex licence
A Canadian anti-money-laundering registration for money services businesses. FINTRAC states that registration does not mean it licenses or endorses a business. This entry covers virtual currency services only, not foreign exchange dealing, and it ceased on 1 June 2021.
Protection: None for a trading client. An anti-money-laundering registration does not authorise forex dealing, does not segregate client money and carries no compensation scheme.Official register
Canada's FINTRAC money services business registry showing registration M20768391 for Zenith Wealthex Global Limited as Ceased since 1 June 2021, covering virtual currency only.
The NFA BASIC register returning zero results for Zenith Wealthex, confirming no US registration exists for the firm.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

Two of the three things this broker told clients about its regulation do not survive a look at the registers themselves.

  • The US registration does not exist. We searched the NFA's BASIC register by the exact number advertised, 0530061, and by firm name in two forms. All three searches returned zero results, and the register states plainly that this means a firm that is not and has not been registered with the CFTC. A number that resolves to nobody is a fabricated credential, not a clerical slip.
  • The Canadian registration was real, but it was never what it was presented as. FINTRAC's own register carries entry M20768391 in the exact name Zenith Wealthex Global Limited. It authorises virtual currency services, not foreign exchange dealing, and it has carried the status Ceased since 1 June 2021. FINTRAC also states that registering does not mean it licenses or endorses a business. Presenting that as regulatory cover for a forex brokerage misrepresents both its scope and its standing.
  • The UK company declared it was doing no business at all. Companies House shows dormant company accounts made up to 31 March 2021. Over that same window clients were describing deposits and blocked withdrawals. A dormant filing and a live cashier cannot both be true.
  • Clients reported money not coming back. Three fund-integrity accounts from December 2020 to May 2021 describe the same failure: a withdrawal deducted from the MetaTrader 5 balance but never received, and in one case a 20,000 US dollar deposit where positions could not be closed and the remaining balance could not be withdrawn. The detail is specific and the mechanism is consistent, though these accounts sit on a single platform, so we treat the pattern as credible rather than confirmed.
  • The operation has since disappeared. The UK company was struck off in August 2022 and the Canadian one dissolved for non-compliance in November 2023. The domain has been deleted and does not resolve.

No regulator has published a warning naming this domain or this entity, so we stop short of calling it confirmed. Several unrelated firms trade on the Zenith name and some of them do carry FCA warnings. Those are different businesses and none of their history is counted here.

One note on dates. The corporate record runs from March 2020, so on paper the track record is around six years, but the trading life was far shorter. The evidence points to an operation that solicited deposits for roughly a year and a half before its credentials lapsed and its companies were wound up.

  • E1The NFA registration number advertised by this broker, 0530061, returns zero results on the NFA BASIC register. Firm-name searches for 'Zenith Wealthex' and for 'Wealthex' also return zero results. The register states that this means a firm that is not and has not been registered with the CFTC.

All three are confined to a single platform.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case against this broker is strong but not airtight, and the fair points are these.

  • One credential was genuine. The FINTRAC registration was really obtained, in the company's real name, and it sits on Canada's own public register. This was not an operation that invented every document it showed.
  • The companies were real. Both the UK and the Canadian entities were properly incorporated at public registries, with a named director on file. That is more corporate substance than a pure front usually bothers with.
  • No regulator has named it. We found no warning notice, no enforcement action and no fraud-related court record naming zenithwealthex.com or Zenith Wealthex Global Limited. The FCA notices that mention Zenith concern other, unrelated firms.
  • The complaint base is thin and one-sided. Three accounts on a single platform is a narrow evidence base. Competitors do plant complaints, and we could not corroborate these across a second independent source.
  • An alternative reading exists. A poorly run start-up could lapse its registration, fail to file real accounts and collapse, without ever intending to take client money. The dormant filing would then be incompetence rather than concealment.
  • Nobody can be harmed by the original site today. The domain is gone and both companies are dissolved, so the immediate risk now is someone reviving the brand name rather than the original business.

What defeats the innocent reading is the NFA number. A lapsed registration is carelessness. Publishing a registration number that resolves to no one, on a site taking deposits, is a deliberate act.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

We would revise this assessment on any of the following.

  • An NFA BASIC entry showing registration 0530061, or any NFA registration, held by Zenith Wealthex Global Limited. That would refute our central finding and move the verdict sharply.
  • Evidence that the firm never published the NFA number itself, meaning the claim originated with a third party rather than the broker.
  • Documentation that client balances were returned in full when the platform wound down, for example payout confirmations covering the December 2020 to May 2021 period.
  • A credible second-platform record showing the withdrawal complaints were planted or were resolved.
  • Conversely, a regulator warning naming zenithwealthex.com, an enforcement action, or corroborated fund-integrity complaints on a second independent platform would take this to a confirmed finding.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

13 questions
Is Zenith a scam?

On the evidence, it shows the hallmarks of one. Zenith Wealthex advertised a US NFA registration number that does not exist on the NFA register, and it took forex deposits without a licence from any regulator. Clients reported deposits that could not be withdrawn. The operation is now defunct.

Is Zenith a fraud?

No regulator or court has made a finding of fraud against Zenith Wealthex Global Limited, so we do not state that as fact. What we can state is that it published a regulatory registration number that resolves to nobody, and that clients reported money not being returned. We assess the risk of fraud as high.

Is Zenith Wealthex regulated?

No. It held no forex licence from any regulator. It advertised an NFA registration that does not appear on the NFA's public register, and a Canadian FINTRAC registration that covered virtual currency only and has been marked Ceased since 1 June 2021.

Was the NFA registration real?

No. We searched the NFA BASIC register by the advertised number 0530061 and by the firm name in two forms. All three searches returned zero results. The register states this means a firm that is not and has not been registered with the CFTC.

What was the Canadian FINTRAC registration worth?

Very little for a trading client. FINTRAC registration is an anti-money-laundering formality, and FINTRAC states it does not license or endorse the business. This particular entry covered virtual currency services, not forex dealing, and it ceased on 1 June 2021.

Can I still withdraw my money from Zenith?

Almost certainly not. The website no longer resolves and both companies behind the brand have been dissolved, the UK one in August 2022 and the Canadian one in November 2023. There is no operating entity left to pay a withdrawal.

Who owned Zenith Wealthex?

The UK company, number 12522271, recorded a single director, Wu Yang, a Chinese national resident in Japan. The registered office was a serviced office address at 50 Grosvenor Hill in Mayfair, London.

How old was the company?

The UK company was incorporated on 17 March 2020 and the Canadian one on 5 May 2020. The website's first certificate dates from 26 May 2020. So the business began in 2020, not earlier, despite describing itself as founded in New York.

Was Zenith a clone of another broker?

No. We found no evidence it borrowed another company's licence number, name or address. The NFA number it used does not belong to another firm; it belongs to nobody at all.

Why do some Zenith firms have FCA warnings?

Because Zenith is a common brand word and several unrelated operations use it. The FCA has warned about Zenith Trade, Zenith Trading Capital and others. Those are different businesses from Zenith Wealthex, and we have not counted their history here.

What should I do if I lost money with Zenith Wealthex?

Collect your deposit records, trading statements and messages now. Report the loss to your local police and to your bank or card issuer. Be aware that deposits from 2020 and 2021 fall well outside chargeback windows.

Someone contacted me offering to recover my Zenith funds. Is that safe?

No. Treat any upfront-fee recovery offer as a second scam. Victims of collapsed brokers are routinely targeted again by people who take a fee and disappear. Legitimate help does not require payment in advance.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Take the licence number the broker gives you and search for it on the regulator's own register, not on the broker's website. Confirm three things: that the entry exists, that the licence permits forex dealing, and that it names the same company that will hold your money.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat this brand as closed and unsafe.

  • Do not send money to anyone presenting themselves as Zenith Wealthex. The original companies are dissolved and the website is gone, so any approach using this name today is someone trading on a dead brand.
  • If you hold a balance from 2020 or 2021, gather your deposit records, MetaTrader statements and correspondence now, while you still have them.
  • Report losses to the police service where you live, and to your card issuer or bank. Card deposits from that period are long past chargeback windows, but a documented report still matters.
  • Ignore anyone who contacts you offering to recover these funds for an upfront fee. Victims of collapsed brokers are targeted a second time by recovery scams, and no legitimate recovery service asks for payment in advance.
  • Before depositing with any broker, search the regulator's own register for the exact licence number the broker gives you, and check that the licence permits forex dealing and names the same company that will hold your money.
