Broker Summary

What Wikilix has recorded about MIDTOU: its history, the licences it holds, its trading conditions and its fees.

MIDTOU Broker Overview

MIDTOU is the trading brand of PT. Midtou Aryacom Futures, an Indonesian futures brokerage with its head office at UOB Plaza Thamrin Nine in central Jakarta. The company has held a licence from Indonesia's commodity futures regulator since 2005 and serves the domestic market, offering forex, commodity and stock index contracts on MetaTrader 4 with leverage of up to 1:100 and suggested starting capital from IDR 5,000,000 for a small trading plan.

The offering is deliberately narrow. There is one published live trading account, one platform, and one funding route, which is a transfer to the company's segregated client accounts at Indonesian banks. PT. Midtou Aryacom Futures states that it operates in Indonesia only and has no representative or broker outside the country.

MIDTOU Regulation and License

PT. Midtou Aryacom Futures holds business licence 820/BAPPEBTI/SI/10/2005 from the Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi (BAPPEBTI), the commodity futures trading regulator that sits under Indonesia's Ministry of Trade. The entry was read on BAPPEBTI's own public register, which lists the company as a licensed futures broker, or pialang berjangka, and records a separate permit numbered 1143/BAPPEBTI/SP/3/2007 for the Sistem Perdagangan Alternatif, the framework that covers margined over the counter trading. The register page is public and can be read at bappebti.go.id.

BAPPEBTI publishes no issue date, no expiry date and no status wording for the entry, so the licence's standing rests on the company appearing on the licensed futures broker list and not on the revoked list. The permission is domestic in scope: it is an Indonesian futures brokerage licence, and the company says it has no representative or broker outside Indonesia.

Is MIDTOU Regulated?

Yes, for business inside Indonesia. The licence was confirmed on the regulator's own register under the company's own name and address rather than taken from the company's marketing, which is the strongest form of confirmation available for a regulatory claim. Two limits matter to a reader: the licence is Indonesian, with no representative outside Indonesia, although the broker's FAQ accepts clients living abroad, and BAPPEBTI's regime carries no investor compensation scheme that would reimburse a client for trading losses or for a firm failure.

PT. Midtou Aryacom Futures

The licensed company is PT. Midtou Aryacom Futures, registered in Indonesia and based at UOB Plaza Thamrin Nine, 41st floor, Jl. M.H. Thamrin kav 8 to 10, Jakarta Pusat 10230. It runs a branch network inside the country, with further offices in Surabaya, Makassar, Semarang, Bandar Lampung, Denpasar, Yogyakarta and Solo.

The company publishes a disaffiliation notice naming five brands it says it has no connection with at all: Midtou Global Finance, Midtou Financial, OTM Trade, OTM FX and OTM Ventures. It also warns that parties are approaching the public in its name. The practical point for a reader is that the licence covers the Jakarta company operating on midtou.com and nothing else.

Is MIDTOU Safe?

The supporting factors are a government licence confirmed on the regulator's register, operation since 2005, a physical head office and branch network, and client money placed in segregated accounts at named Indonesian banks rather than in the company's operating accounts. Regulation is not in itself proof of safety, and three limitations carry weight against those factors.

BAPPEBTI provides a complaint route, so the protection available to a client rests on the segregation rules and on enforcement rather than on a guarantee. The company's own impersonation notice shows that its name is being used by others, which is a risk at the point of first contact rather than a reflection on the licensed firm. And the published commercial terms are incomplete: no fee, limit or processing figure is stated for either funding channel, and the single account tier is published without its own minimum deposit or leverage.

MIDTOU Account Types

MIDTOU publishes one live trading account rather than a tiered range. The broker's FAQ suggests starting capital from IDR 5,000,000 for a small trading plan, a suggestion rather than an account minimum, and the conditions that matter, which are fixed spreads and leverage of up to 1:100, apply across the account rather than varying by tier. A demo account is available through the client area for anyone who wants to test the platform first.

MIDTOU Spreads, Commissions and Fees

The trading cost sits in the spread. MIDTOU quotes fixed spreads averaging around 3 pips, and its product specifications state no commission rate. No deposit or withdrawal fee is published for either bank transfer channel, and no account maintenance or inactivity charge is stated.

MIDTOU Leverage

Maximum leverage is 1:100. The ratio actually available depends on the product being traded.

MIDTOU Trading Platforms

MetaTrader 4 is the broker's trading platform. MIDTOU distributes a branded Windows terminal from its own together with the MT4 applications for iOS and Android, and the build is offered in Indonesian as well as English. MetaTrader 5 is not offered. Account opening and administration are handled separately, in the client area at client.midtou.com.

MIDTOU Deposits and Withdrawals

Funding is by bank transfer only. Rupiah transfers are accepted at Bank BCA, Bank CIMB Niaga, Bank CCB Indonesia, Bank BNI and Bank Mandiri, and US dollar transfers at Bank BCA, Bank CIMB Niaga and Bank BNI. The company states that these are segregated client accounts held for client transactions rather than company operating accounts. There are no card, e-wallet or cryptocurrency routes.

Withdrawals of capital or profit can be requested on any business day from Monday to Friday, through an online or a manual form, and the company states that they are processed the same day. No fee, minimum or maximum is published for either channel.

MIDTOU Support

Support is by telephone and email, in Indonesian and English. There is no live chat. The main line is +62 21 299 32111 and general enquiries go to support@midtou.com. Complaints have a dedicated route through the Divisi Unit Pengaduan on 021 29937308 and pengaduannasabah@midtou.com, and a client can also take a complaint to the regulator directly at pengaduan.bappebti.go.id. The Jakarta head office and the regional branches receive clients in person.

MIDTOU Pros and Cons

In the broker's favour:

  • A licence confirmed on BAPPEBTI's own register, in the company's own name.
  • Operation since 2005, with a Jakarta head office and branches in seven other Indonesian cities.
  • Client money in segregated accounts at named Indonesian banks, with same day withdrawal processing on business days.

Against it:

  • No representative or broker outside Indonesia, although the broker's FAQ accepts clients living abroad.
  • One platform, one published account tier and bank transfer as the only funding route.
  • No fees, limits or processing figures published for either funding channel.
  • No live chat, and no investor compensation scheme behind the licence.

MIDTOU Review and Assessment

MIDTOU is a domestic Indonesian futures broker operating within what its licence allows. For an Indonesian resident looking for a locally regulated route into forex, commodity and index futures on MetaTrader 4, with client money in segregated bank accounts and a regulator that accepts complaints directly, the proposition is coherent, and the licence behind it was read on the regulator's own register.

The point to settle before funding an account is cost and process, because that is where the published information stops. The spread is the only stated charge, and nothing is published about transfer fees, withdrawal limits or how a late request is handled. Those are worth getting in writing. Anyone approached by a firm using a similar MIDTOU or OTM name should treat it as unrelated to the licensed company until the Jakarta office confirms otherwise.

How we know — 6 sources
  1. 1No restricted-countries or accepted-countries list is published anywhere on the broker's own site. The client agreement shown at account opening (https://client.midtou.com/register) runs to 29 clauses with no capacity, eligibility or prohibited-jurisdiction clause among them, and the terms page at https://www.midtou.com/aboutus/syarat_kebijakan/ limits itself to saying the information on the site is not an offer or solicitation where that would be considered unlawful or illegal, naming no jurisdiction. The candidate paths for a dedicated countries page return not-found, and the site's own sitemap at https://www.midtou.com/sitemap.xml lists no such page.
  2. 2The registration form at https://client.midtou.com/register, and its live-account variant at https://client.midtou.com/register?type=live, asks only for full name, email, telephone number, referral code, platform choice and password. It carries no country or residence field, so onboarding is not gated by country at the form itself. The only country-level list in the flow is the telephone dialling-code selector, a closed list of 50 entries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, India, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada, New Zealand, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa and Tonga. That selector controls the contact number, not the client's jurisdiction, so those countries are not listed as accepted. They are given here as the only country list the onboarding flow publishes.
  3. 3Indonesia is recorded as explicitly accepted. The footer notice carried on every page states, in the broker's own words on the English variant of https://www.midtou.com/, that PT. Midtou Aryacom Futures is fully operated in Indonesia only and has no representative or broker outside Indonesia, and on the Indonesian variant that it sepenuhnya beroperasi di Indonesia saja dan tidak memiliki perwakilan atau broker di luar Indonesia. The client-money accounts listed at https://www.midtou.com/aboutus/ are segregated accounts at five Indonesian banks in rupiah and US dollars, and the registration form defaults to the +62 (ID) dialling code.
  4. 4The broker's own FAQ accepts clients who live outside Indonesia. At https://www.midtou.com/insight/faq/, the answer to whether somebody living far from the head office or a branch can become a client reads Dimanapun anda tinggal termasuk diluar kota ataupun diluar negeri anda bisa menjadi nasabah PT. Midtou, that is, wherever you live, including outside the city or outside the country. That does not conflict with the footer notice, which denies overseas representatives and agents rather than overseas clients. 'Outside the country' names no jurisdiction.
  5. 5No jurisdiction is recorded as blocked, either confirmed or inferred: no page on the broker's own site names a country, a region or a category of residents it refuses to serve. The same FAQ sets out the only client conditions published anywhere, and none of them is jurisdictional: a minimum age of 21 with legal capacity, a prior demo account, willingness to meet and be interviewed by one of the broker's licensed representatives, and a margin deposit into the segregated account.
  6. 6The framework the broker publishes around those accounts is wholly Indonesian, which is the context for the Indonesia-only operating statement rather than a restriction on any other country: the privacy policy presented at account opening names Bappebti, the OJK, Bank Indonesia, KSEI, the BKDI and BBJ futures exchanges and the ICH and KBI clearing houses as the bodies client data may be passed to, and the registration numbers shown at https://www.midtou.com/aboutus/ are Indonesian.
Recorded by WIKILIX research, not published by the broker, and not a guarantee. A country listed nowhere above is not thereby accepted — check MIDTOU's own terms before you open an account.
