Finding

Exchange membership no. 163 held by Hantec Bullion Limited (Hong Kong company no. 800019): status AA, eTrading member and recognised liquidity provider. It covers gold and silver trading in Hong Kong, not forex or CFDs. Client protection: Limited. Exchange membership rules for precious-metals dealing; this is not supervision by a statutory securities regulator, and there is no compensation scheme.

HKGX is classed as an offshore regime. An offshore registration can be entirely legitimate, but it typically means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.

Most Popular Questions

Yes. The financial services guide of Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited charges a dormant account fee of $25 a year once an account has gone 12 months without trading, deducted on the anniversary of the last transaction. If the balance cannot cover it, the fee takes the balance to zero and the account is closed; the Australian company's guide sets the same $25 yearly fee.

Only its Australian company is. Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Limited holds Australian Financial Services Licence 326907, which the ASIC register showed as Current on 21 October 2026. It serves Australian residents through au.hantec.com and www.hantecmarkets.com, with leverage of up to 1:30 on major and 1:20 on minor currency pairs. Clients of the global site www.hantec.com contract with Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited under its Vanuatu licence, and the ASIC licence does not cover them.

Yes. Hantec Copy Trading is built into the Hantec Trading App, and any live account holder can follow other traders' strategies or offer their own. Strategy providers set a performance fee as a percentage of the follower's net profit, settled per trade or daily or weekly.

The global accounts cover forex, precious metals, commodity CFDs, index CFDs and stock CFDs, and the Standard account card also mentions crypto CFDs. The ECN account is limited to forex and precious metals, and the Hong Kong service of Hantec Bullion Limited covers precious metals only.

Send it to Hantec Financial's Customer Service Department by phone, email or letter: the broker aims to respond within 7 working days, or 15 to 30 working days for complex cases, and a complaint not resolved within 6 weeks can be escalated to its Compliance, Internal Audit and Risk Management Director. For global clients, the terms of Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited then send a dispute to mediation under Vanuatu rules, with the mediator's costs shared equally, and to arbitration under Vanuatu rules if mediation does not settle it within 30 days. Clients of Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Limited can take an unresolved complaint to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), where the company is member 12777.

Hantec Financial advertises 24/7 multilingual support, with live chat on its website, phone +852 2214 4288 and email csd@hantec.com. Australian clients can reach the Sydney office on +61 2 8017 8018 or cs@hantecmarkets.com.

Yes, according to the broker. A formal statement on Hantec Financial's home page says institutions and individuals have been doing business in the Hantec Group's name, including opening precious-metals trading accounts, and that anyone claiming a link to the group without the authorised Hantec brand and logo has no connection with it. The group asks clients to confirm through its official website and customer service hotline; its sites include www.hantec.com, au.hantec.com and www.hantecmarkets.com for Australia, and www.hantecbullion.com for the Hong Kong client centre.

It depends on where you live, because Hantec Financial is a co-brand shared by several Hantec Group companies. Clients of the global site www.hantec.com contract with Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited, which the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission's register of international companies lists as company 40318, incorporated on 29 May 2017, with its registered office in the Govant Building, Kumul Highway, Port Vila (checked 21 October 2026). Australian residents deal with Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Limited through au.hantec.com, Hong Kong clients with Hantec Bullion Limited, and Hantec (Seychelles) Services Limited runs www.hantec-sc.com. The group says it has served investors for over 35 years; the Vanuatu company itself dates from 2017.

Standard accounts are commission-free, but the ECN account adds a commission to raw spreads, so the home page's '$0 Commission' headline does not hold for every account. The accounts page gives no commission rate and no typical spread for any account; the financial services guide of Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited puts commissions, where charged, at 0.005% to 0.015% of the opening and closing transaction value. The same guide charges a dormant account fee of $25 a year after 12 months without trading, plus fees for posted statements, audit certificates and copies of recorded calls.

The global site offers four live accounts with floating spreads: CENT from 100 USD with balances in US cents, Standard from 500 USD with no commission, PRO from 2,000 USD with lower spreads on gold, silver and forex, and ECN from 5,000 USD with raw spreads plus commission, limited to forex and precious metals. A 30-day demo account comes with 50,000 USD in virtual funds, and the accounts page mentions no swap-free account.

The lowest minimum deposit on Hantec Financial's global accounts table is 100 USD, for the CENT account; the Standard account needs 500 USD, PRO 2,000 USD and ECN 5,000 USD. The home page advertises a '$0 Minimum Deposit', which the accounts table does not support for any live account; only the demo account needs no deposit.

Yes. Hantec Financial's website disclaimer says it does not offer its services to residents of Japan, the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Hong Kong, Macau and jurisdictions on the FATF sanctions lists, and its sign-up form turns away U.S. citizens. The sign-up form still lists Japan, Canada, Iran, North Korea and Macau as countries of residence, and the site's own Hong Kong section says Hong Kong clients are served by Hantec Bullion Limited, so the disclaimer and the rest of the site do not fully agree. Australian residents are served separately by Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Ltd through au.hantec.com.

Hantec Financial offers leverage of up to 1:1000 on its global Standard and PRO accounts, 1:500 on CENT and 1:200 on ECN. The PRO account card also describes 'higher leverage (up to 1:500)', so the broker's own accounts page gives two figures for PRO. Australian residents, served by Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Ltd, are limited to 1:30 on major and 1:20 on minor FX CFDs, and the Hong Kong precious-metals service lists up to 1:100.

Anti-money-laundering rules apply to Hantec Financial accounts. The client terms of Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited bind clients to anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws, including providing satisfactory evidence of the identity of anyone they act for, and allow the company to share client information with law enforcement agencies and regulators. The deposit page adds that funds deposited and withdrawn without trading activity may be referred to the Compliance Department for an anti-money-laundering review.

Hantec Financial's global deposit and withdrawal page lists no deposit or withdrawal fee for any channel, but the client terms of Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited put intermediary and receiving bank charges on the client, and the page charges 5% of the total deposit as an administrative cost when deposits through the Hantec payment gateway are not matched by trading margin of at least 50% of that deposit. Bank wire withdrawals take 2 to 4 working days with a minimum of 50 USD (500 USD for the China market), USDT withdrawals 1 to 3 hours, USDC withdrawals 1 to 2 working days and African local transfers 1 working day. Cards and the Asian local transfer channels are for deposits only.

Hantec Financial offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and its own Hantec Trading App for iOS and Android, which includes Hantec Copy Trading. MT4 and MT5 are available as a Windows download, a web terminal and iOS and Android apps. Australian residents, served by Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Ltd, get MT4 only, including a Mac version.

Yes. Each of the four Hantec Financial companies holds a licence or membership that was confirmed on the issuing body's own register or member list on 21 October 2026, but global clients deal with Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited under its offshore Vanuatu licence:

  • Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited: VFSC financial dealers licence 40318, classes A, B and C.
  • Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Limited: ASIC Australian Financial Services Licence 326907, status Current, for clients of the Australian company only.
  • Hantec (Seychelles) Services Limited: listed by the Seychelles FSA as a securities dealer; the register shows no number, and the broker's sites give SD164 and SDR225.
  • Hantec Bullion Limited: Hong Kong Gold Exchange member 163, for gold and silver trading in Hong Kong.

On client funds the Vanuatu company's own documents disagree: clause 10.1 of its English terms says client money is held on the company's own account, not in trust, while the Chinese version of its product information statement says deposits are kept separately from the company's own funds in designated accounts. No compensation scheme is confirmed for clients of any Hantec company.

Licence 163 was issued by Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX), the financial authority for Hong Kong.
HANTEC FINANCIAL holds this HKGX licence. A licence on record means the authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement.
We located this entry on the HKGX register. Note that confirming a register ENTRY is not the same as confirming a live licence — the register’s own wording on this page is what states its current standing.
Wikilix rates HKGX tier 3. Supervision is lighter-touch and client protections vary.
Yes, HKGX is classed as an offshore regime. That can be a legitimate registration, but it usually means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.
This page links straight to the HKGX register. Search it for 163, and for the name HANTEC FINANCIAL rather than the trading brand.
HANTEC FINANCIAL has 3 other licences on record with Wikilix, across 3 jurisdictions. They are listed further down this page.
