Summary of the broker
NBI INVESTMENTS Broker Overview
NBI INVESTMENTS is a forex and CFD brand that traded under the domain nbimarkets.net and named NBI INVESTMENTS LIMITED of Limassol, Cyprus as its company. The company itself is real and verifiable: it is registered with the Cypriot Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property under number HE 289258 and remains listed as active. The trading service, however, is not currently operating. The nbimarkets.net domain does not resolve, and neither its public pages nor its client and trading portals can be reached.
Because the website is offline, the broker's own published terms, pricing, funding channels and platform list cannot be read. What can be documented is a four tier account ladder with entry deposits from EUR 250 to EUR 50,000 and leverage of up to 1:400, and the corporate record of the company named behind the brand.
NBI INVESTMENTS Regulation and License
No trading licence for the NBI INVESTMENTS service could be confirmed. There is no forex or CFD authorisation on record for this operation, no licence number published that WIKILIX was able to verify, and no regulator that can be shown to supervise the nbimarkets.net service or to hold client money protections over it.
What does exist is a company registration. NBI INVESTMENTS LIMITED is incorporated in Cyprus, and that fact is confirmed on the official registry. A company registration is not financial regulation. It records that a legal entity exists; it grants no permission to accept client deposits, to deal in foreign exchange, or to offer leveraged products, and it carries no compensation scheme or segregation requirement for client funds.
There is a further matter a prospective client should weigh. The Italian securities regulator CONSOB published a warning in December 2022 that named the nbimarkets.net domain, together with its account and trading subdomains, among websites offering financial services without authorisation in Italy. The brand's account tiers are named in Italian, which is consistent with an operation aimed at Italian speaking clients.
Is NBI INVESTMENTS Regulated?
No. On the evidence available, NBI INVESTMENTS holds no confirmed financial regulation for the trading service it offered. The Cypriot company behind the brand is properly registered as a company, but WIKILIX could not establish that the nbimarkets.net trading service was operated under, or covered by, any investment firm authorisation. A reader should treat the operation as unregulated unless and until a licence covering it is produced and can be checked against the issuing authority's own register.
NBI INVESTMENTS LIMITED
The legal company named behind the brand is NBI INVESTMENTS LIMITED, a private limited company registered in Cyprus on 23 June 2011 under number HE 289258. Its registered office is Arch. Makariou III 256, Eftapaton Court 2, Unit A, Floor 4, 3105 Limassol, Cyprus. The registry lists six directors and a company secretary, and an LEI record for the same company and number confirms the same address and an active status.
Two details are worth noting. The address carried on the brand's own listing gives the street number as 56 rather than the registered 256, and the company's last completed annual return was filed on 27 November 2020, with several later annual returns still shown as pending. The registration is genuine, but the filing record is not current.
Is NBI INVESTMENTS Safe?
NBI INVESTMENTS cannot be considered safe to fund. The decisive points are that no supervising authority can be confirmed over the service, that a European regulator publicly flagged the domain as offering financial services without authorisation, and that the website and its client portals are now unreachable. A client with a balance on an offline platform has no published route to recover it, and no regulator identified as able to compel its return.
The existence of a registered and active Cypriot company does not offset this. Registration tells a client who to name in a complaint; it does not tell them that their deposits were ever held under supervision.
NBI INVESTMENTS Account Types
Four account tiers were published, separated by entry deposit and leverage ceiling rather than by any disclosed pricing:
- MICRO: from EUR 250. Leverage not stated.
- ARGENTO: from EUR 5,000, leverage up to 1:200.
- ORO: from EUR 25,000, leverage up to 1:300.
- PLATINO: from EUR 50,000, leverage up to 1:400.
Automated trading was indicated as supported on each tier. No spread, commission, account currency, minimum trade size or instrument coverage was published for any of the four, so the real cost of trading on any tier is unknown. The EUR 25,000 and EUR 50,000 entry points are high by retail standards and place meaningful sums with an operator whose supervision could not be established.
NBI INVESTMENTS Leverage
Leverage rose with the size of the deposit, from 1:200 on ARGENTO to 1:300 on ORO and 1:400 on PLATINO. Leverage at 1:400 is well above the retail limits that apply in the European Union, where regulated providers are generally capped at 1:30 for major currency pairs.
NBI INVESTMENTS Pros and Cons
Pros
- The company named behind the brand is real, identifiable and confirmed as active on the official Cypriot registry, with a registration number, an incorporation date, a street address and named officers.
- The account ladder and its leverage ceilings were published clearly enough to compare tier by tier.
Cons
- No trading licence could be confirmed for the service, and company registration is not a substitute for one.
- A European regulator named the domain in a warning about unauthorised financial services.
- The website and its client and trading portals no longer resolve, so the service cannot be reached or assessed.
- No pricing, funding, withdrawal, platform or support information is available.
- Leverage of up to 1:400 far exceeds the limits applied to regulated retail providers in the European Union.
NBI INVESTMENTS Review and Assessment
NBI INVESTMENTS presents an unusual combination: a genuine, long registered Cypriot company on one side, and on the other a trading domain that an Italian authority warned about and that is now entirely offline. The gap between the two is the whole of the problem. Confirming that a company exists is not confirming that it was licensed to take deposits, and nothing available closes that gap for the nbimarkets.net service.
The most important consideration before acting on this profile is therefore not pricing or leverage but recoverability. Anyone who deposited with this brand should treat it as a recovery matter rather than a trading account, and anyone considering a similar offer should require a licence number that can be checked directly against the issuing regulator's own register before sending money.
