Sinarmas Futures is the trading brand of PT Sinarmas Futures, an Indonesian commodity futures brokerage based in Jakarta. The company states on its own website that it has held operating permission from BAPPEBTI, the Indonesian commodity futures regulator under the Ministry of Trade, since 2006, and that it has more than sixteen years of experience in the Indonesian futures market. Its licence is recorded under number 889/BAPPEBTI/SI/3/2006 and covers forex, futures and financial derivatives trading.
Regulation. BAPPEBTI is a genuine government regulator, and the permission it grants is a domestic one: it authorises a firm to broker Indonesian exchange-traded futures and forex for Indonesian clients. It is not an international retail CFD licence, and traders outside Indonesia should not read it as one. The licence record was confirmed against a licence certificate in this research; it was not possible to open the regulator's own public register in the course of this review, so the entry has not been re-read at source. The broker's own site does not publish a regulation page, a licence number or a verification link, and directs client complaints to the regulator's complaint portal at pengaduan.bappebti.go.id.
What they offer. The site describes a product set built around GOFX contracts, meaning gold, forex and crude oil, traded directly on the ICDX exchange in Jakarta rather than against the broker's own book. Client money is described as held at the Indonesia Clearing House rather than by the brokerage itself, which is the standard Indonesian segregation arrangement and a meaningful protection. The single platform the broker promotes is MetaTrader 5, with Android, iOS and Windows builds linked from the homepage.
What is not disclosed. The website is a single brochure page. It does not publish account types, minimum deposits, spreads, commissions, swap terms, leverage, deposit or withdrawal methods, fees, processing times, a client agreement, terms and conditions, or a list of countries it will or will not accept. There is no online account-opening form and no live chat. Support is by telephone and email only, in Indonesian, on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 WIB.
Who it suits. Indonesian residents who want exchange-traded gold, forex and oil exposure through a domestically licensed broker, and who are willing to obtain the commercial terms directly from the company before funding an account. It is not a practical option for traders outside Indonesia: the language, the regulatory perimeter and the exchange are all domestic.
Honest caveats. The near-total absence of published trading conditions is the main issue. A prospective client cannot compare costs, leverage or withdrawal terms before making contact, and the commercial documentation that most brokers publish openly here has to be requested. The company's incorporation record could not be examined, because Indonesia does not operate a free public company search, so the corporate entity behind the brand is disclosed but not independently confirmed.
