A full MiFID II investment firm licence issued in an EU member state. It requires client money to be held separately from the firm's own funds, brings negative balance protection for retail clients, and includes membership of the Cyprus Investor Compensation Fund, which covers eligible retail claims up to 20,000 euro if the firm fails. Client protection: Moderate. Genuine European supervision with compensation cover, but only for clients who contract with the Cyprus company.. Effective: 03 Feb 2020.
