UNIPRIME's contract lets it block your account and freeze your money if you post criticism of the broker. 4 of these 4 figures come from a clause we rate critical, which means it can take your money or your profit rather than only delay it.

What the documents say

24 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from UNICORN's own files

01

Say something UNIPRIME calls false about it, or insult its staff, and it can close your account and block your funds. The contract puts this clause inside the section on defaults and set-off, not anywhere near the complaints procedure.

Why this matters

Posting a bad review or a complaint on social media can cost you access to your balance. UNIPRIME decides on its own what counts as false and what counts as an insult, and the contract sets no test and no appeal.

Exhibit 1CriticalRarely seen

In case of observing any action by the user, such as spreading false information about UNIPRIME , insulting the broker and its employees, the broker has the right to close the user's account, block their funds, and also pursue legal action against the user through legal authorities.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must handle complaints fairly and must not discourage a client from complaining or from referring a complaint onwards. This contract lets UNIPRIME block a client's funds over what the client says about it.

UNICORN is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingBrokers routinely reserve the right to close accounts. Tying account closure and a freeze on client money to what a client says in public is very unusual in a retail trading agreement, and it puts a price on complaining.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 20Your money can be blocked over a public complaint, and the only court you may bring that to sits in Mauritius.
02

If you do not act on a written notice from UNIPRIME within 12 hours, it permanently blocks your account. The same clause says the money is then kept by the broker to cover what it calls harm and loss.

Why this matters

Twelve hours covers one night's sleep. A notice sent while you are asleep, or to an old email address, can end with your account shut for good and your balance retained.

Our readingDeadlines to respond to a broker are normal. Twelve hours is shorter than any ordinary notice period, and a clause that converts a missed deadline into the broker keeping the balance is not something a retail agreement usually contains.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 3The same short document first withholds your profit for using a VPS, then removes the account entirely if you do not reply in time.
03

Deposit money and fail to trade 5 lots for every $1,000, and UNIPRIME treats you as using it to move money. It then takes 10% of the amount when you ask to withdraw. Its anti money laundering policy states the same rule at 5%.

Why this matters

You can lose a tenth of your own deposit without ever placing a losing trade. Deposit $1,000, decide the platform is not for you, and $100 goes before the rest comes back.

Exhibit 4CriticalHarder than usual10%

According to anti-money laundering regulations, if a user deposits funds into a broker without conducting any trades and intends to make a withdrawal, it is considered using the broker as a money transfer service. The broker is entitled to deduct 10% of the amount when processing the withdrawal request. (For every $1000 deposited, you must have executed a minimum of 5 lots of trades.)

What it costsDeposit $1,000, trade nothing, and ask for it back. UNIPRIME keeps $100 and returns $900.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must give a retail client the costs and charges of the service before that client trades, in one place and in good time. Here the same charge appears as 10% in the terms and as 5% in the anti money laundering policy.

UNICORN is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 5An untraded account pays 15 EUR every 15 days while it sits there, and then loses 10% of what is left on the way out.
04

After 60 days without a trade, a deposit or an open position, UNIPRIME charges 15 EUR. If the account stays quiet it charges another 15 EUR every 15 days after that, until the balance reaches zero.

Why this matters

That is roughly 30 EUR a month for leaving your own money alone. A small account left dormant for six months is emptied by the fee before you come back to it.

UNIPRIME's fund protection page says client money is wholly segregated from company funds and held in separate bank accounts. The contract says the third party holding your money may keep it in an omnibus account where it may not be possible to separate it from other corporate funds.

Why this matters

Segregation is what stands between your balance and the broker's creditors. The contract also lets the firm holding your money take a lien over it, and says UNIPRIME is not liable if that firm fails.

Firms licensed by the FCA, CySEC or ASIC must hold retail client money in client bank accounts kept apart from the firm's own money, and must reconcile those accounts regularly. This contract permits pooling in an omnibus account outside the European Union with a lien attached.

UNICORN is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

06

Expert advisors are banned outright on ECN Pro and ECN Gold accounts. If UNIPRIME detects one it suspends the account, and the contract says no withdrawal from the main capital will be allowed.

Why this matters

This is not a penalty on your profit. It is your original deposit that the contract says you cannot take out, and the ban sits in the definitions section rather than with the account descriptions.

Exhibit 6CriticalHarder than usual

The use of Expert Advisors (EAs) in ECN Pro and ECN Gold accounts is strictly prohibited. If detected, this action will result in the immediate suspension of the client's trading account, and no transactions or withdrawals from the main capital will be permitted.

Keeping what you earned3 clauses flagged

Run your trading software on a VPS in a way UNIPRIME says hides your expert advisor, and it blocks the account and keeps the profit. You are left able to withdraw only the money you paid in.

When markets move fast or gap, UNIPRIME says trades can execute at what it calls wrong prices. Its execution policy then lets it cancel any profit that came from those trades, without prior warning and at its own discretion.

Why this matters

News events and market opens are when your best trades happen. This clause lets UNIPRIME decide afterwards that the price was wrong and remove the gain, while the losing side of the same conditions stays with you.

Taking a UNIPRIME bonus locks the money you paid in yourself

The $500 bonus needs a $50 deposit and 50 standard lots in one month, and your own $50 is not withdrawable until you finish. Trades under 3 minutes lose their profit plus a further 20% of what remains. If UNIPRIME decides a bonus was misused it blocks every account linked to you, in your name or any other, and stops withdrawals from all of them.

Locked deposits2 clauses flagged

If UNIPRIME decides you have abused a bonus, credit or promotion, it blocks every account linked to you. The clause reaches accounts held in your name and accounts held under any other name, and you may not withdraw the money in them.

Why this matters

Your existing balance is locked, not just the bonus. The contract does not define abuse, does not say who decides, and does not explain how an account under another name is linked to you.

Exhibit 7CriticalHarder than usual

If the broker detects any such misuse, all accounts associated with the client, whether in their name or under any other name, will be blocked. Additionally, the client will not be permitted to withdraw any existing funds from these accounts.

The $500 bonus needs a $50 deposit and 50 standard lots inside one month. Until you finish, your own $50 stays locked. Trades shorter than 3 minutes lose their profit and cost you a further 20% of what is left.

Why this matters

The penalty reaches beyond the trades that broke the rule and takes a fifth of your legitimate profit too. On the no deposit bonus, withdrawing early wipes the bonus and deactivates your trading account for good.

UNIPRIME names a different regulator depending on which language you read

The English fund protection page says UNIPRIME operates under the regulation of ASIC. The same paragraph in Persian names the FSC. The client agreement and the licences page name neither, listing only company registrations in Mauritius, Saint Vincent and Saint Lucia. The same page promises wholly segregated funds while the contract permits an omnibus account with a lien over it.

Language arbitrage1 clause flagged

The English fund protection page says UNIPRIME operates under the regulation of ASIC. The same paragraph on the Persian page names the FSC instead. The client agreement and the licences page name neither, and list company registrations in Mauritius, Saint Vincent and Saint Lucia.

Why this matters

ASIC is Australia's regulator and its protections are among the strongest available to a retail trader. Nothing you sign gives you them, and swapping the regulator's name by language means two readers of the same page are told different things.

Exhibit 14CriticalRarely seen

UNICORN is not licensed by this regulator, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingOffshore brokers commonly describe themselves loosely as regulated. Naming one specific top tier regulator in one language and a different one in another, in the same paragraph of the same page, is unusual and cannot both be right.

  • Same clause as Exhibit 13The regulator claim and the segregation promise are two halves of one paragraph on the same marketing page.

UNIPRIME changes the terms of your trade and bills you for the result

UNIPRIME can widen spreads, cut leverage and raise margin without notice, and you agree to indemnify it for any losses that widening causes. Expert advisors are banned outright on ECN Pro and ECN Gold, and the penalty blocks withdrawal of your main capital, not just profit. Leverage above 1:500 is cut mid-trade the moment your balance dips under $2,500.

Who bears the risk3 clauses flagged

UNIPRIME can widen spreads, change leverage and raise margin requirements without notice. You then agree to indemnify UNIPRIME for any and all losses that occur because it did so.

Why this matters

The broker sets the prices, changes them when it wants, and the contract makes you pay for what follows. That turns a decision only UNIPRIME controls into a bill only you can receive.

Anyone who has worked for UNIPRIME, or partnered with it as an introducing broker, may not open an account without written approval. If they do, the contract says the account is closed and any funds held within it are confiscated.

Why this matters

Our readingRestricting staff trading is normal. Writing that the balance is confiscated, rather than returned when the account is closed, is a step most retail agreements do not take.

Leverage above 1:500 needs a balance over $2,500. If your balance falls under that while trades are open, UNIPRIME immediately cuts your leverage to the standard limit.

Why this matters

Leverage is how much the broker lets you control with a given deposit, so cutting it raises the margin your open trades need. A losing run that dips you below $2,500 can therefore trigger a margin call at the worst moment.

Exhibit 17WarningHarder than usual$2500

UNIPRIME publishes two different penalties for the same conduct

Deposit money and fail to trade 5 lots for every $1,000, and UNIPRIME takes 10% when you withdraw. Its own anti money laundering policy states that same rule at 5%, in all four languages. The commission document's worked example shows a further 0.9% commission and an overnight charge of $173 a night on a position backed by $500.

Cost disclosure1 clause flagged

UNIPRIME's commission document works through a bitcoin trade and shows a 0.9% commission taking $486 from a $2,000 gain. The same example puts the overnight charge at $173 for a single night on a position backed by $500.

Why this matters

Nearly a quarter of that profit goes in commission before you hold the trade at all. Keep it open for a week and the overnight charge alone is more than double the money you had to put up.

The contract allows a withdrawal fee of 5% and sets the minimum withdrawal at $50, or $25 on a Cent account. The public deposit page instead says the minimum is $10 and shows most withdrawal methods as carrying no commission.

Why this matters

Withdrawals must go back the same way the deposit came in, to an account in your own name. For crypto, UNIPRIME will only pay to the exact wallet address the deposit was sent from.

Complaining about UNIPRIME is written into the contract as a risk to your money

UNIPRIME can close your account and block your funds if it decides you spread false information about it or insulted its staff. That clause sits in the netting and default section, nowhere near the complaints procedure. Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC may deal on their own account against a client, but must identify the conflict and disclose it clearly enough for the client to make an informed decision. Here the disclosure sits in the agreement while the fund protection page states the opposite.

UNICORN is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

The same digits appear as a company number and as a licence number

The agreement calls 26505 BC 2021 a Saint Vincent companies registry number. Every page footer prints those digits under the heading FSA License Number. The anti money laundering policy cites the Cypriot laws of 2007, 2010 and 2013 and reports to an unnamed International Regulator, while requiring that every new client be introduced by an existing one.

Why this matters

A company registration is paperwork any incorporator can buy. Presented as a licence number it suggests a regulator is supervising how UNIPRIME handles your money, and no document here names one that does.

The documents this reading is based on

28 files, all published by UNICORN. Each shows when we read it and a fingerprint of its wording.

WIKILIX keeps the copy of each file it read, and does not republish it: what is published is the fingerprint of its wording. Download the file yourself and hash its text, lowercased with runs of whitespace collapsed, and a matching fingerprint means the wording quoted above is still the wording UNICORN publishes.

Who the contract is with

UNIPRIME LTD

You contract with UNIPRIME LTD. The agreement gives it three registrations at once: Mauritius (AC 177815), Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (26505 BC 2021) and Saint Lucia (2024-00028). Mauritius law governs the contract and Mauritius courts hear disputes. UNIPRIME also says it does not serve residents of Mauritius. So the courts you must use sit in the one country it will not take clients from. The English footer names Saint Lucia as the registration. The Persian, Arabic and Kurdish footers name Mauritius instead.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

UNIPRIME publishes eight legal documents from one footer link, in four languages, free to read. Negative balance protection is written into the contract, so a loss cannot push you below zero. The agreement also promises ten business days written notice before any material change to it, which many offshore brokers do not offer. On termination it sends your money back to the account it came from.

The English Terms and Conditions is the longest document here and we did not read it end to end. We read the first two thirds in full, then read the later clauses on UNIPRIME's own page, and every quotation from it comes from one of those two. Six of the eight documents have no earlier version available, so most of this reading has nothing to compare against. We checked the Arabic, Persian and Kurdish versions for the specific clauses quoted here, not end to end. One legal document the footer links to, Introducing Brokers & Expert, was missing from the download set. We found it ourselves and read it on the broker's site.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the UNICORN file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

macOS or Linux:
  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document UNICORN publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge UNICORN on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Sep 4, 2026.

If you represent UNICORN and a clause has changed, been withdrawn, or is being read out of context, tell us and we will re-read the documents and update this page. Corrections from the broker are welcome and are published with the reading they change. Contact us.

This is a reading of a contract, not legal advice and not a ruling on UNICORN. Whether its licence is real and current is a separate check on the broker profile.
