Firm rules

Expert Advisors (EAs)

  • Traders may use EAs, scripts, and indicators.
  • Copy trading is not allowed.
  • EAs engaging in price or latency arbitrage, or other prohibited trading behaviors, are strictly forbidden (refer to the applicable terms and conditions).

News Trading

  • No opening or closing of trades within a 4-minute window (2 minutes before and 2 minutes after major news releases) excluding stop loss and take profit orders triggered.

Copy Trading

  • Not allowed between multiple accounts or within the OANDA Prop Trader program.
  • Copying to non-OANDA accounts and third parties is permitted.

Inactivity Rule

  • Inactivity over 30 calendar days is a hard breach: users who are inactive (no trades placed) for 30 consecutive days lose Challenge account access, and the account is closed.

Min Trade Size

  • 0.01 lot for FX, Metals
  • 1 lot for 1 CFD index
