Hantec Financial Broker Overview
Hantec Financial is the trading brand of the Hantec Group, which says it has served investors for over 35 years. The brand is shared by several group companies: the global site, www.hantec.com, contracts with clients through Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited in Vanuatu, Australian residents are served by Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Limited, the Hong Kong precious-metals service is run by Hantec Bullion Limited, and Hantec (Seychelles) Services Limited runs www.hantec-sc.com. Each of these companies' licences or memberships was confirmed on the issuing body's register on 21 October 2026, and the licence behind the global offer is an offshore one from Vanuatu. Global clients trade forex, precious metals and CFDs on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and the Hantec Trading App, through four account types with minimum deposits from 100 USD and leverage of up to 1:1000.
Hantec Financial Regulation and License
The broker's website names four companies behind the Hantec Financial brand. Each licence or membership below was confirmed on the issuing body's own register or member records on 21 October 2026:
- Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited: financial dealers licence 40318 from the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC), active for classes A, B and C and in effect since 21 November 2022. This is the company that global clients contract with.
- Hantec Markets (Australia) Pty Limited (ACN 129 943 086): Australian Financial Services Licence 326907 from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), status Current, held since 27 August 2008. It covers general advice and dealing in derivatives, foreign exchange contracts and non-cash payment products, and making a market in derivatives and foreign exchange contracts, for retail and wholesale clients. The ASIC register names www.hantecmarkets.com as the licensee's website.
- Hantec (Seychelles) Services Limited: listed as a licensed securities dealer on the register of the Financial Services Authority Seychelles (FSA), which shows no licence numbers. www.hantec.com gives the number as SD164, while the Seychelles company's own site, www.hantec-sc.com, gives SDR225.
- Hantec Bullion Limited: member no. 163 of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange, shown as an active member with operation status AA on the exchange's own records. This is exchange membership for gold and silver trading in Hong Kong, not supervision by a statutory securities regulator, and it does not extend to forex or CFDs.
Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited is also on the VFSC's register of international companies as company 40318, incorporated on 29 May 2017, with its registered office in the Govant Building, Kumul Highway, Port Vila (checked 21 October 2026). Its terms and conditions, financial services guide and product information statement (version 2.1, 20 May 2024) govern global accounts under Vanuatu law.
Is Hantec Financial Regulated?
Yes, but by a different authority for each group company, so the rules that apply depend on which company holds the account. A client of the global site deals with Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited under its VFSC licence, an offshore licence with light supervision, while the ASIC licence covers only the Australian company's clients, who are served through au.hantec.com and www.hantecmarkets.com. In Hong Kong the brand's service is provided by Hantec Bullion Limited under its gold exchange membership, which covers gold and silver only.
Is Hantec Financial Safe?
The confirmed licences show who supervises each Hantec company, but for global clients the bigger question is how client money is held, and the Vanuatu company's own documents give two different answers. Clause 10.1 of its English terms and conditions says client money is held on the company's own account rather than in trust, may be pooled with other clients' money and leaves the client a creditor of the company, and clause 10.3 lets the company use it to meet obligations to related entities and liquidity providers. The Chinese version of its product information statement says instead that client deposits are kept separately from the company's own funds in designated accounts.
No deposit insurance or investor compensation scheme is confirmed for clients of any Hantec company. The same terms let the company terminate an account and be released from its obligations, including those on open contracts, if it believes a client has given false information, is involved in money laundering or is under official investigation. The group's home page also warns that unauthorised parties have used the Hantec name to open precious-metals accounts, and asks the public to deal only through its official website and customer service hotline.
Hantec Financial Account Types
The global site offers four live accounts, all with floating spreads:
- CENT: from 100 USD, with balances in US cents.
- Standard: from 500 USD, with no commission.
- PRO: from 2,000 USD, with lower spreads on gold, silver and forex.
- ECN: from 5,000 USD, with raw spreads plus commission, for forex and precious metals only.
A 30-day demo account comes with 50,000 USD in virtual funds. The home page's '$0 Minimum Deposit' headline is not supported by any live account, and the accounts page mentions no swap-free account. The Australian site publishes no named account tiers, and the Hong Kong service offers a single live account.
Hantec Financial Spreads, Commissions and Fees
Hantec Financial publishes no typical or minimum spread for any account. The Standard account charges no commission, while the ECN account's commission rate is not given on the accounts page; the financial services guide of Hantec Markets (V) Company Limited puts commissions, where charged, at 0.005% to 0.015% of the opening and closing transaction value, depending on the platform. The same guide charges a dormant account fee of $25 a year after 12 months without trading, and says an introducing broker can ask for its clients to be charged a premium over Hantec's standard spread.
The global deposit page lists no deposit or withdrawal fees, but it charges 5% of the total deposit as an administrative cost when deposits through the Hantec payment gateway are not matched by trading margin of at least 50% of that deposit, without saying which channels count as the gateway. The client terms put intermediary and receiving bank charges on the client, and the company may amend the terms at any time, with a change binding ten days after notice on its website or from the client's next trade.
Hantec Financial Leverage
Leverage on the global site reaches 1:1000 on the Standard and PRO accounts, 1:500 on CENT and 1:200 on ECN, although the PRO account card also describes leverage of up to 1:500. The Australian site caps leverage at 1:30 on major and 1:20 on minor FX CFDs, and the Hong Kong precious-metals account offers up to 1:100.
Hantec Financial Trading Platforms
Global clients can use MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, each as a Windows download, a web terminal and iOS and Android apps, or the broker's own Hantec Trading App for iOS and Android. The app includes Hantec Copy Trading, where any live account holder can follow or offer strategies and strategy providers set a performance fee as a percentage of the follower's net profit. The Australian site offers MT4 only, including a Mac version.
Hantec Financial Deposits and Withdrawals
The global site lists local transfer channels for China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and several African countries, along with USDT, USDC, international bank wire in USD and card deposits of 50 to 10,000 USD; cards and the Asian local channels are for deposits only. Withdrawals go by bank wire (from 50 USD, or 500 USD for the China market, in 2 to 4 working days), USDT (1 to 3 hours), USDC (1 to 2 working days) or African local transfer (1 working day). Funds deposited and withdrawn without trading may be referred for an anti-money-laundering review, and the global client terms exclude the company's liability for any loss caused by a delay in funds reaching the client's account. Australian clients fund by bank transfer, SWIFT, payment gateway or Visa and Mastercard, with card funding limited to AUD 1,000 as initial margin, and the Australian company's terms accept no cash.
Hantec Financial Support
Hantec Financial advertises 24/7 multilingual support with live chat on its website, phone +852 2214 4288 and email csd@hantec.com, and lists offices in cities including London, Dubai, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Sydney and Port Vila. Complaints go to the Customer Service Department, which aims to respond within 7 working days, or 15 to 30 working days for complex cases, with escalation to the Compliance, Internal Audit and Risk Management Director if a complaint is not resolved within 6 weeks. For global clients, a dispute that remains unresolved goes to mediation under Vanuatu rules, with the mediator's costs shared equally, and then to arbitration under Vanuatu rules; clients of the Australian company can use the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), where it is member 12777.
Hantec Financial Pros and Cons
Strengths:
- Each group company's licence or membership was confirmed on the issuing body's register, including an ASIC licence for the Australian company's clients.
- MT4, MT5 and an in-house app with built-in copy trading.
- Local deposit channels across Asia and Africa, plus USDT and USDC.
- 24/7 support is advertised.
Limitations:
- Global clients contract with a Vanuatu company under an offshore licence, and disputes go to mediation and arbitration under Vanuatu rules.
- The English terms and the Chinese product information statement contradict each other on whether client money is kept separate from the company's own funds.
- Minimum deposits of 100 to 5,000 USD contradict the home page's '$0 Minimum Deposit' headline, and no spreads are published.
- A 5% charge applies to gateway deposits that are not matched by enough trading margin, and dormant accounts pay $25 a year.
Hantec Financial Review and Assessment
Hantec Financial pairs a broad platform choice and local funding across Asia and Africa with a group structure in which each company's licence was confirmed on its register, but the global offer runs through an offshore Vanuatu company with leverage of up to 1:1000. The most important step before funding an account is to confirm which Hantec company the account will be with and how that company holds client money, since the Vanuatu company's English terms and Chinese product information statement give different answers.
