Is TASS a scam?

Likely scamMEDIUM confidence
Updated September 19, 2026
Unlicensed solicitation with misleading regulatory claims

We rate TASS a high risk. The Bank of Russia lists tassfx.com and my.tassfx.com by name as showing signs of an illegal securities-market participant, and the only licence behind the brand is a Comoros offshore authorisation whose own certificate ran to 18 February 2025.

  • The Bank of Russia added both of this broker's exact domains to its list of companies with signs of illegal financial-market activity on 21 July 2022, under the heading for an illegal professional securities-market participant.
  • Its single licence, Mwali (MISA) number BFX2024003, was issued on 18 January 2024 with a licence end date of 18 February 2025 printed on the issuer's own certificate. The site still presents that authorisation as current.
  • The Saint Vincent line in the footer is a company registration number, not regulation. The Saint Vincent authority does not license or supervise forex brokers at all.
  • The site states it does not serve residents of the Russian Federation, yet it is Russian-language by default, accepts roubles on MIR cards, and processes bonus requests on Moscow business hours.
  • In fairness, we found no confirmed pattern of refused withdrawals, and the company, its registration number 445 LLC 2020 and its stated founding year of 2020 all hold up against the records.

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Critical
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

7/10 · High

A genuine but tier-4 Comoros licence whose own certificate end date of 18 February 2025 has passed, combined with a Bank of Russia warning-list entry naming both domains and three and a half years of deposit-taking with no licence at all.

Identity & transparency

6/10 · High

Entity, registration number and beneficial owners are disclosed and consistent since 2022, but the operating centre in Kazakhstan is not stated, an unlicensed Cyprus address is published, and the restricted-countries statement conflicts with the payment rails.

Withdrawals & conduct

5/10 · Moderate

Isolated fund-integrity reports from August 2022 describing unauthorised trades and unresponsive support, clustered in time but thin on checkable detail and confined to low-grade review pages; no advance-fee demand and no confirmed withdrawal-refusal pattern.

Reputation

7/10 · High

A regulator warning-list entry plus consistently negative Russian-language coverage, and no Trustpilot presence at all for a broker in its sixth year; offset by the fact that much of the negative material is low-quality review-farm content.

Website claims

8/10 · Critical

Claims a regulated broker with segregated custody and insured funds without evidence, frames a Saint Vincent company registration as regulation by a financial authority, advertises a licence whose certificate end date has passed, and states it does not serve Russia while accepting roubles on MIR cards.

Operational history

2/10 · Low

Six years of verified continuous operation under one brand and one entity, with the domain registered 3 July 2020 matching the stated founding year of 2020 and no age misrepresentation.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: TASS, trading as TASS FX
  • Legal entity: TASS LLC
  • Registered: Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre, Beachmont, Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, registration number 445 LLC 2020
  • Also listed: a contact address at 28 Georgiou Griva Digeni, 1066 Lefkosia, Cyprus, which carries no Cypriot authorisation
  • Website: tassfx.com, with the client portal at my.tassfx.com
  • People on the licence record: the Mwali certificate names Roza Khatsiyeva as chief executive and beneficial owner and Issa Abuyev as beneficial owner, both at addresses in Astana, Kazakhstan. The support number published on the site is a Kazakh mobile line.
  • Only licence: Mwali International Services Authority (MISA), Comoros, number BFX2024003, a tier-4 offshore authorisation
  • Offers: forex, metals, indices, cryptocurrencies and share CFDs on MetaTrader 5, leverage to 1:500, deposits by bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard and MIR cards, and Binance, with withdrawals by USDT, Binance or card

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

One regulator has already acted on this operation, and the rest of the picture is a business that presents far more regulatory standing than it holds.

  • A regulator names these exact domains. The Bank of Russia's list of companies with signs of illegal activity on the financial market carries an entry for TASS that identifies both tassfx.com and my.tassfx.com. It was added on 21 July 2022 under the category for an illegal professional securities-market participant. This is not a brand-name coincidence; the domains listed are the ones in front of us.
  • The only real licence has a spent end date. The Mwali registrar's own verification record for Tass LLC shows licence BFX2024003 issued on 18 January 2024 with a licence end date of 18 February 2025. The register still flags the row as active, but that end date has long passed and no renewal appears on the record, while the footer of every page continues to present the authorisation as current.
  • Four years of taking deposits with no licence at all. Archived copies of the site from 2022 show the same brand, the same Saint Vincent entity and the same registration number, and no regulator named anywhere. The Mwali licence only arrived in January 2024. For the first three and a half years of its life this was an unlicensed deposit-taking forex business.
  • Saint Vincent is dressed up as regulation. The footer reads that the company is registered by the Financial Services Authority of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. That authority has stated repeatedly that it does not license, regulate, monitor or supervise forex trading or brokerage. The number 445 LLC 2020 is a company registration and nothing more.
  • The protection claim is not supported. The home page describes a regulated broker with segregated custody and insurance of client money. Nothing in the licence record, the documents or the client agreement evidences segregation or any insurance, and a Mwali authorisation carries no compensation scheme.
  • The exclusion list is contradicted by the cashier. The site says it has no presence in the Russian Federation and does not register Russian clients. It is nonetheless Russian-language by default, quotes deposits and withdrawals in roubles on MIR cards, and tells clients that bonus requests are handled between 10am and 6pm Moscow time. That contradiction is the same conduct the Bank of Russia listed.
  • Complaints exist but do not yet make a pattern. Russian-language reviews from August 2022 describe trades appearing on accounts that the client says he did not open, a platform the reviewer calls fake, and support going quiet. They are time-clustered but thin on checkable detail, they sit mostly on low-grade review pages, and we treat the pattern as unconfirmed rather than as proof of a withdrawal trap.

Taken together that is one regulator-grade finding plus several independent strands of misrepresentation. It supports a likely-scam rating. It does not, on what is on the record today, prove that client money is being taken and kept, and we have not written that.

Note on operating history: the 6.2-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

That end date has passed, yet the broker still advertises the authorisation as current on every page.

  • E3An archived copy of the broker's home page from November 2022 shows the same brand, the same Saint Vincent entity and the same registration number 445 LLC 2020, with no regulator named anywhere on the page. The Mwali licence was only issued in January 2024, so the business took deposits for about three and a half years with no licence at all.

  • E4The funding page lists deposits and withdrawals in roubles on Visa, Mastercard and MIR cards, and states that bonus requests are processed between 10am and 6pm Moscow time, while the footer states the company has no presence in the Russian Federation and does not register Russian clients. The site is also Russian-language by default.

    StrongTASS deposit and withdrawal terms
  • E5The footer on every page states that TASS LLC is registered by the Financial Services Authority of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines under number 445 LLC 2020, placing a company registration in a regulatory framing. That authority does not license, regulate, monitor or supervise forex trading or brokerage.

    StrongTASS company page footer
  • E6The home page presents TASS as a regulated broker with segregated custody and insurance of client funds. No insurer, policy, segregation arrangement or banking partner is named anywhere on the site or in its documents, and the only licence held carries no compensation scheme.

  • E7Two client reviews from 7 and 12 August 2022 describe three losing trades appearing on an account that the client says he did not open, support that stopped responding, and a platform the reviewer calls fake with promises of 400 percent returns. The reports are clustered in time but give no amounts, ticket numbers or transaction detail.

ModerateRussian-language broker review page for tassfx.com
  • E8The 2022 home page carried a recruitment notice seeking sales managers for China, India, Indonesia and Malaysia with local language skills at up to 2000 dollars a month, handled through a Telegram contact, indicating a regional telephone sales operation behind the brand.

    ModerateArchived copy of tassfx.com, 23 November 2022
  • E9The Mwali register's list of authorised brokerage companies records entry 141 as Tass LLC, licence BFX2024003, dated 18 January 2024, status active, with the website recorded as tassfx.com. The entity name, company number and domain all match the operation examined, so this licence genuinely belongs to this broker and is not borrowed from another firm.

ModerateMwali International Services Authority, list of authorised brokerage companies
  • E10The domain tassfx.com was registered on 3 July 2020 and remains under continuous registration to 2027. This matches the broker's claim of being founded in 2020 and the 2020 company registration number, so no age misrepresentation is present.

    ModerateVerisign domain registration record
  • E11The deposit bonus runs at 40 percent of the deposit, states plainly that bonus funds cannot be withdrawn but profits can, and carries no trading-volume lock. Funding is available by bank transfer and card as well as crypto, with fees published. This is materially less restrictive than the bonus traps typical of fraudulent operations.

    ModerateTASS promotions terms
  • E12The licence record names Roza Khatsiyeva as chief executive and beneficial owner and Issa Abuyev as beneficial owner, both at addresses in Astana, Kazakhstan, while the company page publishes a Kazakh mobile support number and a Cyprus contact address. The operating centre is therefore Kazakhstan, not the Saint Vincent jurisdiction of incorporation.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case against this broker is real, so the points in its favour deserve to be stated plainly.

  • The licence is genuine and it is theirs. We opened the Mwali register and the entry matches on every leg that matters: the entity is Tass LLC, the company number is 445 LLC 2020, and the website recorded against the licence is tassfx.com itself. This is not a borrowed licence number and this is not a clone of another firm. Many brokers in this risk band fail exactly that test, and this one passes it.
  • The age claim is honest. The site says founded in 2020. The domain was registered on 3 July 2020, the company number encodes 2020, and archived copies show the same brand trading continuously from July 2020 onward. Brokers in this category usually inflate their history. This one did not.
  • There is a real trading operation behind it. A live MetaTrader 5 server is associated with the brand, execution statistics are published by third parties, and the client portal is working. This is not a bare landing page with a crypto wallet attached.
  • The cashier is not the classic trap. Deposits and withdrawals run over bank transfer and Visa, Mastercard and MIR cards as well as crypto, rather than crypto only, and the fees are published. The deposit bonus is a modest 40 percent, it states that bonus funds cannot be withdrawn but profits can, and we found no hidden volume lock designed to make withdrawal unreachable.
  • Identity is disclosed further than most. The licence record names the chief executive and both beneficial owners and their city. A great many offshore brokers disclose nobody at all.
  • The Bank of Russia listing has a narrower meaning than it looks. That list captures firms soliciting Russian residents without a Russian licence. Almost every offshore broker serving that market ends up on it. It is solid proof of unlicensed solicitation. It is not a finding of theft, and we have not treated it as one.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

These are the specific things that would move this rating in either direction.

  • Would improve it: a renewed Mwali certificate showing a current licence end date, which would remove the single largest documentary problem with the regulation section.
  • Would improve it: removing the Saint Vincent authority from the footer, or rewording it so it plainly reads as a company registration rather than regulation.
  • Would improve it: dropping the claim of insured and segregated client money, or publishing the insurer, the policy and the banking arrangement that supports it.
  • Would improve it: either closing rouble and MIR funding and the Moscow-hours service desk, or removing the statement that the company does not serve the Russian Federation. The two cannot both be true.
  • Would improve it: the Bank of Russia removing tassfx.com and my.tassfx.com from its list.
  • Would worsen it sharply: three or more clients on separate platforms describing the same withdrawal failure with amounts, dates and ticket numbers, which would turn an unconfirmed complaint picture into a proven pattern.
  • Would worsen it sharply: any credible report of a client being told to pay a tax, fee or insurance charge before funds are released. That single pattern has no legitimate counterpart.
  • Would worsen it sharply: a second regulator naming the domain, or the Mwali register moving the entry to cancelled while the site keeps advertising it.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

14 questions
Is TASS a scam?

We rate TASS a likely scam at 70 percent risk. The Bank of Russia lists both of its domains as showing signs of an illegal securities-market participant, and the only licence behind the brand is a Comoros offshore authorisation whose certificate end date has passed. We did not find a confirmed pattern of stolen withdrawals, so our rating rests on unlicensed solicitation and misleading regulatory claims rather than proven theft.

Is TASS a fraud?

No court or regulator has made a finding of fraud against TASS LLC, and we found no fraud-related enforcement action or court record naming the entity. What does exist is a Bank of Russia listing for signs of illegal securities-market activity, a lapsed licence certificate still advertised as current, and a claim of insured client money that is not supported by any document. On that basis we assess the risk of fraud as high, but we state that as our assessment, not as an established fact.

Is TASS regulated?

Only in the weakest sense. TASS LLC holds licence BFX2024003 from the Mwali International Services Authority in the Comoros, which we confirmed on that authority's own register. MISA is an offshore registrar rather than a functioning financial supervisor, it operates no compensation scheme, and its licences are not recognised by mainstream regulators. TASS holds no licence from any tier-1 or tier-2 authority.

What does the Saint Vincent registration mean?

Very little. Registration number 445 LLC 2020 is a company registration in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. That country's Financial Services Authority has stated repeatedly that it does not license, regulate, monitor or supervise forex trading or brokerage. Presenting it in a footer next to a licence number makes it look like regulatory approval when it is simply proof that a company exists.

Is the MISA licence still valid?

That is the sharpest problem in the file. The Mwali registrar's verification record for Tass LLC shows the licence issued on 18 January 2024 with a licence end date of 18 February 2025. The register row still carries an active flag, but the end date printed on the certificate passed more than a year and a half ago and no renewal is shown, while the broker continues to advertise the authorisation as current.

Can I withdraw my money from TASS?

Some clients evidently do, and the cashier supports bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard and MIR cards, Binance and USDT. Withdrawal fees are published at 4 percent on cards and 3 percent on Binance. However, reviews from 2022 describe accounts where support stopped responding, and the terms allow withdrawal timeframes to be extended until ownership documents are supplied. Complete verification before you request money, and withdraw the full balance rather than in parts.

Is my money safe with TASS?

No. The home page describes a regulated broker with segregated custody and insured funds, but no insurer, policy or segregation arrangement is evidenced anywhere in the broker's documents. A Comoros offshore licence provides no deposit protection and no compensation scheme, so in a dispute there is no authority that will compel repayment.

Who owns TASS?

The Mwali licence record names Roza Khatsiyeva as chief executive and beneficial owner and Issa Abuyev as beneficial owner, both at addresses in Astana, Kazakhstan. The contracting company is TASS LLC of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The site also publishes a Cyprus contact address and a Kazakh mobile support line, but it holds no Cypriot authorisation.

How old is TASS?

About six years, and this is the part of its story that checks out. The domain tassfx.com was registered on 3 July 2020, the company number 445 LLC 2020 points to the same year, and archived copies show the brand trading continuously from July 2020. The claim of being founded in 2020 is accurate, though we could not obtain a precise incorporation date from the Saint Vincent registry, so the figure rests on the domain record.

Is TASS a clone of another broker?

No. We ran the clone test and it passes. The licence register records the entity as Tass LLC, the company number as 445 LLC 2020 and the website as tassfx.com, all of which match the operation we examined. TASS is not wearing another firm's credentials, which is a genuine point in its favour.

Why is TASS on the Bank of Russia list?

The Bank of Russia added TASS to its list of companies with signs of illegal activity on the financial market on 21 July 2022, identifying tassfx.com and my.tassfx.com, under the category for an illegal professional securities-market participant. In plain terms, it was soliciting Russian residents without a Russian licence. The broker's own footer now says it does not serve the Russian Federation, yet the site remains Russian-language by default and accepts roubles on MIR cards.

Does TASS accept traders from my country?

The site names Belgium, North Korea, France, the Russian Federation, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and Belarus as excluded, along with countries on international sanctions or high-risk lists. Its funding currencies point to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Moldova and Turkey. Note that being accepted is not the same as being protected: the firm is not authorised in any of these markets.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Find the licence number on the broker's own site, then open the regulator's register directly and confirm the entity name, the website and the licence status and dates all match. Check whether the authority is a real supervisor with a compensation scheme or an offshore registrar. Search the exact domain, not the brand name, on regulator warning lists. If the only licence is offshore, assume you have no recourse.

What do I do if I have already lost money to TASS?

Gather every record you have: deposit receipts, ticket numbers, chat logs and account statements. If you funded by card, contact your bank about a chargeback immediately, because those rights are time-limited. Report the firm to your national financial regulator and to your police. Do not pay anyone who promises to recover your funds for an upfront fee, as that is a common second scam aimed at people who have already been hit.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat this as a broker to avoid unless you are willing to lose what you deposit.

  • Do not deposit money you need back. The only authorisation behind TASS is a Comoros offshore licence with no compensation scheme and no practical route of complaint, and its certificate end date has passed.
  • Do not read the Saint Vincent line as regulation. It is a company registration number. That authority licenses no forex brokers and will not help you recover funds.
  • If you already hold a balance, request a withdrawal now for the full amount rather than in parts, complete identity verification before you ask so it cannot be used as a reason to pause the payment, and keep your own record of every ticket, date and amount.
  • Never pay a fee to get money out. If anyone asks for a tax, commission, insurance or unlock payment before releasing your balance, stop and treat it as theft in progress.
  • Use card chargeback rights quickly. Card deposits carry time limits; your bank is a faster route than the broker in a dispute.
  • If you are in a country the broker says it does not serve, understand that you have no protection from your own regulator either, because the firm is not authorised there.
  • Be wary of anyone offering to recover your money for an upfront fee. Victims of brokers in this category are routinely targeted a second time by recovery scams.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed September 19, 2026.
