Finding

Full FCA authorisation for HF Markets (UK) Limited (Companies House 11118651) with permission to hold client money; the register lists website hfmarkets.co.uk and trading names HF Markets and, until July 2019, HotForex. It serves UK residents only. HFM's own link uses an older FCA address that now opens the register home page; the entry is at the current address used here. Client protection: Strong for UK clients of this company: FCA conduct and client-money rules, Financial Ombudsman Service and FSCS eligibility. It does not cover clients of other HFM companies. Effective: 14 Nov 2018.

Most Popular Questions

It depends on the HFM company that holds your account. Complaints about HF Markets (Europe) Ltd go in writing to support@hfeu.com, or to trading@hfeu.com for trading issues; its procedure promises an acknowledgement within 5 business days and a final reply within two months, and also names the Financial Ombudsman of Cyprus and CySEC. UK clients of HF Markets (UK) Ltd can take complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service and have FSCS eligibility, with eligible claims covered up to 85,000 GBP per person. The Seychelles and Mauritius licences come with no investor compensation scheme, and HFM names no licence for HF Markets (SV) Ltd.

Compare the address with the websites the regulators' registers give for HFM's companies. The FCA register lists www.hfmarkets.co.uk for HF Markets (UK) Ltd, CySEC lists hfeu.com as the approved domain of HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, and the Seychelles FSA's entry gives www.hfm.com/sc for HF Markets (Seychelles) Ltd. HFM's global site is www.hfm.com, live accounts are opened at register.hfm.com, and clients log in at my.hfm.com, or at my.hfeu.com for the EU company.

HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, HFM's EU company, offers live chat, email at support@hfeu.com and phone support on +44-203 097 85 73 and +357-24-400561. Its trading desk and customer support are available from 00:05 Sunday to 23:50 Friday, server time (GMT+2, or GMT+3 in summer), and trading queries go to trading@hfeu.com or +357-25-263259.

HFM lists its Premium account without commission. HF Markets (Europe) Ltd charges no commission on forex pairs on its Premium Pro account, so the variable spread, from 1 pip, is the main cost. Its Costs and Charges document adds a dormant-account fee after 12 months without activity, 10 USD a month in the second year and 20 USD a month in the third, rising by a further 10 USD a month each later year, and a chargeback costs a 150 USD research fee plus a 150 USD administrative fee if it fails.

At HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, HFM's EU company, the Withdrawal Conditions say a request made before 5:00 pm Cyprus time is processed the same day and a later one the next business day, Monday to Friday, although its Withdraw Options page says withdrawals are processed 24/7. Processing is the time the company takes to handle the request, not the time the money takes to arrive: a bank wire takes 2 to 10 business days, depending on the correspondent bank. Its documents also disagree on the route: the Withdrawal Conditions say withdrawals are paid by wire whatever the deposit method, while the Account Opening Agreement and the withdrawal FAQ say funds go back by the method first used to deposit, card first.

HFM lists bank transfer, cards, e-wallets, cryptocurrencies and local payment methods for its global accounts. HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, its EU company, accepts bank wire deposits from 250 USD, credited in 2 to 7 business days, and Sofort deposits from 50 USD to 10,000 USD within 2 business days. It says it charges no deposit fees, but its terms let it pass bank and other third-party charges on to the client, and deposits are credited net of bank charges.

Only if you qualify as a professional client or an eligible counterparty. Residents of the European Economic Area (except Belgium) and Switzerland are served by HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, which accepts only Eligible Counterparties and Professional per se clients and does not take retail or elective professional clients. HFM's global website sends visitors from the EU to hfeu.com, where the company trades as HF Markets, a brand it says is different from the HFM brand of other group companies. HF Markets (Europe) Ltd holds CySEC licence 183/12, confirmed on CySEC's register on 23 October 2026.

HFM is the brand of HF Markets Group, and the company that holds your account depends on where you live. HFM's sign-up form assigns UK residents to HF Markets (UK) Ltd, Kenyan residents to HFM Investments Ltd, South African residents to HF Markets SA (PTY) Ltd, UAE residents to HF Markets (Seychelles) Ltd and residents of every other country it accepts to HF Markets (SV) Ltd, a St. Vincent and the Grenadines company. Professional clients in the European Economic Area (except Belgium) and Switzerland are served by HF Markets (Europe) Ltd in Cyprus. HF Markets SA (PTY) Ltd acts only as intermediary for HF Markets Ltd in Mauritius, which is the trading counterparty for South African clients.

HFM does not accept residents of the United States, Canada, Sudan, Syria, Iran, North Korea, Türkiye and certain other jurisdictions, according to the legal notice on its global site and sign-up pages. That notice also names the UAE, but HFM's sign-up form accepts UAE residents and assigns them to HF Markets (Seychelles) Ltd. The form also leaves out other countries, among them Australia, China and Russia. In the European Economic Area and Switzerland only professional clients can open an account, with HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, which does not serve Belgium.

HFM lists no minimum deposit on its Cent, Zero and Premium accounts and a minimum of 100 USD on its Pro account. HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, the group's EU company, serves only professional clients and requires 5,000 USD for its Premium Pro account. At HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, funding methods carry their own minimums: 250 USD for a bank wire deposit and 50 USD for Sofort.

HFM lists maximum leverage of 1:2000 on its Cent, Zero, Pro and Premium accounts. Leverage depends on the group company that holds the account: at HF Markets (Europe) Ltd, professional clients get up to 1:400 on forex CFDs and 1:100 on gold, and other asset classes follow the EU retail limits, from 1:20 on major indices down to 1:5 on shares and bonds.

HFM offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and its own HFM App for iOS and Android. HF Markets (Europe) Ltd lists MetaTrader 5, HFM WebTrader, mobile trading and the HFM Platform for its Premium Pro account, and MetaTrader 4 does not appear on its account, market or funding pages.

HF Markets Group is only partly regulated: WIKILIX confirmed seven licences held by HFM companies on the regulators' own registers on 23 October 2026, but none belongs to HF Markets (SV) Ltd, which signs up residents of most countries and for which HFM's legal notice names no financial licence. UK residents are served by HF Markets (UK) Ltd under FCA authorisation 801701, with FCA client-money rules and FSCS eligibility, and HF Markets (Europe) Ltd holds CySEC licence 183/12 but takes only professional clients and eligible counterparties. The other licences are narrower: the South African and Kenyan ones cover intermediary and non-dealing business, the UAE one covers introduction and promotion only, and the Seychelles and Mauritius ones come with no investor compensation scheme.
