Consistency rules
Consistency Rules
This is a generic template for prop firm consistency rules. The definitive rules may vary by program. Please refer to the specific firm's policy.
- Risk management: maintain risk per trade and daily loss limits as defined by the program.
- Drawdown controls: respect maximum cumulative drawdown over the evaluation period.
- Profit target: achieve the required net profit within the evaluation window.
- Trading plan adherence: follow the approved trading plan and avoid reckless behavior.
- Trade reporting: maintain accurate and timely trade logs for verification.
- Compliance and ethics: no use of prohibited strategies (e.g., spoofing, manipulation, or illegal activities).
Failure to meet consistency rules may result in disqualification or delays in funding.
Firm rules
News Trading
- News trading is allowed during the Challenge Phase but prohibited on Live Simulated Accounts.
- Trades opened or closed within 3 minutes before or after high-risk news will result in profit removal for those trades. This is a soft breach and does not terminate the account. Trades can still be held through the violation window.
- If a trade is opened more than 3 hours before the news release, profits will count and not be removed, even if closed in the 6-minute window.
Minimum Profitable Days Requirement
- Applies only to 1-step, 2-step and 3-step evaluations (not live simulated accounts).
- Traders must achieve at least 3 profitable days (each generating 0.5%+ of the initial balance).
- Failure to meet this does not cause a breach but delays passing the challenge.
Copy Trading
- Copy trading and the use of EAs/Bots copy trading is Allowed, but only for your own trades, copying signals, family, or other traders is not permitted. Arbitrage, latency exploitation, or group trading is strictly prohibited. Violations can result in account closure, profit forfeiture, permanent bans.
- See Details: https://intercom.help/SeacrestFunded/en/articles/6462422-copy-trading
30-Day Inactivity Rule
- You must place at least one trade every 30 days to keep your account active. This timer starts from the time of purchase, not from your first trade.
EAs
- Expert Advisors (EAs): Allowed on MT5 only, but Duplikium and arbitrage-based methods are strictly prohibited. Traders must use unique EAs, avoid HFT, and follow fair trading practices. Any violations can lead to account closure, loss of profits, and a permanent ban, with all activity closely monitored by the risk team.

Leverage & Risk Limits (Funded account only)
- Maxing out leverage or using gambling-style trading is not allowed.
- Total position size must not exceed 2% max risk of the account.
- First Violation leads to Warning, possible profit removal, and leverage reduction. On the second violation, your profits will be removed again until you are in compliance with the rules, but we will not breach your account.
VPN's/IP and VPS/Multiple Devices
- VPNs and VPS are allowed, but only for personal use. You must use paid services and never share devices or IPs with other traders. Using VPNs, VPS, or multiple devices to bypass copy trading, group trading, or signal trading rules will lead to account termination.
Prohibition of Multiple Accounts Sharing the Same Client ID (CID) on the MT5 Platform
- A single Client ID (CID) must not be used to access or operate multiple MT5 accounts, whether at the same time or one after another, regardless of ownership or account type.
- Violation leads to immediate disqualification, closure of all associated accounts, forfeiture of any profit share or funding status and a permanent ban from Seacrest Markets programs.
Max Open Position per Asset
- No more than two open positions are allowed per asset (same pair) within the same timeframe
Excessive Scalping Policy
- Traders must hold each trade for more than 2 minutes on average per trade, not averaged across all trades; occasional shorter trades are allowed, but persistent sub-2-minute trades are prohibited. Violations result in voided profits and account reset, to prevent tick scalping and price-feed manipulation.
