Broker Summary

What Wikilix has recorded about GTCFX: its history, the licences it holds, its trading conditions and its fees.

GTCFX Broker Overview

GTCFX is the trading brand of the GTC Financial Group, a multi entity forex and CFD business that dates its launch to 2012 and runs its international operation from the United Arab Emirates. Clients who open an account through the international website contract with GTC Global Trading Ltd, a company incorporated in Anjouan in the Union of the Comoros. Other companies in the group hold licences in Vanuatu, South Africa, Australia and the United Kingdom, and those licences do not all cover the same clients. The broker offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and its own GTC Go app, with a Standard account that carries no minimum deposit and an ECN account from 3,000 USD.

GTCFX Regulation and License

Regulation at GTCFX is spread across several companies, and which one applies depends on the entity a client contracts with. The broker states on its own site that each entity in the group is a separate legal entity and that a licence held by one does not extend to another.

  • GTC Global Trading Ltd, Anjouan, Union of the Comoros, company number 16283, holds licence L16283/GTC from the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority. This is the entity behind the international website, and the licence is recorded as running to 10 March 2027.
  • GTC Global Trade Capital Co. Limited, Vanuatu, company number 40354, holds Class A, Class B and Class C Principal's Licences issued by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission under the Financial Dealers Licensing Act, licence number 40354, confirmed on the commission's own licensee list.
  • GTC Global SA (Pty) Ltd, South Africa, is an authorised financial services provider under FSP number 51545 with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority, confirmed on that register. It introduces South African clients rather than acting as counterparty to their trades.
  • GTC Global (Australia) Pty Ltd is associated with Australian Financial Services Licence 496371. Its current standing is documented rather than independently confirmed, and the international website does not accept Australian residents in any case.
  • Global Markets Group Limited holds Financial Conduct Authority authorisation 744501 in the United Kingdom. GTCFX describes this company as an affiliate through a common shareholder rather than a GTC contracting entity, and the authority's record lists a different website from the GTCFX domain.
  • A Financial Services Commission licence numbered GB22200292 is claimed but not confirmed. A search of that regulator's public register under the brand and under each corporate name on record did not return it.

Is GTCFX Regulated?

Yes, but the regulation that reaches an international client is offshore. An account opened through the international website sits with the Anjouan licensed company, with the Vanuatu licensed company also named in the site's legal disclosures, and neither jurisdiction operates an investor compensation scheme. The United Kingdom and Australian authorisations in the group belong to separate companies and do not extend to international accounts, so the presence of an FCA or ASIC number alongside the brand should not be read as onshore protection for a client's own funds.

GTC Global Trading Ltd and the GTC Group Companies

The brand sits above at least six companies. GTC Global Trading Ltd operates and contracts for the international website. GTC Global Trade Capital Co. Limited is the group's Vanuatu licensed dealing company and the name the broker carries as its full corporate identity. GTC Global SA (Pty) Ltd, registration 2020/810937/07, handles South African clients as an intermediary rather than as counterparty. GTC Global Ltd and GTC Global (Australia) Pty Ltd cover other markets, and Global Markets Group Limited is presented as an affiliated United Kingdom firm rather than a contracting entity. The practical consequence is that the counterparty named in the client agreement, not the brand on the website, determines what protection applies.

Is GTCFX Safe?

GTCFX is a licensed operator rather than an unregulated one, but the protection behind an international account is thin. The licences that actually cover those accounts sit in Anjouan and Vanuatu, where there is no compensation scheme and limited practical recourse if the firm fails. Against that, the corporate structure is disclosed openly on the site, the entities behind the international service are named with their company numbers, and three of the licences held by GTC companies were confirmed on the issuing authority's own records. The unconfirmed Financial Services Commission claim is the weakest point in the disclosure and is the one item a prospective client should raise directly.

GTCFX Account Types

Two live account tiers are offered.

  • Standard: no minimum deposit, leverage to 1:2000, no commission, with the cost taken in the spread from 1.0 pip.
  • ECN: minimum deposit 3,000 USD, leverage to 1:500, spreads from 0.0 pips and commission of 5 USD per standard lot.

The gap between the two is wide. The Standard tier is open to anyone but carries the higher spread, while the raw spread pricing needs a deposit many retail clients would consider substantial.

GTCFX Spreads, Commissions and Fees

Spreads are variable and execution is hybrid, so pricing depends on the account. Standard accounts pay no commission and start from 1.0 pip. ECN accounts start from 0.0 pips and pay 5 USD per standard lot. The broker states it adds no fee of its own to deposits or withdrawals, though card issuers, intermediary banks, e-wallet operators and blockchain networks charge their own costs.

GTCFX Leverage

Leverage reaches 1:2000 on the Standard account and 1:500 on the ECN account. Both sit far above the caps applied in onshore markets such as the United Kingdom and Australia, which follows directly from the offshore licences the international service operates under.

GTCFX Trading Platforms

MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are both offered on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android as well as through a browser based WebTrader, with one login across all of them. Alongside them the broker runs its own GTC Go application for trading and account management. Expert advisors are supported on MetaTrader 4, and MetaTrader 5 adds MQL5 automated trading and depth of market pricing.

GTCFX Deposits and Withdrawals

Funding is available by Visa and Mastercard, bank transfer, e-wallets, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cryptocurrency including USDT on the TRC20 network. Card, e-wallet, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto deposits are credited immediately once verification or network confirmation is complete, while bank transfers arrive in one to three days. Card funding is capped at 2,000 USD in each direction. Withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours, before the receiving bank or network adds its own settlement time. New cards go through a whitelisting check, and bank transfers must carry the payment reference issued in the client portal.

GTCFX Support

Support runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week through live chat, with email at support@gtcfx.com, a United Kingdom freephone line, a WhatsApp channel and a published FAQ. The international site is served in English. Offices are listed in Dubai, Cape Town, Port Vila, London and Limassol.

GTCFX Pros and Cons

Strengths:

  • A Standard account with no minimum deposit, which lowers the barrier to starting.
  • MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 across desktop, mobile and browser, plus a proprietary app.
  • Broad funding choice with no broker side fees, including cards, e-wallets and crypto.
  • Corporate structure and licence numbers disclosed openly, with three of the group's licences confirmed on the issuing authority's own records.

Limitations:

  • International accounts rest on Anjouan and Vanuatu licences, with no compensation scheme behind them.
  • The United Kingdom and Australian authorisations belong to separate companies and do not protect international clients.
  • One claimed Financial Services Commission licence could not be found on that regulator's public register.
  • Raw spread pricing requires a 3,000 USD deposit.
  • Leverage to 1:2000 raises the risk of rapid loss for inexperienced traders.

GTCFX Review and Assessment

GTCFX is a well presented offshore broker with a genuine dealing licence, a wide platform and funding offering, and an unusually frank statement on its own site that group licences do not transfer between entities. The decisive question for a prospective client is not whether the brand is regulated but which company will appear on their client agreement, because that determines whether any onshore protection applies, and for the international website it does not. Anyone considering an account should check the contracting entity named at application, treat leverage of 1:2000 as a risk rather than a feature, and ask the broker to evidence the one licence claim that could not be confirmed on a public register.

How we know — 10 sources
  1. 1The refused countries come from the broker's Restricted Countries page, which opens "GTC Global Ltd does not provide services to residents of certain jurisdictions due to regulatory, compliance, and risk management policies." Its "List of Prohibited Countries" names the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Iran and Myanmar; its "Service Restriction" group names Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, USA, Australia and Japan. Source: https://www.gtcfx.com/en-intl/legal/restricted-countries
  2. 2The site-wide footer disclaimer independently states "Services offered through this international website are not available to residents of the United States, Japan, Australia, or in any jurisdiction where the provision of those services would contravene applicable laws, regulations, or sanctions." That is a second broker-owned statement covering US, JP and AU.
  3. 3The "List of High Risk Countries" on the same page is a risk-monitoring category rather than a statement of refusal, so its members are likely but unconfirmed refusals: Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Laos, Lebanon, Monaco, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Vietnam, Virgin Islands (UK) and Yemen. The broker's own KYC & Compliance Policy supports that reading: "a country appearing on a monitoring list does not by itself require automatic rejection unless a legal, regulatory, provider or Company restriction applies." Source: https://www.gtcfx.com/en-intl/legal/kyc-compliance-policy
  4. 4The onboarding country selector on the client portal registration form offers a closed list of 196 jurisdictions and withholds Anguilla, Australia, Bermuda, Bhutan, Comoros, Gibraltar, the United Kingdom, the United States, Vanuatu and Vatican City. Anguilla, Bermuda, Bhutan, Comoros, Gibraltar, the United Kingdom, Vanuatu and Vatican City are withheld by the selector but named on no published page, so they are listed as probably refused. Source: https://web.mygtc.app/user
  5. 5The selector and the published restriction pages disagree, and the disagreement is recorded rather than resolved silently. The selector at https://web.mygtc.app/user still offers Iran, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine, Israel and Japan, which https://www.gtcfx.com/en-intl/legal/restricted-countries names as prohibited or service-restricted. The selector's exclusions are treated as enforcement, but its inclusions are not treated as acceptance, because it simultaneously offers Iran and Cuba while the broker's own page lists Iran as prohibited. So for those jurisdictions the published prohibition decides.
  6. 6No accepted list is given. The broker publishes no list of accepted countries, and for the same reason the registration selector does not count as one.
  7. 7Dependent territories: the United States and Australia are named as refused, but their dependencies are not named separately. The refusal of those two countries therefore covers Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, Norfolk Island, Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
  8. 8Iran rests on the broker's own Restricted Countries page, which lists it under "List of Prohibited Countries". The broker publishes no Persian-language site variant: the site's own hreflang set lists 19 locales (en, ar, zh-Hans, zh-TW, ms, tr, ur, hi, id, fr, es, pt, vi, tl, th, ru, ps, it, uz) with no Farsi among them.
  9. 9The Website Terms carry no country list and refer instead to the Restricted Countries Policy; the separate client agreement published as a PDF from the site footer is not covered here. Source: https://www.gtcfx.com/en-intl/legal/terms-and-conditions
  10. 10Scope caveat, in the broker's own words: the Restricted Countries page states "The above list applies specifically to services offered by GTC Global Ltd and GTC Global Trade Capital Co. Limited. Other entities within the GTC Financial Group may operate under different regulatory frameworks." The legal documents for this international website name GTC Global Trading Ltd as the operating entity, so the policy's stated scope and the site's stated operator are not the same name.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about GTCFX

Most Popular Questions

GTCFX says it processes withdrawal requests within 24 hours, after which the receiving bank or network adds its own settlement time.

Funding runs through Visa and Mastercard cards, bank transfer, Skrill and Neteller e-wallets, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and USDT on the TRC20 network. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto transfers are credited once verification or network confirmation completes, while bank transfers are quoted at one to three days. New cards go through a whitelisting check before they can be used.

It depends on the account. The Standard account charges no commission and prices its cost into a variable spread from 1.0 pip, while the ECN account quotes spreads from 0.0 pips and charges 5 USD per standard lot.

GTCFX states that it adds no fee of its own to deposits or withdrawals. Card issuers, intermediary banks, e-wallet operators and blockchain networks charge their own costs, and those sit outside the broker's control.

GTCFX sets no minimum deposit on its Standard account, and its ECN account opens from 3,000 USD.

The gap in entry comes with a difference in pricing: the Standard tier charges no commission and takes its cost in a variable spread from 1.0 pip, while the ECN tier quotes from 0.0 pips and charges 5 USD per standard lot. Card funding is capped at 2,000 USD, so the ECN minimum cannot be met with a single card payment.

Complaints go through the enquiry form on the GTCFX , where you can select a compliance query and a ticket type such as a trading investigation, a withdrawal issue or a KYC matter, and attach supporting documents. You will receive an email containing a case number once the form is submitted, and the same matters can be raised by email to support@gtcfx.com.

GTCFX does not publish a dedicated complaints address on its contact or help centre pages, so keep your own record of what you sent and when.

Yes. GTCFX offers copy trading through its client portal, where you can browse signal providers, review their performance history and risk metrics, and subscribe so that your account mirrors their trades in proportion to the balance you allocate.

It also supports PAMM and MAM structures for money managers and their investors, which are arranged by contacting the support team rather than set up self service. Copying another trader does not reduce the risk of loss, and a signal provider's past performance is not a guide to future results.

Yes. GTCFX lists customer support offices in Dubai at Al Fattan Currency House in the DIFC, in London at One Canada Square in Canary Wharf, and in Limassol, Cyprus.

The company states explicitly that these locations provide customer support and administrative assistance only, that they are not separate contracting entities, and that they should not be regarded as evidence that the operating company is licensed or authorised in those jurisdictions.

It depends on your jurisdiction, eligibility, classification and how you are onboarded. GTCFX states that the applicable contracting entity, and where relevant the product issuer or counterparty, is disclosed before you submit an account application and is identified in the client agreement you sign.

This matters because each company in the group is a separate legal entity, and the products, protections and licences available under one do not carry across to another. Read the agreement to see which company will actually be holding your money.

GTCFX says it aims to answer email and enquiry form messages within one business day, and its contact page quotes a response time of 24 hours for email support. Its help centre advertises live chat as available 24/7 with an average chat wait of under two minutes, which is the broker's own published figure rather than an independently measured one.

Enquiries submitted through the website form are acknowledged by email with a case number.

GTCFX offers contracts for difference rather than direct ownership of the underlying assets. Its published range covers forex, metals, energy, indices, shares and equities, cryptocurrencies and futures, all traded as CFDs.

Because these are leveraged derivative products you do not own the underlying share, commodity or coin, and losses can exceed the amount you originally deposited.

Yes. GTCFX names North Korea, Iran and Myanmar as prohibited, and restricts service to residents of Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, the United States, Australia and Japan.

Its carries that list, and the site's own disclaimer repeats that the international service is not available to residents of the United States, Japan or Australia, or anywhere its provision would breach applicable law or sanctions. A separate high risk list on the same page is a monitoring category rather than a refusal, so appearing on it does not by itself mean an application is turned away.

GTCFX publishes a support email at support@gtcfx.com, a phone support line on +44 800 229 4534, and a WhatsApp and messaging channel on +44 800 048 8461. It also runs an enquiry form and a help centre on its website, and describes its live chat as available 24/7.

The site says support may be offered in multiple languages subject to staff availability but does not publish which languages those are, and it describes phone support as being for premium account holders and partners rather than for every client.

The maximum is 1:2000 on the Standard account and 1:500 on the ECN account.

GTCFX also applies dynamic leverage tiers that reduce the effective ratio as a position grows, so the headline figure attached to an account is not available on every trade. Caps of this size sit far above those applied in onshore markets, and they magnify losses as readily as gains.

GTCFX offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, alongside its own GTC Go trading app. MetaTrader 4 remains the long standing choice for forex and CFD trading, while MetaTrader 5 adds further asset classes and analytical tools.

Account administration, deposits, withdrawals and leverage changes are handled separately in the client portal rather than inside the trading platform itself.

GTCFX is the brand of a group of separate legal entities, and which one you deal with determines what protection you have. Its international website states that the site is operated by GTC Global Trading Ltd, incorporated in Anjouan in the Union of the Comoros under company number 16283 and licensed by the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority under licence L16283/GTC, and that GTC Global Trade Capital Co. Limited, company number 40354, is incorporated in Vanuatu and holds Class A, Class B and Class C Principal's Licences from the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission. Other companies in the group hold their own authorisations in their own jurisdictions.

The broker states that each entity is separate and that a licence held by one entity does not extend to any other. Check which company your client agreement names before you deposit.
