Summary of the broker
An Overview of Lirunex
Traditional and CFD markets are volatile. Therefore, brokers used by traders in these markets must be subject to clear regulatory oversight and have a transparent operational structure.
Lirunex is an international multi-entity broker specializing in Forex and CFD trading services worldwide, committed to using technology to advance trading and support automated systems.
It is very important for potential traders to assess their broker’s verifiable regulatory standing, transparent trading conditions, and operational credibility before deciding to open an account with said broker.
This article will briefly discuss Lirunex. It will cover the type of business, its regulatory status, trading conditions, fees, and its general standing in the marketplace.
Business Information
Lirunex Ltd has been registered in Hong Kong (Registration No. 63992197). However, the Hong Kong Companies Registry does not provide regulatory or authorization status for business registration.
Lirunex has many business entities in various countries. The primary entity regulated by an authority is in Labuan, Malaysia.
Lirunex has expanded its operations into new geographic regions (Asia and developing regions of Africa). However, the expansion into a new region does not indicate that any top-tier regulatory licenses are associated with Lirunex.
Leadership and Vision
Jack Foong Kim Weng is the Chief Executive Officer of Lirunex. His vision for Lirunex is to develop a trade-enriching experience through the adoption of technology, including automated trading systems (including expert advisors (EAs)).
It is commonly assumed that EAs are compatible with trading platforms such as MetaTrader. Since this is standard in the industry, we should not consider it a form of regulation for AI-based portfolio management.
Company Evolution
Lirunex began as a software-as-a-service provider and now operates as a brokerage service.
Lirunex has expanded its business into developing regions around the world, with the most rapid growth currently in Africa. However, despite geographic expansion, Lirunex does not necessarily hold a top-tier regulatory license in those new regions.
Key Products and Features
Lirunex lets clients trade various asset classes. These include Forex and CFDs.
Clients can use the two most common retail trading platforms:
MetaTrader 4 (MT4)
MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
Both MT4 and MT5 are available on web-based, mobile, and desktop platform
Trading Products and Instruments
Lirunex clients can access many trading instruments in these asset classes:
Major Currency Pairs; Minor Currency Pairs; Exotic Currency Pairs;
CFD’s on Indices
CFD’s on Commodities
CFD’s on Precious Metals
The trading instruments made available to Lirunex's customers will be determined by the country and/or regulatory entity in which Lirunex operates, as well as the customer's country of residence.
Technology and Trading
Lirunex encourages its clients to use technology-based trading, primarily through the MetaTrader platform.
Lirunex has stated that commissions on certain account types are zero. It is important for you to verify the total cost of executing a trade on an account with a lower commission versus an account with a higher commission, and also verify the spread on each account.
Licensing and Regulatory Requirements
Because Lirunex has multiple entities, each entity has regulatory requirements based on the country in which it is located.
Lirunex’s main regulated entity is located in Labuan, Malaysia. The government of the Maldives will only issue confirmatory business registrations, and no registration for the financial services marketplace exists. A company registered in Hong Kong is strictly corporate and does not provide registration for the financial sector.
Regulatory Overview Table
Regulator | License Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA), Malaysia | Labuan licensed entity (license number should be verified via official registry) | Active (offshore jurisdiction) |
Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission | No confirmed CIF license under Lirunex brand (based on public registers) | Not confirmed |
Maldives Ministry of Economic Development | Business registration only | Not a financial regulator |
Hong Kong Companies Registry | Company No. 63992197 | Corporate registration only |
Traders are strongly advised to verify license details directly through official regulator databases.

User Experience and Market Reputation
As of now, Lirunex is an emerging broker and relatively less known, especially when compared to similar global scale brokers like:
- AvaTrade
- Exness
- Robo Forex
Lirunex does not have Tier 1 Licensing from any major global regulators, such as:
- FCA
- ASIC
- etc.
Consequently, they are not held accountable under the higher-tier regulatory environments that would apply to these locations.
Furthermore, there appears to be no independent assessment or review of the client's experience at this time. Therefore, it is possible that you would regard this broker as a possible higher risk than a broker who is more heavily regulated.
Updating Frequently
Lirunex is adding more offices to serve customers in different parts of the world, especially Africa; however, they have not provided any verification of their new Tier-1 Licenses from an independent third party or any significant changes to their license by a regulatory authority.
Summary
As Lirunex continues to become an international Forex and CFD broker and has:
• Access to MT4 and MT5 Trading Platforms
• No commission accounts
• EA support
• Handles many different types of instruments
Lirunex conducts the majority of its business offshore; therefore, it is at a much higher risk than if it were licensed in a Tier-1 country. Before you open an account and make funds available to your broker, check which country you will be affiliating with and ensure your broker has a valid regulatory license from a reputable authority.

How we know
- 1Confirmed blocks are read verbatim from the standing Regional Restrictions line in the site-wide footer disclaimer, which appears on every page of https://lirunex.com/ and states: "Lirunex does not provide services to residents of Afghanistan, Belarus, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Indonesia, Japan, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Singapore, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, United States of America (U.S.A), Venezuela and Yemen".
- 2"Congo" in that line is recorded in no list: the wording does not distinguish the Republic of the Congo from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the registration selector offers both as separate entries, so the jurisdiction cannot be resolved to a single alpha-2 code.
- 3The registration country-of-residence selector at https://client.lirunex.com/auth/signup is a closed list of 228 entries and is the only place onboarding actually filters: Malaysia is the single country the footer names that the selector also omits, which corroborates MY. The selector does still offer 19 of the other footer-named countries, so the selector and the footer disagree; the selector filters only one country and is therefore treated as a light gate rather than a full encoding of policy, and the footer wording is kept for those 19. Both pages are recorded here rather than the conflict being resolved silently.
- 4Iran is placed on the whitelist rather than among the confirmed blocks, because the operator publishes a dedicated Persian-language site at https://lirunexiran.com/ whose own Regional Restrictions line omits Iran, and its registration flow at https://client.lirunex.online/auth/signup?lang=fa-ir offers "Iran, Islamic Republic of" as a country of residence. The onboarding form outranks the English footer text, which does name Iran; that disagreement is recorded here with both URLs.
- 5The same Persian footer also omits Indonesia and Russia, but no Lirunex page positively accepts either, and absence from a list is not acceptance, so ID and RU stay among the confirmed blocks.
- 6Dependent territories: American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands are recorded as covered by the named block on the United States of America, none of them being separately named by the broker.
- 7No whitelist beyond Iran is recorded: the site publishes no accepted-countries list, and the registration selector's near-universal country list is not read as explicit acceptance.
- 8The Client Agreement at https://assets.lirunex.com/documents/mu/en/lirunex-tnc.pdf was read in full and names no country: its clause 6 (Legal Restrictions) places the compliance obligation on the client instead. The Deposit & Withdrawal page at https://lirunex.com/deposit-withdrawal/ and the Introducing Broker Agreement carry no jurisdiction restrictions of their own beyond the site-wide footer line.
Recorded by WIKILIX research, not published by the broker, and not a guarantee. A country listed nowhere above is not thereby accepted — check LIRUNEX's own terms before you open an account.
