What Wikilix has recorded about Orbex: its history, the licences it holds, its trading conditions and its fees.
Orbex is a forex and CFD brand traded under several companies of the same name, the oldest of which, Orbex Limited, has been registered in Cyprus since December 2009. Trading operations started in 2011. The brand is offered on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, with five account arrangements, leverage of up to 1:500 and a recorded entry deposit of 100 USD.
Two of the group's sites matter most. The main site, , is a working trading site that opens accounts, and regional sites operate for the Middle East and North Africa and for China. The Cyprus site, , is not a trading site. It carries a single notice stating that Orbex Ltd decided to close its doors in the EU after fifteen years in business, that its last effective day of business was 15 July 2025, and that clients were asked to close all open positions and withdraw any remaining funds before that date. A prospective client in the EU should read the brand as closed to them, while the wider group continues to operate.
Orbex's regulatory standing is not confirmed in WIKILIX's record. The profile carries authority entries that this update made no judgement about, because licence verification against each regulator's own public register is handled by a separate regulatory review. Until then, it is not confirmed that Orbex holds a current licence, and the company registrations below are corporate records, not financial regulation.
Several separately registered companies carry the Orbex name, and they are not interchangeable, because the company holding an account determines what recourse its client has. Orbex Limited is registered in Cyprus under number HE 258884, incorporated on 7 December 2009, with a registered address at 82nd Street, No. 6, Ground Floor, 4153 Kato Polemidia, Limassol, a registration confirmed on the register of the Cyprus Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property. Orbex Services Limited is a second Cyprus company, under HE 387329. Beyond Cyprus the record holds Orbex Ltd and Orbex Global Limited in Mauritius, the first under C157876, Orbex Limited in Seychelles under 8429881-1, and Orbex Limited in Saint Lucia under 2025-00714 IBC. The group's own site gives Orbex Global Limited as an alternate name for the brand and publishes a Mauritius address, so a client opening an account today is unlikely to be contracting with the Cyprus company whose EU business has closed. Establishing which entity holds the account is the first thing worth doing.
Five account arrangements are recorded, and the dealing charge rather than the leverage is what separates them:
No verified average spread is held for Orbex, so the from 0.0 pips figure the group advertises on its own site is its own claim rather than a measured one. The commission is the cost that is documented: nothing on forex on the Starter account, 8 USD per lot on Premium, 5 USD per lot on Ultimate and no dealing commission on PAMM. On the funding side, the broker's published charge is zero in both directions on seven of the nine routes, with two exceptions. Withdrawals through the GateToPay card channel carry 4 per cent, and bank wires may attract intermediary bank charges outside Orbex's control.
Leverage is recorded at up to 1:500, and every tier that publishes a figure shares that cap, so the account chosen does not change the ceiling.
Orbex offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, both on Windows and Mac, in the browser and on Android and iOS. No proprietary platform and no cTrader access is recorded for the brand.
Nine funding routes are recorded. Bank wire transfer, Visa and Mastercard are the broadly available ones, each with a recorded 200 USD minimum and no broker fee; cards clear within about two hours and wires in three to five working days, with withdrawals returning to the same card or account. Tether (USDT) is accepted on the TRON TRC-20 network only, from 50 USDT, which is the lowest recorded entry of any route, and transfers sent on another network may be lost. Several routes are regional: Skrill and Neteller are recorded as available outside the European Union only, while eNet and Knet are Kuwaiti channels settling in Kuwaiti dinar. GateToPay tops up the Orbex prepaid card and is therefore open to card holders only. Wallet withdrawals are recorded at around 24 hours and card withdrawals at three to five business days.
The contact points on record are the telephone number +357 25588855 and the address backoffice@orbex.com.cy, with live chat recorded as available during business hours and support recorded in English. The group also runs a help centre at covering registration, deposits and withdrawals, the platforms and the card product, and a Telegram channel for market alerts. The recorded telephone number and address are the ones the Cyprus closure notice gives, so a client of another group entity should confirm the right channel rather than assume these reach it.
Orbex reads as a long established brand that has moved its retail business offshore rather than wound it down. The Cyprus company that served EU clients has closed, while the group continues to trade from its main site behind Mauritius, Seychelles and Saint Lucia registrations. The offering itself is conventional: both MetaTrader platforms, tiered accounts, 1:500 leverage and broad funding coverage, with nothing that stands out in either direction. Before funding an account, the key question is which company holds the account and what, if anything, supervises it. That is the part that remains unconfirmed. Worth reading alongside that is the warning the group publishes on its Chinese market site, that it never asks for a further payment, a membership upgrade or additional margin before releasing a withdrawal; as the brand's own account of a genuine Orbex process, it is a useful test for anyone who is told otherwise.

Common questions about Orbex
The group's main site is , and its Chinese market site names orbex.com and orbexchina.com as the official addresses. Regional sites also operate for the Middle East and North Africa, alongside a help centre at support.orbex.com.
The Cyprus address, www.orbex.com.cy, is no longer a trading site and carries only the notice closing the EU business. Orbex also warns on that same Chinese market site that it never asks for a further payment, a membership upgrade or additional margin before releasing a withdrawal.
It depends on the route. Card withdrawals are recorded at three to five business days and return to the same card, and bank wires at three to five working days, returning to the same account.
Wallet routes are faster on record: Skrill, Neteller, eNet and the GateToPay card channel are all recorded at around 24 hours.
The commission is what separates the tiers: nothing on forex on Starter, 8 USD per lot on Premium, 5 USD per lot on Ultimate and no dealing commission on PAMM. No verified average spread is held for Orbex, so the from 0.0 pips figure the group advertises is its own claim rather than a measured one.
On funding, the published broker charge is zero both ways on seven of the nine recorded routes. The exceptions are a 4 per cent withdrawal charge through the GateToPay card channel and intermediary bank fees on wires, which are outside Orbex's control.
Five arrangements are recorded: Starter from 100 USD with no commission on forex, Premium from 500 USD at 8 USD per lot, Ultimate from 25,000 USD at 5 USD per lot, and PAMM from 500 USD with no dealing commission for managed allocations.
An Islamic swap free arrangement is also recorded, with no separate deposit, leverage or commission figure. Every tier that publishes a leverage figure is capped at 1:500.
100 USD, which is the entry deposit on the Starter account and the headline figure on record. The other tiers ask for more: 500 USD for Premium and for the PAMM arrangement, and 25,000 USD for Ultimate.
The funding route matters too. Most recorded methods carry a 200 USD minimum, while Tether (USDT) is recorded from 50 USDT, the lowest entry of any route.
Live chat is available, but during business hours rather than around the clock. Orbex also publishes a telephone number, +357 25588855, an email address, backoffice@orbex.com.cy, and a Telegram channel for market alerts.
A self service help centre at covers registration, deposits and withdrawals, the platforms and the card product. Support is recorded in English, and the group's own site advertises 24/5 rather than 24/7 cover.
Clients of the Cyprus business should follow the notice Orbex publishes on : close all open positions and request withdrawal of any remaining funds in the wallet or account. That notice gives 15 July 2025 as the last effective day of business and directs questions to +357 25588855 or backoffice@orbex.com.cy.
Clients of the group's other companies are not covered by that notice, because the wider group continues to trade from its main site. Anyone unsure which company holds their account should establish that first.
No. Orbex states on its own Cyprus site that Orbex Ltd decided to close its doors in the EU after fifteen years in business, giving 15 July 2025 as its last effective day of business.
That site now carries nothing but the closure notice. The wider group is a separate matter: its main site at is a working trading site that opens accounts, and regional sites operate for the Middle East and North Africa and for China.
The contact points on record are the telephone number +357 25588855 and the email address backoffice@orbex.com.cy, which are also the two the Cyprus closure notice gives. Live chat is available during business hours, and a Telegram channel carries market alerts.
For self service, the group runs a help centre at . Because the recorded number and address belong to the Cyprus business, a client of another group company should confirm the right channel rather than assume these reach it.
Up to 1:500. Every Orbex account tier that publishes a leverage figure shares that same cap, so the choice of account does not raise or lower the ceiling.
The Starter, Premium, Ultimate and PAMM arrangements are all recorded at up to 1:500, and no separate figure is recorded for the Islamic swap free account. Leverage at that level magnifies losses as much as gains.
Nine routes are recorded: bank wire transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, eNet, Knet, Tether (USDT) and GateToPay. Bank wire and the cards carry a 200 USD minimum and no broker fee, with cards clearing in about two hours and wires in three to five working days.
USDT is accepted on the TRON TRC-20 network only, from 50 USDT. Several routes are regional: Skrill and Neteller outside the European Union only, eNet and Knet for Kuwait, and GateToPay for Orbex prepaid card holders, whose withdrawals carry 4 per cent.
Orbex offers both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Each runs on Windows and Mac, in the browser, and on Android and iOS.
No proprietary platform and no cTrader access is recorded for the brand.
Orbex's regulatory standing is not confirmed, so no licence should be relied on. Licence verification against each regulator's own register is handled by a separate regulatory review, and this update made no judgement about it.
What is documented is corporate: Orbex Limited is registered in Cyprus under HE 258884, incorporated on 7 December 2009, and five further companies carry the Orbex name in Cyprus, Mauritius, Seychelles and Saint Lucia. A company registration is not financial regulation. The Cyprus company has also closed its EU business, with a last day of business of 15 July 2025.
