Payout policy
BluSky pays out on a daily cycle rather than a fixed schedule, and there is no minimum number of trading days before the first request.
- When you can request: any weekday, as soon as your balance is above your starting balance. Orbit accounts run on a three trading day cadence instead.
- Processing: requests submitted before 11:00am ET on a trading day are processed the same day. Later requests move to the next business day. Transfers land in one to three business days depending on your bank and method.
- Minimums: $250 on standard Sim Funded and brokerage accounts, $500 on Orbit Sim Funded accounts. Orbit brokerage accounts work from a $100 profit threshold.
- Caps: withdrawals are capped on a rolling seven day basis, sized to the account. Each individual payout frees its own cap space exactly seven days after approval rather than resetting on a calendar week.
- Between requests: you need one genuine profitable day between payouts. Opening and closing contracts purely to qualify does not count.
- Payment rails: Gusto or Rise Pay. Traders are paid as independent contractors on a 1099-NEC, and traders outside the US submit a W-8BEN on their first payout.
- What voids a payout: a submitted payout must be claimed within 30 days or it is forfeited, so onboarding with Gusto or Rise needs to be completed promptly. Payouts are also held while a Risk Team review is open, and trading during a review forfeits the account outright.
Profits above $10,000 on a Sim Funded account trigger a brokerage review before they can be transferred, with up to $10,000 per account and $30,000 per trader carried into a live account.

Trading costs
A commission is charged on every market; the per-lot figures are below.
- Futures
- Stocks
Commission on a BluSky evaluation depends on the platform you pick at checkout.
- Rithmic, Volumetrica and Tradesea: $2.00 per side on E-mini contracts and $0.50 per side on Micro contracts during the evaluation. Once funded, rates are set by the brokerage.
- Tradovate: brokerage pricing applies at every stage, from evaluation through to a live account.
- EUREX: unavailable on Rithmic, Volumetrica and Tradesea. It is available on Tradovate with Level 2 data.
Market data is bundled rather than billed separately for most of the journey. Level 1 data, meaning best bid, best ask and last traded price, is included with every plan at every stage at no cost. Level 2 depth is an optional extra bought from BluSky through the evaluation, Buffer and Sim Funded stages.
Data fees only begin once you reach a live brokerage account, at which point you are classed as a professional CME subscriber and pay your broker directly: $156 per exchange per calendar month on Tradovate and Volumetrica, billed on the 1st, and clearinghouse rates on Rithmic, with the first month deducted from the starting balance.
Resets are priced per plan family: $49 to $69 on Launch evaluations, $79 on any Propel evaluation, $99 to $279 on Orbit, and $99 on Stock plans. Buffer Zone resets start at $250 and step up with each subsequent reset. The Instant plans cannot be reset.

BluSky is a futures-first firm and its evaluations are built around a single failure condition: the minimum balance. Everything below is what the firm allows or restricts while you are trading toward it.
- News trading: allowed, at your own risk. Trading through a scheduled release is not a breach on evaluations, Sim Funded accounts or live brokerage accounts.
- Trading hours: the platform limits when you can trade and attempts to auto-liquidate open positions roughly 15 minutes before the close. BluSky recommends closing everything by 4:45pm ET on futures accounts and will not adjust accounts left open past 5pm ET. Stock plans trade the NYSE session, 9:30am to 4:00pm ET.
- Trade copiers: allowed across your own accounts, on every plan and account size. Copying another trader, a third party or a signal provider is not permitted.
- Contract limits: each plan carries a mini and micro cap. The system caps your size rather than failing you for it, but deliberately working around the limit can lead to liquidation, a restart or refusal of brokerage entry.
- Simultaneous opposite orders: holding a long and a short on the same product at the same time is prohibited by exchange rule and results in permanent closure by the brokerage.
- Account counts: evaluation accounts are unlimited and can be held in any combination. Funded accounts are capped at three at a time across Sim Funded, Instant Sim Funded and Direct to Funded.
- Automation: software used to exploit latency, pricing errors or system glitches is prohibited, as are spoofing, off-market fills and delayed or external data feeds that give an unfair edge.
Consistency rules
BluSky applies a consistency rule to almost every plan. It compares your largest single profitable day against the sum of your profitable days. Losing days are excluded from the calculation entirely, which is more forgiving than dividing by net profit.
- Launch evaluations: 50%. Because your biggest day cannot exceed half of your profitable total, the target cannot be reached in fewer than 2 profitable days.
- Propel evaluations and the Static plans: 34%, which sets a practical floor of 3 profitable days. The 300K Propel plan works to 21% instead.
- Buffer Zone (Launch and Propel): 34%, or 21% on the 300K.
- Orbit evaluations: none. This is what allows an Orbit evaluation to be passed in a single day. Once Orbit is Sim Funded a 40% rule applies, and it resets after every successfully processed payout request.
- Instant Sim Funded and Direct to Funded: 21%.
- Stock plans: 30% of the profit target in both phases. On a $700 target, the best day must be no more than $210.
Being out of consistency does not fail the account. It is checked when you request a payout or attempt to pass a phase, and it is fixed by trading on: every additional profitable day grows the total you are measured against and brings the percentage down.
Firm rules
Outside the drawdown maths, these are the conditions that end a BluSky account or cost you a passed evaluation.
- An unpaid launch fee. Launch and Stock plans charge a one-off fee the moment you pass the evaluation, payable within 14 days from the Billing section of the members area. If it is not paid by the due date the account expires immediately and the passed evaluation is forfeited. It cannot be reinstated, and no reset or renewal restores it. Propel, Orbit and the Instant plans carry no launch fee.
- Trading during a review. The Risk Team can open a review at any time, and one is mandatory before total profit passes $10,000. While it is open the account cannot be traded and payouts are held. Trading anyway forfeits the account, and the firm names this as the most common way traders lose an account they had already earned.
- Missing the transition window. A Live Brokerage invitation is valid for 5 calendar days. Let it lapse and the source Sim Funded account is closed and the earmarked profit balance is forfeited.
- Dormancy. Evaluation, Buffer, Sim Funded and brokerage accounts left inactive for 30 consecutive days may be closed, and a closed account cannot be reopened.
- Failing KYC or brokerage onboarding. The clearing firm and brokers run KYC and AML checks and require government ID plus proof of address. If those checks fail, or the brokerage declines the application, the account is terminated and no refund is due.
- Conduct. Account cycling, deliberately failing a live account, exploiting promotional codes, abusive contact with staff and chargebacks raised without grounds are all treated as breaches, with outcomes ranging from a warning to permanent termination.
Billing runs on a 30 day cycle during the evaluation and renews automatically, including on a failed account, so it has to be cancelled in the members area to stop. A renewal on an already failed account carries a free reset. All subscription sales are final; a refund may be considered within 48 hours of purchase with written justification, less a 50% processing deduction.
