KNF is classed as an offshore regime. An offshore registration can be entirely legitimate, but it typically means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.

Most Popular Questions

The operating company has been on the Polish National Court Register since 21 April 2004 and dates its supervisory authorisation to 26 April 2004, so it has more than twenty years of continuous corporate history under the same registration number. The brand was renamed after OANDA Global Corporation took full ownership in March 2021.

  • Leverage is limited to 1:30 for retail clients, so this is not a venue for high-leverage strategies
  • The site, the documents and most support are in Polish, and funding is quoted in PLN through Polish channels
  • Withdrawal fees, times and limits are not published on the funding page and have to be read out of the fee tables
  • The better spreads and the included TradingView plans are gated behind balances of 10,000 PLN and 50,000 PLN
  • The firm discloses that 76% of retail investor accounts lose money trading CFDs with it

No. On the evidence WIKILIX opened, this is a real, long-established Polish brokerage house with a company record on the national court register going back to April 2004, a named registered office in central Warsaw, a full set of published legal documents, a staffed support department with several direct numbers, and an authorisation reference it publishes on every page. That is the opposite profile from a fraudulent operation. The genuine risks here are commercial, not existential: the firm's own disclosure that 76% of its retail CFD accounts lose money is the number to take seriously.

Yes. The site offers a demo account with 50,000 PLN of virtual funds, reachable from the homepage and the account pages, giving access to the same instrument range across forex, index, commodity, crypto, share and ETF CFDs.

The onboarding form accepts residents of Poland and, on testing, of the EU and EEA jurisdictions plus the United Kingdom, which appear as a priority block in its residence selector. Selecting the United States sends the applicant to a different group onboarding site rather than continuing, so this entity does not appear to onboard US residents. The site's legal-information page adds that use of its products may be restricted or prohibited for some parties under local law, without naming countries. If you are outside the EU, check before you apply.

The firm states that it participates in the compensation scheme administered by Krajowy Depozyt Papierow Wartosciowych S.A., the Polish central securities depository. That is a real investor-compensation arrangement of the kind an onshore European investment firm is required to belong to, and it is one of the substantive differences between this broker and an offshore CFD shop. It protects against firm failure, not against trading losses.

Spreads are variable and quoted live on the site, with EUR/USD showing around 0.9 pips at the time of this review. The firm advertises no commission and no daily financing cost on CFDs on US and major German indices and on oil and gas, and a 0 PLN minimum commission for opening share and ETF CFD positions. Premium and Elite balances get spreads up to 30% lower. There is no account opening or maintenance fee provided at least one transaction is made per year.

The broker's deposit page covers deposits only and publishes no withdrawal times, fees or limits, so WIKILIX records none rather than guess. Withdrawals are requested through a published withdrawal order form, and the charges are set out in the service fee table in the documents section. If withdrawal cost matters to your decision, read that table before funding.

Five channels are published, all Polish. Visa and Mastercard cards are free with a 250,000 PLN limit. Bank transfer is free and available in PLN, USD and EUR with no limit. mBank transfer is free with no limit. Autopay is free except through mBank and Place z Orange, where 2% applies. Przelewy24 carries a 2% fee. For the Stocks service the separately published table of fees applies.

More than 1,700 CFD instruments: about 70 CFDs on forex, indices and commodities, over 1,600 share CFDs, 13 cryptocurrency CFDs and around 40 ETF CFDs. A separate cash brokerage account covers physical shares and ETFs from the Warsaw exchange and foreign markets. The firm also publishes a full instrument specification document with the per-instrument conditions.

  • The broker's own OANDA TMS mobile application, on iOS and Android
  • MetaTrader 5, in desktop, browser and mobile builds, with an installer published by the broker itself
  • TradingView, with an Essential plan included for Premium balances and a Plus plan for Elite balances, for up to 12 months

Retail leverage is capped at 1:30 on all three CFD tiers, which is what European rules allow for retail clients. Anyone wanting more has to be reclassified: the firm publishes separate professional-client and experienced-client routes, which carry different margin rates and a lower level of regulatory protection.

The site publishes no account-opening minimum at all. The figures that appear on the account comparison are balance thresholds that decide which tier you sit in, not entry fees: Standard below 10,000 PLN, Premium from 10,000 to 50,000 PLN, and Elite above 50,000 PLN. So you can open an account without a stated minimum, but the reduced spreads and the included TradingView plans only start at 10,000 PLN.

The operating entity is OANDA TMS Brokers S.A., a Polish joint-stock company registered under KRS 0000204776, NIP 5262759131, REGON 015715078, with share capital of 3,537,560 PLN fully paid. Its registered office is Rondo Daszynskiego 1, 00-843 Warszawa. The company states on its About page that it has been wholly owned by OANDA Global Corporation since March 2021, which is why the brand now reads OANDA TMS rather than TMS Brokers alone.

Yes. The operator, OANDA TMS Brokers S.A., states on its own legal-information page and in the footer of every page that it is supervised by the Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, under an authorisation dated 26 April 2004 with the reference KPWiG-4021-54-1/2004. That is onshore European supervision, not an offshore registration. One caveat worth stating plainly: WIKILIX confirmed the company itself on the Polish National Court Register but did not open the supervisor's own public register in this review, so the licence reference above is the firm's own published claim rather than a register reading.

Licence KPWiG-4021-54-1/2004 was issued by Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), the financial authority for Poland.
OANDA TMS Brokers holds this KNF licence. A licence on record means the authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement.
Nobody at Wikilix has looked this entry up on the KNF register yet, so treat it as claimed rather than confirmed. That is a gap in our coverage, not a finding against the licence.
Wikilix rates KNF tier 2: a well-established regime with real supervision, usually with lower compensation limits than a tier-1 authority.
Yes, KNF is classed as an offshore regime. That can be a legitimate registration, but it usually means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.
