Consistency

Consistency rules

No description provided for this prop firm. The following is a generic template for PROP_FIRM_CONSISTENCY_RULES to be used until a firm-specific description is supplied.

Consistency Rules

  • Evaluation window: Traders are evaluated over a fixed period (for example, 10 trading days) to measure consistency of performance.
  • Profit target and drawdown: Traders must meet a minimum profit target while maintaining a maximum allowed drawdown.
  • Max daily loss: A daily loss limit triggers a risk control if exceeded.
  • Trade count: A minimum number of trades within the evaluation window may be required to ensure activity.
  • Risk management: Traders must adhere to position sizing and risk per trade limits set by the firm (e.g., max 1% of capital per trade).
  • Consistency threshold: A stable P/L trend with controlled volatility is expected; excessive variability may lead to disqualification.
  • Rule enforcement: Violations can result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or disqualification based on severity.
  • Reporting: All trades must be reported through the approved platform; delays or misreporting can affect evaluation.
  • Evaluation outcomes: Pass/fail criteria and next steps are clearly defined.

Notes

Update this description once a firm-specific set of rules is provided. This template is for consistency-rule guidance.

Trading Rules & Restrictions

  • All trades must be closed by 3:45 PM EST on Fridays. Any open trades will be automatically closed, resulting in a soft breach. Trading can resume when markets reopen.
  • Excessive risk-taking is not allowed.
  • Using one strategy to pass the assessment and a different strategy in the funded stage is prohibited.

Inactivity & Breach Policies

  • Traders must place at least one trade every 30 days to remain active. Failure to do so results in an account breach.
  • If a hard breach occurs while you have gains in your Funded Account, you will still receive your portion of those gains.

Copy Trading & EAs

  • Copy trading is allowed, but trades must be your own.
  • Copying trades from your personal account to Ment Funding or between your own Ment Funding accounts is acceptable.
  • Risk management and trade management EAs are allowed.

News Trading

  • During these events, traders are restricted from opening new positions within a 6-minute window – 3 minutes before and 3 minutes after the event. However, you can still manage existing trades, including closing positions, adjusting stop-losses, or moving trailing stops.
