StoneX is the brand of StoneX Group Inc., a United States company listed on NASDAQ under the ticker SNEX, which dates itself to 1924. The parent does not take client trading accounts itself: around thirty operating companies sit beneath it, and the one authorised in the United Kingdom is StoneX Financial Ltd, company number 05616586. Which of those companies an account is with determines the rules and protections that apply to it.

Spread betting markets carry no commission, and neither do CFD markets other than shares. Share CFDs are charged at 0.08% on United Kingdom and European shares with a minimum of GBP 10 or EUR 10, 0.08% on Australian shares with a minimum of AUD 5, from 0.08% on Asian shares with a minimum of SGD 10, and 1.8 US cents per share on United States shares with a minimum of USD 10. The Professional account rebates turnover above GBP 25 million notional in a calendar month, from GBP 4 per million on foreign exchange and GBP 2 per million on indices. No average spread is published, so the spread cost of a trade cannot be compared in advance from published figures.

Card payouts are published at three to five business days. An online withdrawal runs from a minimum of GBP 100 to a maximum of GBP 20,000 per transaction, or the whole available balance where that is lower, and StoneX charges no withdrawal fee of its own, including on BACS transfers. A net deposit on a payment method has to be back to zero before excess funds can be withdrawn by a different route, and a small number of Visa and MasterCard credit cards cannot receive payouts, in which case funds go to a nominated bank account.

Two platforms are recorded: MetaTrader 4 and TradingView. MetaTrader 4 runs on the Standard MT4 account across indices, foreign exchange, metals and commodities, and supports Expert Advisors, the MetaTrader Market and FX Blue add-ons, with Windows, iOS and Android builds. TradingView is listed for CFD accounts across indices, shares, foreign exchange, metals and commodities, with its indicator library, screeners and Pine Script, on desktop, iOS and Android. Both are available from the StoneX download centre.

No minimum opening deposit is published for any StoneX account. The practical floor is set by how the account is funded: a card deposit has a minimum of GBP 100 or the equivalent in EUR or USD, while a bank transfer has no stated minimum. The spread betting, CFD, Professional and Standard MT4 accounts each record no deposit requirement of their own.

The platforms recorded for StoneX cover index, share, foreign exchange, metals and commodity markets. These are traded as CFDs, and on the United Kingdom site as spread bets. Share CFDs reach United Kingdom, European, United States, Australian and Asian markets and are priced by commission, while other CFD markets and spread betting markets carry none. No instrument counts are published for this profile.

Accounts are opened through StoneX's own application process, and the broker only accepts money that belongs to the account holder. Third-party payments and cash paid directly into its bank account are not accepted and are returned to source, deposits have to be in the base currency of the account they come from, and refunds go back only to the original funding source. Up to three payment cards can be registered on an account at a time. This profile records no detail of the identity documents requested at sign-up.

No maximum leverage is published. None of the four accounts recorded for StoneX, which are spread betting, CFD, Professional and Standard MT4, carries a stated leverage cap, and no overall figure is published for the broker either. Treat any single headline leverage number for StoneX as unverified.

StoneX takes debit cards, credit cards and bank transfers, and charges nothing of its own to deposit or to withdraw. No electronic wallet or local payment option is recorded. The card minimum is GBP 100 or the equivalent in EUR or USD, a bank transfer has no stated minimum, and money has to come from the account holder: third-party payments and cash paid into the bank account are rejected and returned to source.

Regulation is not the same as safety: each authorisation belongs to one company, so what protects you depends on which StoneX entity holds your account.
