Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) carries this authorisation under the name StoneX Financial (HK) Limited, central entity number BCQ152, and not under the StoneX brand. As at this check on 7 October 2026, the Public Register of Licensed Persons and Registered Institutions showed the firm as a Licensed Corporation for dealing in futures contracts, an entry open ended since 3 July 2014, alongside dealing in securities since 24 March 2023.
The SFC is Hong Kong's statutory regulator for the securities and futures markets, and it licenses by regulated activity rather than by firm, so each permission is granted, dated and recorded separately. Two licensing conditions sit on this record, both effective 3 July 2014: the licensee may not hold client assets, and it may provide services only to professional investors as defined in the Securities and Futures Ordinance. Leveraged foreign exchange trading does not appear among its activities.
A register entry records that a permission exists on a given date. It is not a statement about the firm's solvency, its conduct or the terms it offers, and the authorisation attaches to this Hong Kong company rather than automatically to every site or affiliate trading under the StoneX name.
The register printed the licensee name, the central entity number, the date of licence, the regulated activities with their effective periods, a principal place of business at Unit 901, 9/F, 100 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong, an e-mail address and the website www.stonex.com. It printed no expiry date and no telephone number, and it publishes no status word at all, so standing is read from the effective period, which here is open ended. A previous name, INTL FCStone (HK) Limited, is recorded as valid until 13 August 2020, and no public disciplinary action was listed.
A reader can confirm this by opening the SFC public register and looking up BCQ152. A withdrawal, a surrender, a new condition or a change of company name would change the answer.
