Is KAIFIN a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Updated September 3, 2026
Unlicensed offshore CFD broker, now offline

KAIFIN is not a proven scam, but we rate it high risk. It took retail CFD deposits for nearly four years without any financial licence, and its website went offline in mid 2026 without warning. We found no regulator warning, no enforcement action and no fraud-related court record naming this company.

  • The company is real. KAIFIN LLC is registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, number 2654, incorporated on 24 October 2022, and is still listed as Active on the authority's own register.
  • No licence, anywhere. The broker never claimed one. Its own website stated plainly that it had not obtained a licence, and that the Saint Vincent Financial Services Authority does not regulate or supervise CFDs.
  • The website is gone. On 3 September 2026 kaifintrade.com shows a disconnected-domain placeholder. The last working capture is 20 April 2026 and carried no closing notice and no instructions for clients.
  • No withdrawal complaints found. Across Trustpilot, a third-party broker directory, Facebook and forum searches, we found no report of a client being refused their money.
  • Almost no footprint. One Trustpilot review in four years and two Facebook followers, which is far too thin to treat as reassurance.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: High
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

7/10 · High

No financial licence of any kind while taking retail CFD deposits. Credit given for honest disclosure, no fabricated number and no warning-list entry, which keeps it off the maximum.

Identity & transparency

4/10 · Moderate

Registration number, entity name and address match the Saint Vincent register exactly, which is a genuine strength, but ownership is undisclosed, the contact details point to Dubai while the entity is Caribbean, and the firm is now unreachable.

Withdrawals & conduct

2/10 · Low

No fund-integrity complaint found on any platform. No refused withdrawal, no frozen balance and no advance-fee demand. The only gripes concern live chat speed and thin documentation.

Reputation

5/10 · Moderate

Sentiment is mildly positive but the footprint is negligible: one Trustpilot review in four years, three directory comments and two Facebook followers. Too thin to rely on in either direction.

Website claims

4/10 · Moderate

Unusually honest on the central point, stating it held no licence and that the local authority does not supervise CFDs. Marked down for framing a company registration as authorisation and for an unnamed award-winning claim.

Operational history

6/10 · High

Track record of about four years verified from both the domain and the company registry, which earns credit, but the operation has now gone dark abruptly with no wind-down notice to clients.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: KAIFIN (also written Kaifin, KaifinTrade)
  • Legal entity: KAIFIN LLC, registration number 2654, incorporated 24 October 2022
  • Registered: Richmond Hill Road, P.O. Box 2897, Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Registered agent: Euro-Caribbean Trustees Ltd.
  • Website: kaifintrade.com, registered 27 September 2022, offline since mid 2026
  • Only licence: none. The company holds an offshore company registration, which is not a financial licence and does not protect deposits.
  • Offered: CFDs on currency pairs, metals, energies and crypto, on MT5 and cTrader, leverage up to 1:1000, four account tiers
  • Not accepted: residents of the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore, and FATF high-risk jurisdictions including North Korea, Iran and Myanmar
  • Age claim: the site carried a 2022 copyright and claimed no earlier history. That matches the records exactly.

The KAIFIN homepage as archived on 3 December 2023, carrying the same disclosure that the company holds no licence and naming no regulator.
The archived KAIFIN About page from February 2025, which names no regulator, no licence number and no executives.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Services Authority (company registry)

VerifiedNot a forex licenceLimited relevance
A company registration, not a financial licence. KAIFIN LLC is registered as an International Business Company in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, number 2654. The broker's own site presented this registration as conferring authorisation to provide CFD brokerage, while also stating that it does not amount to a licence from the local supervisory authority. The Saint Vincent authority does not license or supervise forex and CFD brokers at all.
Protection: None. A company registration does not require segregated client funds or minimum capital, and it provides no compensation scheme, no ombudsman and no complaints route for clients.Official register
NFA's BASIC register returns no results for KAIFIN, confirming the firm was never registered with the CFTC in the United States.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

Two facts drive this rating, and neither of them is an accusation of theft.

  • It held client money with no financial supervision. KAIFIN LLC was an offshore company registration and nothing more. An International Business Company registration in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a corporate filing, not a licence to hold deposits or trade on a client's behalf. There was no regulator checking its capital, segregating client funds, or offering a complaints route. If money went missing, no authority was responsible for getting it back.
  • It stopped operating without telling anyone. The site was working normally on 20 April 2026 with no closure or withdrawal notice. By September 2026 the domain no longer resolves to a website, one client subdomain no longer exists in DNS and another no longer completes a secure connection. The domain itself is still paid up until September 2027. A business that winds down properly tells its clients how to withdraw. We found no such notice.

We also want to be clear about what we did not find, because it matters.

  • No warning list names this firm. We searched regulator alert sources and found nothing for KAIFIN or kaifintrade.com. One FCA warning entry with a similar-looking name belongs to a different company, Kaiser Invest Trade, and we have not counted it.
  • The NFA rumour does not hold up. Two users on a third-party broker directory said KAIFIN claimed a licence from the US National Futures Association that they could not find. We checked NFA's own BASIC register under KAIFIN, KAIFIN LLC and KAIFINTRADE, and all three return no results, so the firm was never registered with the CFTC. But we also read the broker's own homepage as archived in March 2023, December 2023, November 2024 and April 2026, plus its About, Terms, FAQ and Contact pages, and none of them mention the NFA or claim regulation by anyone. We could not substantiate that the broker ever made that claim, so we have not scored it against them.
  • Nobody reported losing money. No complaint we found, on any platform, describes a refused withdrawal, a frozen balance, or a demand for an extra payment to release funds.

The score of 54 percent reflects a real, honestly-disclosed but completely unsupervised operation that has now vanished. It is not a finding of misconduct.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case in KAIFIN's favour is stronger than the headline suggests, and it deserves stating.

  • It told the truth about its own status. Most bad offshore brokers dress up a company registration as regulation. KAIFIN's footer did the opposite. It said in plain words that the registration did not mean it had obtained a licence, and that the Saint Vincent authority does not regulate or supervise CFDs at all. That is more honest than a large part of this industry.
  • Its published identity checks out exactly. The registration number printed on its website, 2654, matches the Saint Vincent register precisely, as does the entity name and the Kingstown address. The register still shows the company as Active. Nothing here is borrowed from another firm.
  • Its age claims were accurate. The domain was registered on 27 September 2022 and the company incorporated on 24 October 2022. The site claimed 2022 and nothing earlier. There is no invented history, which is one of the most common lies in this sector.
  • It excluded the jurisdictions it was not allowed to serve. The terms ruled out US, Hong Kong and Singapore residents along with FATF high-risk countries, rather than chasing clients everywhere.
  • The infrastructure was real. Certificate records show a genuine brokerage stack behind the brand, including MT5 live and demo servers, a client portal, a KYC system, a CRM and an introducing-broker portal. This was an operating business, not an empty template.
  • The few clients who spoke were not unhappy about money. One reviewer described fast execution and responsive support over a period of use. The gripes we found are about slow live chat and thin documentation, which are service problems, not signs of theft.

A fair reading is that this was a small, genuinely unlicensed offshore broker that disclosed its status, ran for about four years, and then shut down. The danger is structural rather than proven: without a regulator, a client with a problem today has no route to recover anything.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Specific things that would move this rating in either direction.

  • Towards a scam verdict: credible reports from clients that deposits were not returned when the site went offline, especially if several described the same failure with amounts and dates.
  • Towards a scam verdict: any demand for an extra payment, described as a tax, fee or verification, before a balance is released. That single pattern would change our view immediately.
  • Towards a scam verdict: an entry on any regulator warning or alert list naming KAIFIN LLC or kaifintrade.com.
  • Towards a scam verdict: evidence that the same people relaunched under a new brand while leaving client balances behind.
  • Towards a lower risk rating: evidence that clients were paid out in full before the site closed, for example a documented wind-down notice or client confirmations of final withdrawals.
  • Towards a lower risk rating: the company obtaining and publishing a genuine licence from a recognised regulator, verifiable on that regulator's own register, if the brand returns.
  • On the open question: proof that the broker did or did not ever advertise NFA registration. We could not find any such claim on its own pages, and confirmation either way would settle a point currently left open.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

15 questions
Is KAIFIN a scam?

We did not find proof that it is. No regulator has named it, and we found no client reporting that money was withheld. But it operated for almost four years with no financial licence and its website went offline in mid 2026 without notice, so we rate it high risk at 54 percent.

Is KAIFIN a fraud?

No regulator or court has made any finding of fraud against KAIFIN LLC, and we found no fraud-related enforcement action or court record naming the company or kaifintrade.com. We also found no client reports of deposits being taken and not returned. Our concern is the absence of any supervision, not a proven offence.

Is KAIFIN regulated?

No. It holds no licence from any financial regulator. Its only official record is a company registration in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, number 2654, which is a corporate filing rather than permission to hold client money. The broker's own website said the same thing.

Is my money safe with KAIFIN?

There is no protection of the kind a licensed broker provides. No regulator required KAIFIN to segregate client funds or hold capital, and there is no compensation scheme or ombudsman. With the website now offline, there is also no visible way to contact the company.

Can I still withdraw from KAIFIN?

There is no working website or client portal, so there is no normal withdrawal route. If you hold a balance, collect your statements and payment records and speak to your bank or card issuer about a chargeback or fraud claim.

What happened to the KAIFIN website?

It stopped serving a site sometime between 20 April 2026, when it was last captured working normally, and September 2026. The address now shows a disconnected-domain placeholder. The domain registration itself is still paid up until September 2027.

Who owns KAIFIN?

This is not disclosed. KAIFIN LLC is registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines through the registered agent Euro-Caribbean Trustees Ltd. That jurisdiction does not publish the members or managers of a limited liability company, and the website named no executives.

How old is KAIFIN?

About four years. The domain kaifintrade.com was registered on 27 September 2022 and the company was incorporated on 24 October 2022. The site claimed 2022 and no earlier history, which matches the records.

Was KAIFIN regulated by the NFA in the United States?

No. We searched NFA's BASIC register under KAIFIN, KAIFIN LLC and KAIFINTRADE, and all three returned no results, so it was never registered with the CFTC. Some users said the broker advertised an NFA licence, but we read its archived homepage and legal pages from 2023 through 2026 and found no such claim.

Is a Saint Vincent registration the same as a licence?

No, and this is the single most misunderstood point about offshore brokers. Registering a company there is a routine corporate filing. The Saint Vincent Financial Services Authority does not license or supervise forex and CFD brokers, which KAIFIN's own website stated openly.

Is KAIFIN a clone of another broker?

No. We found no sign of impersonation. Its entity name, registration number, address and domain are consistent with each other and with the official register, and it did not display any other company's licence number.

What is the Kaifin CopyTrade app, and is it FCA regulated?

It is a copy-trading app published by Connext LLC, built on technology from Pelican, a trading name of London and Eastern LLP. Pelican's FCA regulation covers that technology provider, not KAIFIN LLC, and it gives no protection to money you deposited with KAIFIN.

There is a Kaifin CopyTrade website still online. Is that the broker?

No. That site is not operated by KAIFIN LLC. It uses the Kaifin name to attract search traffic and its only outbound link sends visitors to an unrelated broker through an affiliate referral.

What should I do if I lost money with KAIFIN?

Collect your account statements, deposit receipts and any messages with dates and amounts. Contact your bank or card issuer about a chargeback or fraud claim, and report the firm to your national financial regulator. Avoid any service that asks for an upfront fee to recover funds.

What should I check before depositing with any offshore broker?

Find the licence number on the regulator's own register, not on the broker's website, and confirm the licence is held by the exact legal entity that will receive your money. If the only paperwork is a company registration, your deposit has no regulatory protection.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Practical guidance for anyone dealing with this broker.

  • Do not send money. There is no working website and no supervised entity to receive or return a deposit. Any page or person currently inviting you to fund a KAIFIN account should be treated as unsafe.
  • If you hold a balance, act now and document everything. Gather your account statements, deposit receipts, transaction references and any correspondence, and record the dates. Written evidence is what any later claim will depend on.
  • Go through your payment provider. If you funded by card, ask your bank about a chargeback. If you paid by bank transfer, raise a fraud report with your bank. These are the realistic recovery routes when no regulator is involved.
  • Report it to your own national regulator, even though the company is offshore. Reports are what put firms on warning lists and help the next person.
  • Be careful what you click now. A separate website using the Kaifin CopyTrade name is still live and routes visitors to an unrelated broker through an affiliate link. It is not run by KAIFIN LLC.
  • Ignore anyone offering to recover your funds for a fee. Advance-fee recovery services target people in exactly this position and take a second payment.
  • Check any replacement broker on the regulator's own register before depositing, and confirm the licence is held by the same entity that will take your money.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears.
